  1. I was able to sit right away just from reading the holy spirit book, but my twig guy didn't want me to intrepret at twig until compeleting piffle for some reason. I had no trouble with intrepretating but grew tired of it after awhile as it was the same all the time. I was always so concerned the intrepretation was never longer than the tongue and it was in the correct tense and all that garbage. Took the fun out of it.
  2. In the 90's my wife (at the time) and I didn't know what to say or not to say around our LC's. We were supposed to be checking in everyday and letting them know what us and our daughter were doing, with whom, etc. The first thing learned was not to ask any questions, just "yes sir and no sir". My wife was offered a job in a different city and decided to take it. Of course accepting it was a big mistake because we hadn't 'cleared' it with the LC's first...we were needed in our present city more than in the one we were moving to. After they sorta got over that they were ....ed because we had hired a guy in our twig to move us. Her new firm was willing to pay for our move and this guy was out of work, so we decided to hire him. WRONG!! According to the LC's, the household worked together to bless one another, and didn't charge for it. So we hired a professional moving company. After that we didn't know what to say to whom, so we kept quiet as much as possible so as not to upset the apple cart.
  3. If someone posts on Greasespot and it gets misinterpreted I have seen it called a lie. I think a better way to handle it would be to correct the person who misinterpeted what you said before calling them a liar.
  4. Dolly's Creator Moving Ahead With Research I believe this is a wonderful thing. Imagine taking diseased or damaged body parts, regrowing, and making them new again.
  5. Never been called, just lucky I guess. In Montana names are drawn from those registered to vote. I have not missed many elections.
  6. Work some of the 'krinkles and ridges' out and he will be just fine.
  7. "Well, I BELIEVE that twi had a rapist on the payroll and the entire bot knew it..." As Pawtucket pointed out TWI used their power to influence and coerce Adults not children.
  8. "There is virtually no way the catholic church can be bankrupted....." Tucson and Portland Diocese's have filed because of the sexual abuse payments.
  9. "I see adults all over the place wanting to be a teen again or still wishing to be part of the cool group, to bad because this is the time the most discipline and guidance is needed. We learn to be adults by making choices that is good for a community outside of our own protective families. That is what these girls learned, simply enough, if these girls where shot or hurt in some way I wonder if you would scream the home owner was wrong for defending her property, esp. if they were there for less than honorable reasons." Hap said they rang the door bell and left so how could they have ever been shot? What does "adults all over the place wanting to be a teen again or still wishing to be part of the cool group.....,". What does this statement have to do with the situation of these two girls? Are you inferring their parents were 'part of the problem'? This sounds to me like a money hungary woman and her lawyer wanting to line their pockets.
  10. Provides a whole new meaning to "cork it" buddy.
  11. Hogwash....our children's lives are to precious to worry about someone who can't spell for heavens sakes. It has been done in the U.S. for some time now and I haven't heard of any doctors being attached. At least we know where these preditors live and can protect our kids from them. This coming from the same England which believes a burglar has the right to expect he will not be shot while breaking into your home. Some residents of the country are questioning the absurdity of this belief and once again want the right to arm and protect themselves, their family, and property. God save the Queen.
  12. I hope the community is great at holding grudges and using this woman as an example of what being a money hungery person is all about.
  13. And Ermal puffing on his pipe saying, "Pappy was talkin' to him about the storm comin' in, and you better get the Corp inside before they get drenched". Course there were storm clouds all around.
