The rant was against Puerto Ricans, and as he was ranting, one by one the jurors (all white men) stood up and turned their backs on him. I was so impressed that such a message was sent so powerfully in 1957 that I actually cried watching it (for the first time last weekend).

I didn't get the sense at all that they thought the Mormons patterned themselves after TWI. They just said it was similar, and attributed to both modeling it after the first century church (whether that's accurate or not is a whole other story).

This thread strikes me as less an attempt to have people honestly come clean and more an attempt to gather info to nitpick on others who rightly hold LCM and VPW accountable for the harm they deliberately did to the body of Christ. I'm still dumbstruck that the best personal sin you could come up with for yourself is taking more time than allotted for a teaching/sharing.
