  1. I doubt if another look would satisfy anyone. Just the other day there was an account in the news Michael had destroyed documents in Terri's medical records. If the new pope and a team of disinterested nude swimmers did an investigation and published their results, it would never make the naysayers happy.
  2. After that, I didn't bother to read the rest of your post. Maybe you should try less insults next time. Well I for one did read the rest of Ttssa's post and found it quite loving and truthful. Here is a woman giving us a birdseye view into the challenges of her life the past 30 years. Honestly sharing with us the frustration she has had to live with and incorporate into her everyday activities. When we are asked a question an answer is immediately on the tip of our tongue, but with this woman it requires a deliberate, conscious effort on her part to even get the process of thinking involved. I can only imagine what it must be like in social situations for her. She remians quiet because she is not sure of how to respond. Afraid to say anything because what may come out of her mouth is not appropriate for the situation. She deserves better than being scolded for appearing to be insulting. You may understand her insulting comment in a different context if you read the entire post. If you had to think about everything prior to saying it, not sure if it is appropriate, you may come to a different conclusion than you have so far. Even if she did mean it to be insulting, after reading her post and seeing her point of view, she is justly entitled to her opinion.
  3. I had heard about Unitarians somewhere before and didn't think too much about it, but after reading this thread phoned a local fellowship yesterday and am going to attend a meeting next Sunday. The person on the phone asked me what I had heard about their beliefs. Aftger I answered she gave me their web site and invited me next week. The reason UU is intriguing to be is they don't offer a belief system, in opposition to every church I have visited. I have tried to adopt all their different doctrines but many conflict so much, and can't figure out which is correct. Compare Baptists and Roman Catholics. Each believes the other is going to hell so Which is correct? UU believes you adopt your own set of beliefs. I like what I heard so will check it out.
  4. I was trying to make the point it is not murder to withhold food and water in these situations, in opposition to what others have said on the Schiavo threads. There were opinions stated on them she was being treated worse than a dog. That it was inhumane to withhold food and water. I don't believe it is murder.
  5. As I recall when V.P. died it was treated very matter of factly and business like. 1. Rehearsed message given to everyone on phone list about him dying. 2. Everyone told to come over to TC house for dinner. 3. Told to be strong and that God will look out for us. 4. Watched some TWI video. 5. Went home 6. After funeral told Mrs. W. said something like "that's not Dr in the grave, just a dead body". 7. Life went on. I felt we were not expected to, nor should we grieve. It was just time to move on. I really hated that part....saw no compassion what so ever for anyone.
  6. Maybe it was in '78? Don't remember the exact year anymore.
  7. When I was attending the Advanced Class in '79 the then pope died and VeePee said Satan did it to disrupt his class. The Adversary was upset because so much of God's Word was getting out in Emporia. I just wonder what is going on in TWI today that the Devil needed to kill the pope?
  8. Not even the Pope's funeral can stop the wedding. The disgruntled Queen still will not attend the wedding!! Ohhhhh........... Full Steam Ahead
  9. ".........I direct such procedures be withheld or withdrawn including withdrawal of the administration of nutrition and hydration." Apparently Idaho doesn't believe it is murder either.
  10. The original holiday of Easter is probably more in line with what the VPW and LCM version of Christianity would celebrate (e.g. sex.) So, I guess it makes sense that there is no Jesus in it for them. Now it makes sense why the reproducing rabbit symbolizes Easter.
  11. NOTHING!!..NOTHING!!..NOTHING!! struck more fear in the hearts of us Way Bots. In the 70's and 80's, especially after Jonestown, we were always looking over our shoulder as we mindlessly ran to the beat of Atheletes of the Spirit, condenming anyone who still sang Onward Christian Soldiers. If a friend said he created [/b ]something, we self righteously jumped in his face proclaiming "only God can create". For a while it seemed weekly some faithful wayfer was getting nabbed and hauled off to a hotel room. If your parents were wealthy and could afford the deprogrammers, it equalled double terror. Now that you know we were "walking zombies for Jesus", if you were deprogrammed or knew of someone who was, have you been able to forgive the parents involved? Do you believe they had your best interests at heart? How is your relationship with them today? Do you know of any deprogramming still going on?
  12. I have often wondered if Craigers has turned into a greasespot since he was kicked out and no longer under the protection of God's household? Maybe contacted a deadly disease? In Athletes of the Spirit he bragged how he wanted to stand with his shoulders back and for and extended period of time at the bema, to receive all the rewards God had in store for him. Then he would lead God's people when it was time to return to earth and destroy the devil. Since he is a 'cop out', according to TWI's teachings he has forfeited all his crowns and rewards. Now, as he has said many times, "he will just barely squeak in the front door." Poor man!!
  13. I had similar concerns for quite a while after TWIt. Each morning I woke up alive was somewhat a mystery to me. Why wasn't I dead yet or hadn't I contacted a deadly disease? As time pasted I realized life was getting better and gave up the notion of becoming a greasespot.
  14. I have certainly learned to step back and evaluate what is being said before doing much of anything now days. I sleep on it a couple of nights before jumping in. This includes everything from purchases which I think I just can't with out, to advise from people.
  15. A plagure of doctrines. A boggle of books. A contamination of minds. A haggle of debbils. A squirt of spurts. A rank of 2X2's. An odor of dust shakers. A smudgen of glass cleaners. A crook of line stringers.
  16. Pleeeeze say this isn't so!!!! With all JAL has going on do you think he is aware of it? Maybe he heard about it first on GSC.