  14. "Some just close their ears and eyes because it's easier to continue on status quo existing and believing what they're told to believe rather than face facts and have to deal with them. It's too painful to admit that something that you loved and trusted in wasn't what you thought it was at all." This is why I stayed way too long.....the ONLY belief and support system I had was TWI's. How could I admit it was wrong and survive? I knew there was no one in the Way I could turn to if I left....I would be immediately shunned. I made no 'unbeliever' friends in my new area, because I didn't want to be "unequally yoked together with them." Leadership would have stopped it anyway......had to account for every hour of the day to them. And then there was the dreaded 'greasespot by midnight' of LCM's hanging over my head. And to be honest I probably never would have left, but, thankfully, they 'marked and avoided' me so I had no choice. The first months were absolute hell for me. The constant condemnation for leaving 'God's Ministry', letting the 'household' down, and waiting for God to 'zap' me, was almost unbearable. As time went on I noticed I was waking up each morning and not dead, no fatal diseases had taken me over, I was holding my head up much more, and I felt like my life was slowly once again becoming mine. I have never looked back since then. Greasespot Cafe was such a termednous part of my recovery.....I can't imagine what it would have been like not seeing ex wayfers posting the exact same things I was thinking and going through. No doubt I would have made it but who knows how much longer it would have taken figuring things out myself. I have said this many times before but I want to thank Pawtucket from the bottom of my heart for having this web site available.
  15. 'Braveheart' Becomes Role Model for Christian Men Men should become less passive and "engage" those around them, particularly their wives and children.
  16. Hey P-Mosh.......substitute the word 'liberal' for 'Oklahoma' in all your posts on this thread and you will have a bird's eye view of yourself. "The people are generally lazy, rude, and a lot more ignorant than I am." Pretty much sums up the liberal thought process. Now back to the topic.....................
  17. I have bid only once. I had priced a particular model of gas furnace to install in my garage and decided to watch e-bay for a used one. The exact model was found, and the bidding lasted for a week or so. I put in my bid and followed closely everyday until the bid hit the same price as a new one. I checked back later and found the successful bidder paid $28 more than the price for a new one, plus shipping and handling. Haven't been back since.
  18. Loy's Way or the Hiway. Fortune 500 Ministries Prevailing Greasespots Ladies Nite In Ministries The Cleaned up Household HomoErectus Blaster's
  19. Bishops Screen Priests On Cruises The bishops have approved more than 650 priests to work on cruise lines in a process designed to weed out unsuitable candidates such as clergy who were suspended in the church's sex abuse scandal or those who have left the priesthood. Now this makes me feel really good!!
  20. "...if he were to contact me, personally acknowledge the damage he he did to me, apologize for the heartbreak, and ask me to forgive him......I am pretty sure that I would have it within me." This is a huge step in your life!! Hopefully I will be able to do the same if someone who has wronged me asked forgiveness. On the flip side of the coin, if I were to go to someone and ask for their forgiveness, hopefully they would respond positively.
  21. The feds are the ones really pushing political correctness to the upteenth degree. I work for an insurance company, and we do work with the federal government, which results in us having to take courses on being politically correct. We are prohibited from making any statements that could offend someone. For example lets say I went to a pawn shop, bargained with the owner, and got an item cheaper than what it was marked, I could not tell my coworkers "I Jewed him down" because it would be offensive to a Jewish person. Or if someone held back money from me I dare not say "you gyped me", because that would be offensive to a Gypsy. Blonde jokes?...excellent way to get yourself fired or suspended. Don't look at someone too long because it could be construed as an unwanted sexual overature. Prepare for a trip to human resources to explain yourself. We have become a nation obsessed with having to make everyone 'feel good', that we can't express ourselves. Satire is being attacked as offensive. Any joke you tell had better be thought out well so it doesn't step on someone's toes.
  22. Awwww, yes nothing like a little dirt about the royal family to kick start the day. After all the Peterson trial is over and it is not much fun seeing all the death and destruction from the tsunami every day.
  23. Congratulations!! If Cowgirl is a Canadian citizen and is planning to live in Texas, hope you are allowing lots of time for the immigration paper work to take place.....can be a real nightmare. I almost got married to a Canadian. Was in the middle of getting the immigration stuff done and decided to break it off. A lot of illegal options available, but if you get caught can spell real trouble. Talk to a reputable attorney.
