    The Cone of Wilma

So, there's a chance (a chance, mind you) that all these models will look very different once this thing hits the Yucatan.
  2. Yes. They went back on their word. I blame them.
  3. Let's see: I had Beau. I still have Tarzana (named by her former owner because the cat used to snag her nails on the curtain and swing back and forth). Then I got a cat I named Moses, after the cat in the song by Joshua Kadison. Moses didn't last long: died very quickly, so I replaced him with... Joshua! Because Joshua comes after Moses. I have one more. As you may have guessed, his name is Judge.
  4. Point taken. So, instead of relying on what you claimed to have "studied" biblically, I'll do my own research, as Mark did in finding you were wrong.
  5. Everyone knows Strong's Concordance was put together for the specific intent of discrediting VPW. Strong should have done his own research instead of listening to some anti-VPWites.
  6. He was running those things into the ground! Goodness, you're the kind of guy who'd give E.J. Smith his props for making it 2/3 of the way from Southampton to NYC.
  7. Why would anyone who stayed gossip about Craig worship? Hell- LOOO!!!! As for the little Wierwille idol... QUACK! Hey, buddy, it's a duck! We were told to our faces that if LCM was not the right man to run TWI, then GOD IS STUPID. Those were our choices. A: LCM is the right one for the job. B: God is stupid. No other choices given. You don't find that a tad bit, oh, I don't know, worshipful? Why do I choose the word worshipful? Because their very respect for Almighty God was inextricably intertwined with their respect for LCM. Eliminate the second, and the first evaporates. That's worship right there, buddy. Oh, and lest you think this was the minority opinion of some wacko, the person who told this to us, to our faces, is now vice president of TWI.
  8. Thanks for the extra info, WTH. Worth looking up. Too bad you had to ruin it at the end, but for the record, hearing you tell WordWolf do his own research is a lot like hearing a hooker tell a nun to have a little self-respect.
  9. My bad. Shame, though. You'd have been right to say it.
  10. Profit followed? Are you stoned?
  11. I can't believe the simplicity of this has to be stated again: To evaluate this letter without understanding what preceded and what followed is to celebrate ignorance. It's stupid. The best that can be said for that approach is that it could lead a reader to say, "Oh, so THAT's why I was deceived." This letter IS deception, and LCM's actions that followed prove it.
  12. Now I can agree with Oldiesman. Taken by itself, I can see how someone would defend the letter. But in light of LIGHT, it is... what were your words again? Ah, yes... a hypocritical load of crap. Aw Jeez, but then you have to go and contradict yourself, Oldies! "I validate the letter on its own..." Let's use the "things equal to the same thing are equal to each other" argument and apply it to what you just said. "I validate the hypocritical load of crap on its own..." Why the devil would you want to do that? Either the letter was a hypocritical load of crap or it wasn't. Some folks were returning, even those who had left in 1989? BIG WHOOP! Tons of folks were LEAVING, too! I can't answer to whether there was legalism going on or not, because I left that wasteland before you did. I can tell you that the Craig worship that was going on (this is God's man, and if he's the wrong guy for the job then God is stupid because God chose him) was so thick you needed mining gear to reach the surface.
  13. I am trying so hard not to laugh at that one. I am failing.
  14. Wow. I need to look that up, Wolf, but on first read it's interesting. Of course, you know that Paul got it wrong and God needed to wait 2,000 years for VPW to come along and fix Paul's mistake.
  15. Hey, just to clarify... I'm only asking about the LES message board (forum), NOT the main site. I have no questions on the main site.
  16. The cost is pretty low, and the only "work" that goes into it is weeding out the occasional spammer. Thanks for the feedback.

George, It may delay your trip home, but yes, right now the wedding looks like a safe bet.

  19. Goodbyyyyyyyye Earl Dixie Chicks Next.... "Well I love her But I love to fish I spend all day out on this lake And hell is all I catch Today she met me at the door Said I would have to choose If I hit that fishin' hole today She'd be packin' all her things And she'd be gone by noon..."
  20. Well, looks like Stars and Stripes Forever was a movie. It was a biopic of Ritchie Valens. Tarzan stripes fore! river. I think I got this one. If so, I'll come up with a new clue later.
  21. I think the fact that LCM did exactly what those of us who left said he would do is evidence of the true nature and value of the letter. Oldiesman can only agree with the letter if he deliberately ignores everything that followed. I can understand how someone would, in the Spring of 1989, see that letter and agree with Oldiesman's arguments. They make perfect sense in that light. But to tell us that we cannot consider what happened next in determining the value of the letter is foolhardy, ignorant, down-right DUMB. Martindale's actions following the issuance of that letter validated his critics. This was no stand on God's Word. It was a proclamation of tyrranical authority, evidenced by the fact that he followed the letter by ruling like a tyrant.
  22. Is "Stars and Stripes Forever" a movie?
