  1. MRAP, Could you point to any posts that do not address the topic of the thread?
  2. Since shedding my belief in God, I find that I am more troubled by acts of violence in general, especially when innocent children are the victims. And my heart absolutely breaks when thinking of natural disasters.
  3. Isn't he the guy you get when you can't afford Willem Dafoe?
  4. I don't wish to be rude, but when you start a thread about science and Genesis, you kind of unhinged the door and threw it away.
  5. Yeah. That's why the final episode was one of its most watched. But ok. Yes, the mother was not seen until the last moments of the last episode of season 8. The scenes with the daughter had all been filmed 7-8 years earlier. By the time the mother was cast, the daughter was nearly the same age as the actress playing the mother.
  6. I think God passed gas to start the universe. How does science account for that assumption? It's a nonsense question.
  7. MRAP, This thread has not gone off topic. Please stop saying it has.
  8. The title of the show refers to an incident audiences do not witness until the last episode of the series.
  9. Of course. But Egypt existed independently of the false narrative contained in Genesis and especially Exodus. In Genesis, camels exist. In fact, they were domesticated in Genesis, which is a really neat trick because in real life, camels weren't domesticated in that region until centuries after the events asserted. If I wrote a novel in which Abraham Lincoln watched CNN, it would not be considered a documentary just because CNN exists. Nor does science have to account for the assumptions in Genesis just because Egypt and camels exist.
  10. You're asking about science. In that vein, nothing you're talking about has a shred of evidence to support it. Science need not account for it because there is no "it" to account for.
  11. The word is "legendary," interrupted by the words "wait for it." It's going to be legen.... wait for it... Next season: DARY!
  12. Science can ignore any hypothesis for which there is no testable evidence. Genesis as science has not been ignored. It's been utterly refuted and discredited.
  13. I'm surprised no one reported that post up there. Your prerogative. But come on people!
  14. One of the title characters is only two years older than the actress who played her daughter, which only makes sense if you bear in mind the filming schedule for the younger actress. In an unusual cliffhanger, seasons 2 and 3 are separated within a single word uttered by a starring (not title) character. He starts saying the word at the end of season 2 and finishes it at the beginning of season 3.
  15. Once again impressed with Flash, and Supergirl continues to grow on me. They've done a really good job of making it so that Supergirl is grounded in its own reality. And it's genuinely fun (something Man of Steel was not).
  16. You may be right, TLC. I'm not reading all the posts because frankly I think the whole thread is nonsense.
  17. Chill. No mental health insults. Rules is rules.
  18. Honestly, I can't make heads or tails of what this thread is supposed to be about. The only clear thing is that we're in doctrinal territory, but that's being extremely generous. "The" had more substance than this.
  19. "When it rains, it's like there's a rooftop on the world. Each raindrop makes a sound the first time it falls on a surface. Just then, it's like I... it's like I can see again. And I... I just wanna... I just wanna see you."
