  1. I've had it to here Bein' where love's a small word Part-time thing Paper ring I know it's been done Havin' one girl who'll loves you Right or wrong Weak or strong
  2. Let me take the round then. Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind" reached # 1 in Canada's singles chart in 1970. It reached # 5 in U.S. Billboard top 100 and reached #30 in U.S. singles. It reached # 1 in U.S. Easy Listening (billboard). I never expected for this not be guessed, but currently it is just a couple of us playing in this thread.
  3. I'm not going to wonder about you now George, at least now I think you know that you should know this, or anyone else for that matter. The thing is now I don't know how I can help you anymore with this one. The rest of the song is the title. How about I give you a clue about the author maybe that will help. He's Canadian, no not Neil Young. He's a folk song writer.
  4. What a tale your thoughts could tell Just like a paperback novel The kind the drugstore sells When you reach the part where the heartaches Come the hero would be me Heroes often fail And you won't read that book again Because the endings just to hard to take I'd walk away like a movie star Who gets burned in a three way script Enter number two, a movie queen To play the scene of bringing All the good things out in me I never thought I could act this way And I've got to say that I just don't get it I don't know where we went wrong But the feelings gone and I just can't get it back What a tale my thoughts could tell Just like an old time movie About a ghost from a wishing well In a castle dark or a fortress strong With chains upon my feet the story always ends
  5. Yeah, let me check. You're right WordWolf. Give me a few moments for a comeback. Thank you.
  6. That's it. It is by far, most widely known for being covered by Jimi Hendrix.
  7. Ebony and Ivory "There must be some kind of way out of here" Said a joker to the thief"
  8. 10. I do better with the songs that aren't so familiar when I give them a day and then come back to them. Today the voice in my head was much clearer and since I like to listen to Bob Dylan I could place the song. I don't know what it is when it comes to Bob Dylan's music, but I used to think the songs like A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, Idiot Wind, and Visions of Johanna were just [well, for lack of a better word] idiotic, too long and drawn out. However, after giving them more than a few listens I find these songs to be some of my favorites. It just grows on you. I've got another one.
  11. I got it now. Is this "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" ~Bob Dylan~?
  12. Got one, but it's got two lines. If you really like it you can have the rights It could make a million for you overnight
  13. You are right because I have heard it before but at this point all I know is, is this 'They're are Coming to Take Me Away"? To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time.
  14. I Got You Babe "Long as I remember the rain been comin' down"
  15. You are right WordWolf, it is definitely a song by The Rolling Stones. One, two! I was born in a crossfire hurricane And I howled at my ma in the drivin' rain But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas
  16. This is in the wrong thread then. It should have been in recognized from one line. I'm sorry about that. So here's the one or two liner that should do it. " I was born in cross-fire hurricane And I howled at my ma in the driving way"
  17. I had some doubts after a bit of time passed whether this song was a worthy clue of not. Now that I posted the two lines above this should be very do-able. Okay?
  18. I think I got it now just from the first line, Captain and Tennille Love Will Keep Us Together
