Some of the worst advise I ever got was in TWI and thier so-called leaders and some of the best from others in TWI and some good advise from outsiders. I think its the person giving the advise too. One thing I didn't do was to sell my house that advise came from an "unbeleiver". Another bit of advise I wish I'd never listened to was to go in the way corpse. I had my last one a son at age 40 he's 18 now and I would give anything to have another one? BTW he was a joy to raise and still is. I have by-polar desease and was taking meds to controll it and when leadership found out I was told not advised to get off the meds and let God heal me. That almost killed me and ultimatly ruined my health. I was also told to stop taking my dilantin for a sezure disorder. Like an *** I did as I was told and started having grand mal seizures. The first one was on the top of bleachers at a little league game, only the quik thinking of the man next to me kept me from falling all the way down. I went back on my meds without telling anyone and the seizures and manic attacks stopped and they had the nerve to tell me it was thier prayers and beleiving that helped me. HELPED ME? THEY ALMOST KILLED ME WITH THIER "i KNOW EVERYTHING " attitude. Even there so called councelling screwed me up more than I was. They had no training in councelling a dog nevermind a human. I beleive in Gods healing and have had his healing many times, but God also gave us Doctors. oN A LIGHTER NOTE I remember when my brother broke his ankle and our limb leader ministered to him and wanted to take the cast off his leg my brother replyed get God to straigten your teeth first then I'll take the cast off. lol the leaders teeth are still crooked but my brothers ankle healed with the cast on. lol Dovey....proud owner of two low riders...Dovey's Doxies...... Hi Wonder, Glad you got out. Please check your private topics, my hubby wrote a letter to you in there. Believe us there are ministries and churches out there that can meet your needs. Even when I was in twi I knew in my heart that there was a lot of bull being taught but I loved the feeling of belonging to a group of people that loved me (ya right). When we left so did the love of those who were supposed to be our friends. At first I felt like someone dear to me died, I was in so much pain I couldn't even get out of bed. I was so depressed I wanted to die, but then I found others who left that I knew but wasn't allowed to talk to and they were the ones that came to us and loved us. The ones that twi threw away were our real friends. Then I found Waydale and GS cafe. and I thought I died and went to heaven. I love these people in here, probably more than they will ever know. They lifted me up when I was down, they cryed with me and laughed with me and I started to live again and evan found someone to fellowship with. Hubby will tell you about thaT IN YOUR PRIVATE TOPICS. Dot, One year we had a wow family and one of them was from Norristown....Carol something, real sweet kid, lots of fun to be with too, but the branch coor. ruined it for thier family and they all left but one. wish I knew how Carol is doing these days God it was more than 20 years ago. jonaim....My hubby is fellowshipping with CRF too. But long distance ...we live in California. From what I've heard on his tapes he is a very loving man and has never asked us for money. J.H. has sent us his classes at his own expence and from what I heard he foot the bill for most of the advanced class. Not everything VPW taught was wrong and J.H. and Craig C. seem to be weeding out the bad and teaching the good. I can't honestly say that I myself am fellowshipping with CRF, but I have taken 2 of his classes. There are no fellowships of his in our area and my hubby wants to start one and asked me to be his assistant, I said no, but my older son would do it. I'm still scared of "joining" anything. but if he does this he has left it up to me whether I want to go or not. I do have to confess that I have been listening to his tapes in private ssshhhh don't tell on me. And I am impressed with him. Hubby is a long time friend of Craig C dating way back to Whittier Ca. Just.....I think a little of each, plus I was a bit headstrong, and questioned everything they said, which got hubby in trouble, cuz he's supposed to make me shut up (ya right). They were trying to get him to leave me toward the last because I was getting bolder with leaders. Example....When told to sell my house by R.S. our region coord.
