ok, so it's a Black guy who's mostly a background actor before breaking through as someone we would know. Someone like Samuel Jackson or Giancarlo Esposito would blend right into Do the Right Thing and Mo Better Blues. I don't recall ANY Black faces in Goodfellas, but there easily could have been. Either of those guys would have been trying to break into the biz back then. Loaded Weapon... I can see the poster in my head and I'm pretty sure Jackson is on it. Could also be a number of white guys, but none famous enough stamd out now. Danny Aiello was not in Goodfellas. Samuel L. Jackson. Final answer.

The theme music inspired a 13-year old to play bass. He grew up to be the bassist for Metallica. One of the characters was notorious for making coffee that the other characters found disgusting. When the actor who played that character died, there was a special episode in which everyone broke character and reminisced about the actor. At the end of the episode, the remaining cast members lifted their coffee mugs in tribute.

First, when there's nothing But a slow glowing dream That your fear seems to hide Deep inside your mind All alone, I have cried Silent tears full of pride In a world made of steel Made of stone Well, I hear the music Close my eyes, feel the rhythm Wrap around, take a hold of my heart

One of the actors in the early years of this comedy series was about 54 years old when it started. You would have sworn he was older, if not actually dead. This is one of those shows that had a revolving door of guest actors and actresses, many of whom played different characters. At least two became series regulars [again, not playing the characters they played earlier as guests]. Many of the guest actors and actresses later appeared on Night Court, which debuted on another network three years after this series ended. One of the writers (50 episodes) was Reinhold Weege, who later started a production company called "Starry Night Productions," which went on to produce... Night Court. The name Starry Night came from an episode of this series (it was the phony name of a phony porn company one of the characters came up with as a cover story). One of the characters in the early seasons occasionally broke into his native Spanish. What he said in Spanish was never scripted.

I don't think a spoiler alert is necessary after more than a decade, but whatever, spoiler alert. Rule number one of turning a TV show into a movie: honor the TV show. Rule number one of this movie adaptation of a popular series: screw the source material. Let's make the hero the bad guy! This movie has had five sequels, not counting the two currently in the works. This won't help you: it's the LAST movie to get a home video Betamax release. (It's not as old as you might think, based on that clue). The original plan was to bring back the entire original cast of the TV series and kill them off in the first act. They settled for making the main character of the seried the Big Bad. There's a significant, uncredited cameo by a fairly well-known actor (EE) in the first act of the movie. He did it to return a favor to the lead actor in this movie, who appeared in a significant, uncredited role in an earlier movie starring EE.
