You are right because I have heard it before but at this point all I know is, is this 'They're are Coming to Take Me Away"? To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time. -

"On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair" -
You are right WordWolf, it is definitely a song by The Rolling Stones. One, two! I was born in a crossfire hurricane And I howled at my ma in the drivin' rain But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas
-
This is in the wrong thread then. It should have been in recognized from one line. I'm sorry about that. So here's the one or two liner that should do it. " I was born in cross-fire hurricane And I howled at my ma in the driving way"
-
I had some doubts after a bit of time passed whether this song was a worthy clue of not. Now that I posted the two lines above this should be very do-able. Okay?

I think I got it now just from the first line, Captain and Tennille Love Will Keep Us Together -
I was raised by a toothless, bearded hag I was schooled with a strap right across my back I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead I fell down to my feet and I saw they bled I frowned at the crumbs of a crust of bread Yeah, yeah, yeah I was crowned with a spike right thru my head

Well then, here's another group of lines' Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlights people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on
-
I didn't think that this was going to the grey area. For some reason I seem to have picked up the British spelling for grey. Anyway, here's something else' Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlights people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night

Your 0 for 6 now and I don't think that gives you the right to say anything does it? Songs on the album were songs on the radio. Where did you grow up that you didn't hear the songs from "Bridge Over Troubled Water'? Stop whining about it. I told you all I was doing was writing words down and don't get offended. Now you're telling me how to play? Ridiculous chatter.

Or, the players are just unfamiliar with the song. All I know was "The Ballad of John and Yoko" was an extremely popular song in the 1970's and its been played for decades. If you didn't know it the only reason was that you were a country bumpkin. -

You may have not hear This is because it wasn't released on a ~Beatles~ album. A single written by John and credited to both Lennon and McCartney only by John and Paul. George was abroad and Ringo was filming a movie. John was so anxious to record it, he took the song to Paul and they recorded it, Paul doing drums, base guitar, piano, you know, the usual thing a genius like Paul McCartney does, and back up vocals. "The Ballad of John and Yoko", John had hoped, would be released after it was recorded but it held up for the release of the Abbey Road song "Get Back" in April of 1969. "The Ballad of John and Yoko" was released as a singles collection of songs titled "Hey Jude". The songs were never on any albums, just singles and B-sides, "Can't Buy Me Love", "I Should Have Known Better", to name a few of them. It's also on another compilation or ~The Blue Album 1967-1970. Anyway, I'll post the song for you guys. A little note this is the last song that Lennon and McCartney composed together. Some music history I suppose. ~The Beatles~ "The Ballad of John and Yoko" -
Fair enough. Let's move on then. That's O for 6 now. ~Simon & Garfunkel~ Keep The Customer Satisfied
