  1. You do realize WordWord, that I was using a pun? Well, off topic I think memory is one of the more useful tools we have in our brains. Memories are recorded by our brain and I think they are always there. However, I do think its up to us to sort out what memories we deem necessary and choose not to use those other memories we have in our brains. I don't think memories really go away. Then, when something that we don't remember comes up and we think about it, after a while we remember things. When it comes to music, I can remember lyrics pretty well. When I was growing up (the 60's) we didn't have much other than television, and when music (modern) hit the scene it became a part of everybody's everyday life. The radio, bowling alleys, skating rinks, records, ball games and on and on. Isn't the majority of what we are doing here then is using our memory?
  2. Nothing relatable yet. Something that is relatable though is I'm listening to Golden Slumbers and the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 part and "all good children go to heaven" just played. But that's not it.
  3. I don't think that this song is in my wheel house.
  4. I was cutting the rug Down at place called The Jug With a girl named Linda Lou When in walked a man With a gun in his hand And he was looking for you know who
  5. Well then, I will go ahead with another one. I thought Gen X people (whoever they are 41-55yr old) would pick up on this and obviously you have WordWolf heard of it but not everyone has the same taste as I do. I like ~The Killers~ despite them not really doing anything I like since the album "Day's of Age" and maybe now that they have a new album out just a few days ago (Pressure Machine) I hope that it will be worthwhile to listen to.
  6. Dream On "Top coat, top hat And I don't worry 'cause my wallet's fat"
  7. I bet either Raf or WordWolf know this one.
  8. I Wanna Hold Your Hand 'I rode my bicycle past your window last night'
  9. He doesn't look a thing like Jesus But he talks like a gentlemen Like you imagined when Can we climb this mountain? I don't know Higher now than ever before I know we can make it if we take it slow Let's take it easy Easy now, watch it go We're burning down the highway skyline On the back of a hurricane that started turning They say the devil's water, it ain't so sweet You don't have to drink right now But you can dip your feet Every once in a little while You sit there in your heartache Waiting on some beautiful boy to To save you from your old ways You play forgiveness Watch it now, here he comes
  10. They say the devil's water, it ain't so sweet You don't have to drink right now But you can dip your feet Every once in a little while You sit there in your heartache Waiting on some beautiful boy to To save you from your old ways You play forgiveness Watch it now, here he comes
  11. *Look it up. New one: They say the devil's water, it ain't so sweet You don't have to drink right now But you can dip your feet Every once in a little while
  12. The song with the same name as the album was released in 2002 and reached #22 on Billboards Top 200 list. Here's some more lines. The album reached # 9 so it was a hit. Well you can't turn him into a company man You can't turn him into a whore And the boys upstairs just don't understand anymore Well the top brass don't like him talking so much, And he won't play what they say to play And he don't want to change what don't need to change Well some folks say they're gonna hang him so high 'Cause you just can't do what he did There are some things you just can't put in the minds of those kids As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free Well he got him a station down in Mexico And sometimes it'll kind of come in And I'll bust a move and remember how it was back then
  13. Well, you can't turn him into a company man You can't turn him into a whore And the boys upstairs Just don't understand anymore Well some folks say they're gonna hang him so high 'Cause you just can't do what he did There are some things you just can't put in the minds of those kids As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free
  14. "Here we come, walking down the street." I did a search on this quote George, and you have used it six times all in this thread. In fairness, you haven't used it since 2013. The Monkees "Some sweat hog mama with a face like a gent Said my get up and go, must've got up and went"
  15. It would have much easier had you gone with Johnny Depp.
  16. It sounds like Elton John's 'Your Song' because it is. Next tune: Well, you can't turn him into a company man You can't turn him into a whore And the boys upstairs Just don't understand anymore
