  1. Questioning faith is a subforum in which people are permitted to discuss religious matters without the presumption that they believe the Bible to be true. It literally has nothing to do with The Way unless the person posting wants it to. We also have a section on jokes, tv shows, recipes... I don't see why you are having trouble following this. Once again, I would like to encourage you to log off GSC and visit any other site in the world, as that would be the equivalent of deleting your account, which you requested. If you would like to continue to participate in this forum, feel free. Please stay on topic and try to demonstrate some level of reading comprehension, as explaining basic English to you is getting rather tedious.
  2. Ah. Dennis Franz Die Hard 2 Bonnie Bedelia
  3. Mike wrote: Here is one example of this evolving road down here at GSC: the recent belief that the Bible does not interpret itself that has grown up here in some in fairly recent years. This is a very equivalent to the belief that the Bible is of un-coordinated origins, and lacking authority in lives today. It's not the work of an accurate God, nor an authoritative God who is powerfully in charge. It follows that the Bible is not the revealed Word and will of God in this thinking path. My reply: Yes, it's out of context, but I want it noted that I finally agree with Mike on something. The funny thing to me is, the REASON you keep having to fight off this pattern of thinking is really simple: The evidence leads to this conclusion. And if you're really following the evidence, you will keep ending up on the same road. "The Bible does not interpret itself" is not a presupposition. It is the conclusion you reach after realizing your presupposition is mistaken.

  5. in my most vivid imagination i cannot recall the title, which makes me irritated and kind of sad
  6. Name the actor who played Marty Kaan Miles Davis Basher Tarr
  7. I was dreaming when I wrote this; forgive me if it goes astray.
  8. George, you're confused because he said I was right but then, explaining it, said you were right. So you were right. He didn't recognize the lyrics. In any event, let's end this: "Can't Get Enough of You Baby" The version I remember is by Smashmouth
  9. Keep it up. TWI love the work you're doing on their behalf.
  10. If I were to hire a spokesman for TWI's attitude toward GSC, it would be Bolshevik.
  11. I think HwoB is talking about the content, not the difficulty.
  12. Bolshevik, You have been trying for months to get thrown off this site. Might I suggest a different approach? Stop logging in, maybe?
  13. By Air Supply. YouTube Bonnie Tyler's cover. It's nice
  14. Sommersby, based on the story of Martin Guerre. The subtle clue was that it really was Richard Gere who rescued the livestock in person. He plays an imposter in the movie. Great film if you are looking or something different to watch. And yes, that was Jodie Foster
  15. Trivia: This song reminds you of Meat Loaf because it was written by Jim Steinman, who has a distinct style. Steinman wrote, if I'm not mistaken, all the songs on Bat Out of Hell I, II and III (Yes, there was a III). Among his non-Meat Loaf hits are It's All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion, Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler, Read Em and Weep by Barry Manilow... and this one.
  16. Variant lyrics: not sure which is correct. Sounds exactly the same though so doesn't matter: This is EVERY LYRIC EXCEPT THE TITLE I know just how to whisper and I know just how to cry I know just where to find the answers and I know just how to lie I know just how to fake it and I know just how to scheme I know just when to face the truth and then I know just when to dream And I know just where to touch you, and I know just what to prove I know when to pull you closer, and I know when to let you loose And I know the night is fading. And I know that time's gonna fly. And I'm never gonna tell you all the things I gotta tell you but I know I gotta give it a try. And I know the road to riches, and I know the ways to fame. I know all the rules and then I know how to break them and I always know the name of the game. But I don't know how to leave you and I'll never let you fall And I don't know how you do it TITLE. Every time I see you, all the rays of the sun are streaming through the waves in your hair And every star in the sky is taking aim at your eyes like a spotlight The beating of my heart is a drum and it's lost and it's looking for a rhythm like you You can take the darkness from the pit of the night And turn it to a beacon burning endlessly bright I've gotta follow it 'cause everything I know Well, it's nothing 'til I give it to you I can make the runner stumble I can make the final block And I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle I can make all the stadiums rock And I can make tonight forever Or I can make it disappear by the dawn And I can make you every promise that has ever been made And I can make all your demons be gone But I'm never gonna make it without you Do you really wanna see me crawl? And I'm never gonna make it like you do
  17. Hey, joking aside, I think I (modcat5) and my most frequent collaborator, modgellan, try our best, and we all know how this has been Pawtucket's labor of love, but if you want to thank an unsung hero of this place, it's... GREASYTECH. This is the guy WE turn to when YOU complain to US about the technical shortcomings of the site. Modgellan and I do our best to enforce rules. I do my best to engage without being an a-hole. Paw pays the bills and keeps the coffee machines plugged in. But GREASYTECH is the person who you would miss the most if he suddenly decided he had better things to do. TO GREASYTECH! Salud!
