As my clue suggested, you can actually get to the whole movie just with the third photo, but the first two help. Can't get Lysistrata without the first two pics, and that's assuming anyone's called Bush a sissy... so I'd argue no on that one on two fronts. First pic: Name something you want to know about a lightbulb. Second pic: What is he saying? (have to hate Bush to get it). Third pic kind of speaks for itself...

Wow. That's an interesting change: the forecast models are no longer predicting a loop. Instead, the storm just hangs out in the Atlantic for a couple of days and then heads to South Carolina. South Florida's not even in the 5 day cone anymore. And the cones are starting to take a cone shape! I still say it's going to loop around and come right at me.

Hmm... maybe this'll come in handy in Goey and Oldies' dialogue... What does phobos mean? Why would God use it to describe how He wants us to approach Him?

The Rapture and the Return are far from synonymous. Christians who do not believe in a Rapture the way we do still speak of the Return of Christ. And they did so LONG before ATDAN was written.

You didn't fear your dad? I feared mine. Not the way I fear getting devoured alive by a zombie, but still... What's wrong with fearing your father? That is, realizing and recognizing that he's your dad and you answer to him? I feared my dad, and in fact, I still do. I'm not terrified of him, but I fear him. I don't see what the big deal is (although I admit, it's probably different reactions to the word "fear": it conjures an emotion in your brain, and if the emotion it conjures for you is different from the emotion it conjures for me, we're going to have a different reaction to the word).

I'm going to confess, I'm numb to it. My brain can't process it, except academically. It's too much. Someday soon it will crash in on me all at once, but it hasn't happened yet.

Yup. It's my fault. If I started doing some Pacific cones, they'd start getting hammered. Unfortunately, my interest is strictly on the Atlantic season. So, we're up to O already. It weakened to a tropical storm, but will probably strengthen again. You'll notice that the cone is a circle again: it's not because of doubt now, but because of the strange course this one is projected to take. Notice how it loops and appears to be headed toward South Carolina or Georgia. Being in the cone just means "don't count yourself out."

The newspaper has a bunker-type shelter in Deerfield Beach. I don't know what I'd do in a New Orleans-type situation.

You'll also notice, likeaeagle, that Fort Lauderdale IS in the 5 day cone (the larger circle, not the white one). And a circle, again, means forecasters are absurdly unsure of where this is headed.

Fascinating: The words "Living Epistles Society" turn out to be 1% evil, 99% good. But if I add the word "The," it becomes 50/50. So, that proves it once and for all: THE is evil!

Officially, Fort Lauderdale is not worried. Unofficially, the current track takes the storm away from Florida, then backing up and hitting either North or Central Florida. If either happens, the effects here will be minimal. In any event, we have nothing to worry about down here until at the earliest, NEXT Friday or Saturday.

It's headed for Europe!
