  1. Was Brie Larson in it? Or would that be like having Benedict Cumberbatch show up in a Robert Downey SHerlock Holmes movie?
  2. We can call it... wait for it... The ExWay Tree!
  3. It is Dogma. Specifically the scene where they yell at Bethany, saying "Guys like us don't just fall out of the sky, you know!" At which point a naked Chris Rock falls out of the sky. At which point [frame] Jay yells "Beautiful naked big boobed women don't just fall out of the sky, you know!" Might have been phrased differently.
  4. And since I am 100 percent confident I am right...

    R.I.P. Sudo

This thread was started yesterday by Suda. I missed it and apologize for doing so.

    R.I.P. Sudo

It has come to my attention that the Greasespot Poster known as Sudo has passed away. I have not independently verified this but it comes from a source I would trust to announce my own passing. Sudo was a Waydale/Greasespot original, a passionate defender of logic, reason and common sense. He had a delightful sense of humor and not an ounce of bigotry in his body. He loved believers, though he was not one of them. He did not have a hateful bone in his body. Rather, he was someone who sought to help people in their journey, whether that journey was out of the Way or out of religion altogether. I cannot express how much I will miss him. Condolences to his friends and family.

  8. The link above will go live at noon eastern today for one hour. Hope to see you there!
  9. Sure. It's Rusty Griswold. By the way, it's not a remake. Helms played Rusty as an adult taking HIS family on a Vacation.
  10. But it is not. You left out Travis Greer [which is totally understandable given the circumstances] and Ed Helms [which is not. Seriously, how could you?].
  11. And Kick the Can was the episode we all seem to have forgotten.
  12. By the way, that's Mos Def as Ford Prefect in the background. "Most Definitely" was a clue to his ID.
  13. It's a scene that's not in the book. We learn that on the Vogon homeworld, every time someone has an original thought, a "spatula" of sorts comes up out of the ground and smacks them in the face. So if a character said "I think..." WHACK!!!! Great scene. Underrated movie. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
  14. I'm just gonna wait for WW to save you on this one. The TOWEL, man! Kung Pow... what were you thinking (OW!)
  15. Nothing is cropped out. Especially not the towel around the neck of the guy in the background. It's not mentioned in the movie, but the guy wearing the weird helmet is a particularly good skiboxer. You guys have Most Definitely GOT to see this movie. I think (OW!) it's way underrated.
  16. Really? I would think (OW!) all the game regulars have seen it.
  17. Two different movies. The first is for WordWolf because he was looking for it earlier. The other is a new one and that's the official pic for this round
  18. I'm gonna say no on the boobs from The Man With Two Brains.
  19. Oh, I see you were discussing research books, not Bible versions. Again, I am sure there are enough different lexicons that you don't have to worry about crossing lines. When all else fails, fall on Bullinger because first, it's very good, though not perfect, and second, I'm pretty sure it's pre-1923, but don't quote me on that. Or I'll sue. Just kidding.
  20. There's something called "fair use" that allows you to quote from published works without permission, provided that you don't publish too much of it. I am sure for your purposes you will be fine. It's also a wise practice to quote from multiple versions of the Bible so you do not run into the possibility of crossing the "you-should-have-asked-for-permission" line on copyrighted work. I am not sure how much you can quote before you need to ask for permission, but it's a significant amount. Sure, quote the KJV, but there are so many versions that you can quote each of them once and probably not run out of versions before you finish whatever it is you're writing. [Slight exaggeration, but I see there are more than 400 English translations of the Bible. You're not going to violate anyone's copyright by spreading the love]. Good luck on your project.
  21. The current projection is on the western fringe of the projection as it stood a week ago.
  22. I suspect George's posts are dynamic (they update when the site updates). I've been doing static so we can compare the predicted track with the actual, but I must admit my attention was elsewhere throughout Eta (which dropped a lake on our area of South Florida). Anyway, here's the static for Tuesday morning.
