I think it is safe to assume that his thread is dead as far as the original question :(

templelady replied to Tom Strange's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible

It is the preconceived notions that produce the filters, notions such as everything outside of TWI is bad, Everything in TWI is bad, anyone who disagrees is bad, anyone who holds there position is bad. Got to get those notions gone. And yes , it is possible to look at the world and lay those notions aside.

Which just goes to show that pie has a broad range of definition and accommodates all fillings. won tons are won tons ravioli are ravioli, different ingredients different subtlety of flavor. Of course my love of the subtle nuances of food is probably why my body is so VOLUPTUOIUS

This is some of the things I have noticed For demanding that everyone believe about God as they do For being unwilling to ever acknowledge that someone from the other side of the fence (whatever that fence may be) has ever made a good point For demeaning and vicious words For deliberately posting in a way that creates hurt feelings

Actually there won't be any music in hell, or art, or craft --all these things provide relief in some way from lifes trials there will be no relief there As for the 90's songs--dear oh dear --that is really bad--they don't appear to have any rhythm at all and then there is the horrible contortions of the words themselves

The years in question were obtained by subtracting the year of death from 2006 for several religious founders. Their names are unimportant, as my point is about 21 years being enough time to get "over it" . If you are really curious do the math and Google the resulting dates.( sorry to sound like someone else here --but in this case I am not going to permit myself to be led into irrelevant side paths)

The crux of the matter is that if you come to GSC with preconceived notions of what GSC is or should be you are sure to be disappointed. But then, IMO, preconceived notions is what caused much of the problems within TWI--no room for independent observation or thought. Far better to see what GSC has to offer without filtering it through the glasses of "All TWI is good" "All TWI is bad" etc etc. Learning not to filter everything with preconceived notions is one of the first lessons, IMO , that you need to learn after exiting TWI.

But you see Allen, It isn't just about if you are over them--It's about if all the rest of us are over them too. What one chooses to think about and how often is a very personal matter-- It isn;t your right to make the decision for the rest of us. If you are over It--great- but some of the rest of us aren't, we will be over it when we are over it.

I always give people the opportunity to stand up and do what is right--Did I expect them?, not really, but In my heart there was a place that hoped I was wrong and so everyday I eagerly awaited the mail hoping the books would be there. -
Thanks for the suggestion :)

Only 21 years??? A very short time when you consider the length of time other religious founders have been gone, 460 years, 442 years 162 years, 434 years, 2000 years to mention a few and no one would suggest we "get Over " them. Why VPW should get a pass on his life and works being examined and reexamined when these other gentlemen don't is a little confusing to me. Could you explain Further???

Definition of Pie a type of food made with meat, vegetables or fruit covered in pastry and baked: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=59751&dict=CALD a meat dish baked with biscuit or pastry crust -- a dessert consisting of a filling (as of fruit or custard) in a pastry shell or topped with pastry or both http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary dish baked in pastry-lined pan often with a pastry top http://www.wordreference.com/definition/pie a baked dish consisting of a filling such as chopped meat or fruit enclosed in pastry and usually cooked in a container http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_/pie.html And thus we see that Pineapple fits like a hand in a glove when speaking of Pizza which is a pie

For those who are wondering As of today, the deadline I gave Mike for delivery of the books he had promised, there are NO e-mails, No more PM's and, most importantly NO BOOKS I think that speaks for itself. -
Formal Apology Interesting So how would they word it in my case Dear A.L .Dilley. S.R. Dilley II. S S. We wish to apologize for all the hurt we caused to each and every member of your family. We knowingly sent Richard Urquhart to your state, knowing he was a pedophile, knowing that he would molest again, We knowingly gave him a twig in the full knowledge that we were giving him carte blanc to continue his activities............... Not in a million years will TWI ever do this

NUMBER ONE PET PEEVE People who stop at the bottom or top of escalators, the doors of elevators, any door, the middle of the aisle or drive to have conversations with other people. I have met these menaces everywhere, I once was blocked in a super market parking lot because someone going in passed someone going out that they knew and stopped , blocking the drive, rolled down their windows and had a conversation, then were PO'd when I honked my horn!!! These offenders become massively indignant when the person trying to use the door or aisle for the purpose it was intended either try to scootch around them or say "excuse me". They glare with fury, sigh, and mutter so as to let the poor people, who are merely trying to go about their business, know that they are insufferably rude to even HINT that so august a personages as themselves should be expected to observe common courtesy and not block the way.
-
Linda, this is not directed at any one person, although there are some more IMO egregious offenders than others, It most surely is not directed at you specifically
-
There are in some cases specific instances that I am thinking about, however to avoid having this thread turn into a rehash of those instances I have deliberately left them out of the picture. It isn't any one thing or post in particular rather an amalgamation of posts and the attitudes therein.

Raf, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that one of the key doctrines of the Cult of Pineapple Pizza is ALL ingredients must be fit for human consumption, With this further edification I am sure that you will see the Pineapple breathed truth of all things pizza
