  1. Desperately Seeking Susan Madonna Dick Tracy
  2. No. Not a whole lot on screen. He did serve as executive producer of a show you never would associate him with: Grimm.
  3. JAG Pretty sure NCIS spun off of JAG.
  4. Kermit was kind of a narrator/supporting player. Robin was the star of this special. Ok, next... The producers of this show hired 200 people to take phone calls from complaining viewers after an episode that featured a lesbian wedding. They received 11 complaints. One actress on this series occasionally her character's twin sister on another series. The two series were originally unconnected, but the producers figured they had these two characters played by the same actress... what the hell, why not make them twin sisters? The ditziest character on the show is played by an actress considered the smartest by her castmates.
  5. Kermit helps a bewitched princess... Wait, did she talk backwards? And Kermit's nephew was like the Frog Prince, only he wasn't a prince but a knight, Sir Robin the Brave? THAT special where Kermit helped a bewitched princess?
  6. Incorrect. Jack McFarlane was a character on a show in the late 90s until 2006. The same character appears on the same show from 2017 to the present. He's been a regular character, played by the same actor, in every season of the show.
  7. Ok, so we had three live action series. There's a hint of a movie, if not during the first incarnation then almost certainly during the third. We also had two animated spinoffs about which we know nothing other than their existence. The third live series, though not popular with audiences, did well with critics. The original lasted five seasons. The other two live action series had different titles. Got it. I think. The Muppet Show was the first. The Muppets was the last. Not sure what the middle series was.
  8. Well, there were multiple Brady Bunch series, but too many to fit this description. Not to mention, the critical acclaim is a stretch for the Bradys. I have a hunch this was animated.
  9. He played (and these ARE the giveaways) Larry Fine Jerry Lewis Jack McFarland
  10. New clue: The director was not fond of this movie when he finished filming it and seriously considered editing it down to a television episode. What changed his mind? The addition of the musical score. The first American movie to show a toilet flushing on screen. The director bought the movie rights to the book anonymously, then bought up as many copies of the book as he could to keep the plot a secret. Inspired multiple sequels, a prequel and a TV series. Remade in 1998. Shot for shot. Leading many to wonder, why? It bombed.
  11. Ah. Well, I remember it vividly, despite having seen it only once, at its original airing.
  12. My first guess is Get Smart!, but I'm not quite sure that fits. Get Smart Again was just a TV movie to the best of my knowledge, and the third series was just called Get Smart (and was not critically acclaimed by a longshot).
  13. When you say you "thought it was awful," you're talking about the third series, right? Also, I'm assuming from your question that the shows did not all have the same name.
  14. I thought I was the only person not involved in the production who remembered it.
  15. I am surprised you remembered the 1979 version
  16. Surprised anyone remembered this. The Miracle Worker starred Patty Duke as Helen Keller and Anne Bancroft as Anne Sullivan in 1962. Remade in 1979 with Patty Duke as Anne Sullivan and Melissa Gilbert as Helen Keller. Patty Duke is well known for playing "identical cousins" in "The Patty Duke Show"
  17. Did the younger actress in the older version ever play the cousin of the older actress in the later version?
  18. Should be said: "Private interpretation," biblically, didn't even mean what VPW said it meant. It has nothing to do with the meaning of scripture.
  19. Because she wasn't. Wrong year of death and wrong... oh fine Doris DAY
