I should have been more clear about this when I posted: We used to use "The Word" and "The Bible" interchangeably. Buzzard does not. My problem with just about every rendition of "O Holy Night" that I have heard is... no one wants to sing the song's actual lyrics. This one comes close, but for some reason, they keep fiddling with the last part of the chorus. If you want to see what I'm talking about, start the video and read along. These lyrics are beautiful and (used to) bring tears to my eyes. I still love the song, musically and lyrically speaking. But why go to all the trouble of singing all three stanzas if you're gonna mess with them like that? There is nothing wrong with them asking you questions. There is nothing wrong with you asking them, or with trying to keep the conversation focused on the Bible. There is something wrong with saying or implying that this forum is for believers. It's for anyone who wants to discuss doctrine. You raised an issue. They replied. THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS WRONG. The doctrinal forum is to discuss doctrine. It is NOT "for people that believe in Jesus Christ." It is for discussion of doctrine. In practice, we devised a "questioning faith" subforum to isolate threads that would otherwise turn the entire forum into one perceived as hostile to believers. But the "questioning faith" subforum does not give anyone the right to declare unbelievers unwelcome in the doctrinal forum. As long as the posters are discussing the doctrine that is the subject of the thread, anyone of any belief is welcome to post on any thread in any forum.

I've never understood TWI's passion for slandering Job. It's almost like they took glee in blaming him for his calamities. Of course, finding fault is one way for a narcissist to hold himself up as something better than what he's criticizing, and what better way for a cult leader to prop himself up than to point out the flaws in someone the Bible calls "blameless and upright."

I've not seen the conclusion, but I suspected CRISIS was coming when the Monitor showed up.

It's hard to tell who the lead character is in any given season other than the first. Yes, it's an ensemble. But more to the point, main characters tend to die with alarming regularity. [Sean Bean was the original lead actor. His character died before the end of the first season. His oldest son and his widow didn't make it past the third season. The evil Joffrey didn't make it past season 4]. Has won more prime time emmy awards than any other show. Including Frasier.

Inspector Gadget is the movie. Part II is the sequel, but I never asked for it.

The villain in this movie shows his face. Like, makes no effort to conceal it whatsoever. Very different from the source material. In the sequel (in when he's played by a different actor), the audience does not get to see his face at all. True to the source material. Based on an 80s cartoon.
