ebay/paypal credit scam-victim Psalm71one
krys replied to Psalm 71 one's topic in Computer Questions
Psalmie - file a police report too! That way in case you have to sue somebody to get restitution there is a report on file. The cops can't do anything...but the report may be valuable later -

Psalmie - how did you find out about this in the first place? -

First - contact the bank that holds the mortgage. They usually will work with you if they know about it. -
Friends ended one key at a time....just as it should have.

Yes Excathie - I enjoy it very much. It is "pure" entertainment and it's very up beat and fresh. Even if you watch it most of the time, there is always a surprise...you can never really predict what is coming next. When she has a guest, she visits with them, rather than interview them..she gets them to do stuff with her and sometimes it's so funny that I have trouble not pimp! Tape it and give it a look-see. In my view, if you're not home to watch it...it's worth the videotape!

Was your nametag really indicative of your faithfulness to God?
krys replied to Hills Bro's topic in About The Way
My Dear Mr. Strange: Having a GreaseSpot nametag would be soooo kewel...because I never use my name...if I had a "krys" nametag and I went to a weenie roast, or a snipe hunt or perhaps a wedding...I would know what to do with it! I wasn't overly excited, merely whining like the child at the candy by the super market checkout....but I appreciate how much you care for me and I love you too! -
Friends is 10 years and Frasier is 11 I think

well - - I guess this will bring a lot of complaints....but I do like Whoopi's new show...funny lines in it. Of course, they could always move Ellen to evening and put some other really lame something in her slot. I watch a lot of TV just to keep my brain tracking...history channel, science channel...lots of "educational" stuff....and some cool movies...but that's because I can't get out as much as I used to. I do more reading now...and stitching.... But this could be a good thing in the end. We all tend to spend too much time in front of the tube and not being too careful about what's on!

Happy Mothers Day -- Tribute to Mothers
krys replied to Kit Sober's topic in Greasespot Holidays, Holydays and Heydays
Mother's Day is always the second Sunday in May - - and Father's Day is always the third Sunday in June! -
You asked - - so I'm giving my opinion!!! I think he's worth his weight in gold. Go for it! Don't commit everything you've got on it - but definitely relax and enjoy the persuit of being persuited - He has definite keeper-qualities. Everything mentioned here on this thread is important in a marriage. But if I were looking for a spouse at your age - I would want them all...but the single most important thing I would want would be a secure and loving companionship for the laung haul...and it seems like you would provide provide that for each other.

Most of what I think is important has been well said. I would add that I would look at his culture. That is not limited to "ethnic" parameters (can you really eat Polish food and enjoy it)...but the surrounding where he hangs out....and think if anything about it makes YOU feel uncomfortable about being there. All us women will have moments of feeling uncomfortable around our significant other's surroundings. I'm talking consistent things. Can you joyfully and willingly bring pretzles and beer to the TV while he and his friends watch the football game? Will they be spirited and generally be "ok" with it?(as ok as any human female can be watching 22 of the finest specemins of male-ness beat each other up over a silly piece of pig skin - especially in the rain) OR will his friends be slobs and make themselves generally unwealcome. This could be something you could have to live with. Will his family accept you for what you are completely? (assuming you get that far in the relationship)

Dovey - I find that fascinating. How long were you on it? how much did you lose?

I wish you well Jonny Lingo. Prayers for you daily - and may the force be with you as well. live long, and, of course...prosper

Maybe he is being a gentleman and a really good son deferring further remarks until his mother falls asleep.

She looks like a keeper to me! I hope she enjoys you!

Never Wait--Screenwriting for fun and profit

That is one profound statement. -
Thank you dmiller! I thought it was pretty funny...but when I saw the few responses, I thought my failing gray matter short-circuited. Actually, it's pretty funny when you read it for what it is!

This really fries my gizzard! I am the first one to admit here, that I kamt spel! Spelling used to be my forte in school - but then I had a "circulatory event" and that left...together with a few other subtle things. So I use a spell checker, but we don't have one here. I'm NOT talking about this board where thoughts are more important and some of us don't catch mistakes....... BUT this appears to be a document that was printed...it seems it was a "test" of some kind...and for the Army, no less...and it contained distracting spelling errors. That is inexcusable! Maybe it's not spelling,as in my case...lots of times it's the keystrokes. I never had a course in this...I taught myself, and that's always dangerous... The number of spelling errors in newspapers, and other things really makes me mad - when it comes from "professionals" because it shows sloppy work. And if we accept it we promote it. (that's the end of my soap box for today)

We could not offer WAP to brandy new people. They had to be "faithful" to fellowship and I think they had to be ABSing too. They would have been used to lcm's screaming from the mandatory sns. There was only 1 thing that I thought was rather well done - that was leading any who needed it into tongues. Instead of everybody focussing on them, and causing embarrassment...the newbies were scattered around the room with grads around them to encourage. Nobody got singled out...nobody had to stand up and feel like he was weird. Also - I think it was done in the 4th meeting. I never took a class with newbies, however, I was out before that. There were several classes put together in my branch...and existing members were assigned into the first, second or third. I lost track of how many times I sat through piffle, but I do recall WAP was shorter meetings and there was usually no time when you sat for more than 1 1/4 hour...so it was more comfortable physically - and the exhaustion factor was minimized. Even so...I was "jangeled" inside at the conclusion of every single meeting and it took me a very long time to understand why - - it was all, or nearly all disjointed garbage and much of it didn't fit with what we had already been taught - either in sequence, or content. I had almost 20 years in...and my brains were scrambled.

I missed seeing your font around here Excie - glad you're posting :)--> I'm glad the project worked out and that if I was helpful - I'm extra happy. I'm not really so smart...just lots of experience.

If you and your dog are very friendly with kisses, take him to the vet for a parasite check. There are some Canine parasites which can be passed to humans. All of you need to be taken care of at once if he's the carrier and if it is parasites, otherwise you'll just be passing it back and forth among you. In the meantime, I would boil any and all water used for all of you for drinking or cooking. Steam distilling your own is best...but until you can do that, boiling will work.
