Rod Steiger needed a bigger boat. F. Murray Abraham hated Mozart and Picard. Jason Robards almost caught bank robber Bill Murray. John Bernthal is the wild card here: he's the Punisher on Netflix and was a major character seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead. I'm trying to remember other roles he played. I'm guessing something Nixonian in that recent Tom Hanks movie. My first WAG: Ben Bradlee.

Impressed as hell with Arrow's episodes this season (8.1 and 8.2). The reveal at the end of episode 2 was mind-blowing, and I truly wish I had done my homework earlier because we all coulda and shoulda seen that coming. Talk about hiding a significant (if not major) character in plain sight!!!

This is really close. You have the wrong decade and the wrong quartet from the wrong country, but the title is very close.

The mob put a hit on the producer of this show, well known for a comedic acting role, but his life was spared when he never showed up where he was expected. The order was later rescinded when they realized it would have caused more trouble than it was worth. Except for actual historical figures, none of the bad guys are Italian. The main character is portrayed as an FBI agent, though he is based on a real person who worked for a different agency. A fellow agent on the show was Italian, because the producers really wanted people to know the show was not anti-Italian, so they made one of the good guys Italian. The actor who played him was of Greek heritage.

Also known as a backdoor pilot. In this case, I'm going to take a wild guess based solely on the timing and genre and go with Vega$

The main character's original outfit was brown, grey and white. In early episodes, the lead actor wore glasses with no lenses in them. As the series progressed, he really needed the glasses, so he wore his own on the set. Sometimes a reflection of the stage lights could be seen in his glasses. The female lead was recast after the first season. She and her replacement were equally well known for the role for decades afterward. "I Love Lucy" apparently takes place in the same fictional universe as this series.

Depending on whether you heard the original or the more recently adapted version, the genders may be flipped. The title does not change though.

Correct. It was an actual plotted sequel to an actual plotted movie with real characters (not real good or well developed characters, but they had names and histories and everything) and a "let's put on a show" kind of plot.

Since there's just no question I'm right, let's change genres and gimmicks... This sequel was so unnecessary, it's subtitle became a nickname for all unnecessary sequels. In an homage to Fred Astaire, one of the dancers in this movie climbs on a wall, dances on a ceiling and comes down the other wall before returning to the floor. This is accomplished with a rotating room borrowed from one of the Nightmare on Elm Street sets. Freddy Krueger's glove can be spotted if you watch closely enough, but then you would have to watch the movie. Roger Ebert gave this a thumbs up, saying it reminded him of the Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland "let's put on a show" flicks. It's not that good.

It's like, "I'll take 3-D movies of the 1980s" for $1,000, Alex.

I take exception to this. Those of us who believe there's nothing after this life have EVERY reason to live. What we lack is a reason to DIE. By which I mean, we can understand the value of sacrifice as well as the next patriot (there ARE, in fact, atheists in foxholes), but we understand that sacrifice as being for other people, not for reward.

Wrong answer, George! In Friday the 13th, the killer was Mrs. Vorhees, Jason's mother. Jason didn't show up as an adult until the sequel. He showed up still a child in the final scene of the original. In Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th Part Ii, he's just an evil killer. In part iii (which was in 3-d, hence the significance of the yo-yo, juggling and paddleball on a string), Jason puts on the hockey mask for the first time. His name is not mentioned in Part III by anyone. This movie was a loose inspiration for Weird Al's "Nature Trail to Hell" song, which contained the lyric (and album title) In 3-D! The original series went until Jason X (the 10th installment), unless you include Freddy v. Jason, and there was a remake about which I know Jack

Two movies preceded this one. How many followed... depends on how you count. With the same continuity, at least seven. Maybe eight. Then there was the remake. But now we're just getting silly.