  17. Ranchers Can Shoot Wolves That Kill Cattle BOISE -- A rancher in remote central Idaho shot a wolf he said was harassing his cattle, marking the first time one of the federally protected predators has been killed under new guidelines that took effect in February. The rancher near Mackay shot the female gray wolf Sunday at 11 p.m. He watched it and another, larger wolf chasing his cattle, the rancher told officials. The other wolf escaped. Under the new rule that affects Idaho and Montana, people can now shoot wolves that pursue their livestock. Before, the rancher would have been forced to wait until a wolf had actually bitten one of his cows. That change marked a first step in returning control of wolf populations to states and private landowners, who say they need it to limit depredation of livestock, domestic animals and wild game herds as wolf numbers steadily rise. Federal officials have already determined the rancher acted appropriately. Wolf advocacy groups are reserving judgment pending an investigation. "Under the new rule, the rancher was authorized to shoot the wolf," said Mark Collinge, director of the federal Wildlife Services Idaho office, which monitors predators preying on livestock in the state. He said it was the first under the new rule. This is the third wolf killed legally in Idaho this year. Officers from Collinge's agency killed two in February after reports they'd preyed on cattle -- killings that also would have been allowed under the old rules. In 2004, Wildlife Services agents killed 17 wolves in Idaho, the most in any year since they were reintroduced to the region in 1995. Meanwhile, wolf numbers in Idaho are expected to surpass 450 this year. The state's remote wilderness areas have made for ideal breeding grounds. In Sunday's incident, officials declined to give the rancher's name or exact location, fearing it could cause retribution on an issue that has polarized wolf advocates and critics. Wildlife Services officials were on the scene Monday. The dead wolf may have been a part of the nine-member Copper Basin pack, or may have split off from that group. Authorities plan to investigate the animal's stomach to learn of recent meals. It'll also be examined for signs of breeding. Federal officials described the events that preceded the shooting, saying the rancher called them Thursday to report that wolves caused his herd of cattle to stampede. One calf was trampled to death, he told them. The rancher wanted to know his rights under the new rule, which brings Idaho and Montana closer to the level of management they will enjoy when wolves are delisted under the Endangered Species Act. The federal government is waiting until a legal dispute is resolved in neighboring Wyoming before the wolf is delisted. When the wolves returned to the property Sunday, officials say the rancher was ready. "It appears the system has worked correctly and as we hoped it would," said Carter Niemeyer, the wolf recovery coordinator for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Boise. It is great a rancher can now protect his cattle from wolves. I guess the guy who called the wardens to come and trap the wolve, only to see them release it, wasn't aware of the law or afraid to try it out.
  18. Maybe just a hunch on their part or they post on Greasespot.
  19. EXACTLY!! If a pack of dogs kills a rancher's cattle they destroy them. But if a wolf decides to grab an easy meal they do nothing.
  20. This reintroduction of the wolf in Montana has got its apponents quiet upset. If a wolf kills a ranchers live stock there is nothing they can do about the situation. Wolf Released After Being Trapped AVON — Last weekend, Tim Quigley found a calf that had been attacked by a wolf in his pasture, less than a half-mile from his house. When the calf died a few days later, it was the second confirmed wolf kill in 10 days; neighboring rancher Earl Stucky had a calf killed in a pasture less than a quarter mile from his home last week. State and federal officials approved setting a trap. On Tuesday morning, it held a wolf. A few hours later, Quigley watched in disbelief as the trap was opened and the wolf was set free. "That's pretty damn frustrating for the ranchers," Quigley said. "The wolves come in, get my calf, we catch it and they turn it loose. Watching it lope across my meadow, knowing it's going to be back among my cattle — I'm kind of a quiet guy, but this really gets me going."
  21. As equipment improves a person can jump higher, throw further, run faster, and hit harder. This is allowed when breaking records. I believe the same should be true of what is put in the body. To my knowledge there were no rules against taking steroids at the time. What if they were not harmful and had no side effects, would it be okay to use them then?
  22. We could name this tread: Rife Lines Opines Greased Vines Healing Times VeePee's Beehind
  23. P-Mosh has provided us with a rare but very honest inside look at a liberal. Oh yes, very sweet on the outside; help this person, take money from the rich sob's to pay for the poor people, so sweet and sugar coated. But when the chips are down their true nature comes out. ALWAYS looking out for themselves. Take Rosie O'Donnell as an example. She takes Tom Selleck a part on her talk show because he supports the NRA and the right of individals to own firearms for self protection. She claims she wants all guns removed from society. BUT when it comes time to hire a body guard for her children she gets one who carries a weapon. After all her kids are special I guess and deserve to be protected with a gun. I wouldn't trust a liberal as far as I can throw them. So sweet and sticky on the outside but no gooey caramel center on the inside.
  24. In additional to the list on the link our local Civil Defense has been teaming up with the Mormon Church here in an effort to teach people how to survive for a period of time like this. Anyone could drop in at the church and get pointers on how to be prepared for a stretch of time without food or water. The Mormons really have this down as they are requird to store food and water to last a year. The local church made it available for anyone to purchase kits they had assembled. The Mormons were very helpful and eager to share their experiences. One thing that was stressed is you have to be practical about your abilities and likes. If you are not a baker don't store large amounts of grain to make breads and cereals. If you like meat there are freezers that operate both with electricity and gas in case one or the other is out. Foods like the militaries MRE's are available. Store large quantites of water in used pop containers. Everytime I go to the grocery store I buy extra canned goods for an emergency. My supply is getting quite large now so I could survive for sometime.
