  1. [BONUS: I forgot that two actresses actually won an Oscar for playing the same role. This was a bit more recent and it slipped my mind. One movie was a remake of the other. If you know where they like to be, then you know the movie and possibly the role and one actress. Kudos if you know both. I don't recall the more recent winner]
  2. So far so good. For Q. 3, our categories are Best Actress and Best Supporting actress, with the latter referring to the former in the movie as a "dish." The movie won best picture. The director was crowned best director. The lead actor won Best Actor... 20 someodd years later for a different movie. He was snubbed for this one. There was a best original song oscar too.
  3. Only one person in each of the answers is still alive. One of them [question 2] died before his movie was released. Guaranteed you know the names and roles of everyone in Q1 and Q2. If you guess one right, I'll give more clues to the others.
  4. Q. 1: The awards were given in the 1970s Q. 2: The awards were given in the 21st Century Q. 3: The nominations were in the 1990s
  5. Funny moment in a movie with dangerously few.
  6. "Do you guys remember a couple of years ago when that guy was lighting homeless people on fire in the subways?" "Jesus, Hud! Maybe not the best time for this conversation down here!" "Right. [awkward silent pause]. I just can't stop thinking how scary it'd be if a flaming homeless guy came running... "HUD!" "I'm just saying. Sorry."
  7. Three-part question, and you gotta get all three (otherwise, what's the fun?) 1. Only twice in Oscars history have two actors won for playing the same character. The first time, it was the same character in the same movie series. Name the actors and the role. 2. The second time, it was the same character in different interpretations (one actor's version of the character had no bearing on the other's). Name the actors and the role. 3. There was one instance in which two actresses were nominated for playing the same character in the same movie. Neither actress won, but the movie did very well that night. Name the actresses and EITHER the role or the movie.
  8. Marisa Tomei who went on to win an Oscar. Yup, that was her. It was supposed to be Meg Ryan, but that was before the premise changed to a spinoff.
  9. On February 22, 1997, the remix of Don't Cry For Me Argentina was number one on the dance charts. It went something like this:
  10. I thought we had a gentlemen's agreement that some level of looking it up was acceptable after three days, and it has been three days in the sense of 72 hours after the first clue was posted. I cheated way before George did, so you're not gonna hear back from me.
  11. The original premise was a white woman in an all black setting. When the planning switched to a spinoff, the white girl became a subplot. The name of the series makes a lot more sense with the original premise, and very little sense once the subplot and spinoff angles were jettisoned.
  12. Dynasty debuted in 1981, so Linda EVANS was not a match. That's why I went with Gray.
  13. Charlene Tilton and Heather Locklear are too young. Linda Evans... doesn't match 1978. And it wasn't Joan Collins. So that rules out Dynasty. So Dallas. Victoria Principal ... too young to be an older woman's leg Basedon hints I'm gonna go with Linda Gray from Dallas
  14. You were supposed to have been provelone That's all they wanted Not mozzarella...
  15. I'd be particularly surprised if WW didn't get it.
  16. Phil Collins. Next up [and this did get mucho airplay in its day: "You won't believe me. All you will see is the girl you once knew. Although she's dressed up to the nines At sixes and sevens with you."
  17. Your third clue is incorrect. The TV role came second. That is, if the line that offended his mom had anything to do with showing the other guy's wife what it's like to be with a real man.
  18. 90 feet narrows it diwn to baseball movies. Gonna go with Major League
  19. It is not Starship Troopers. "What is best in life?"
