I used a lifeline but Mrs. Bean was just as stumped as I was but it eventually came to her. Stuck In The Middle With You I should have known this. I like this song very much. -

Three movies or Three actors
Human without the bean replied to Raf's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
I figured that as this list grew it was one of those kinds of movies with many well known cast members. The list also tells me it is an older movie. I'm afraid though that I'm drawing a blank. -
That's it. I watched it many times. So many, that I still use quotes from it in my vernacular today, but most people don't get where I'm coming from. I love the scene, actually, just after those quotes I mentioned when, Delmar (Tim Blake Nelson) gets baptized and Pete (John Turturro) says, "Well I'll be a son of a beech, Delmar's been saved" and Delmar exclaims "I've been redeemed. The preacher's done washed away all my sins and transgressions. It's the straight and narrow from here on out and heaven everlasting is my reward". Then Everett (George Clooney) answers "Delmar what are you talking about? We got bigger fish to fry". Your up George.

Gopher Everett? The old tactician has got us a plan. It was in his yonder bureau. I reckon it would fetch us enough cash for a good used auto part and should be a little left over on the side. You got some light fingers Everett. Gopher? You miserable water-lily snake. You stole from my kin! Who was fixing to betray us. You didn't know that at the time. So I borrowed it til I did know. That don't make no sense. Pete. its a fool that looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart, now what the hecks that sound? It appears to be some kind of a..... congregation. Care for some gopher? No thank you Delmar. A third of a gopher would only arouse my appetite without bedding her back down. Oh, you can have the whole thing. Me and Pete already had one. We ran across a whole gopher village.

Is this the rest of the line, or a hint possibly? It's a hint isn't it. You're right WordWolf. She is so unusual. -

I don't remember if I've used this one before or not, but let's see. Gopher Everett? The old tactician has got us a plan. It was in his yonder bureau. I reckon it would fetch us enough cash for a good used auto part and should be a little left over on the side. You got some light fingers Everett. Gopher? You miserable water-lily snake. This shouldn't be that baffling No it isn't. Lying on the bed was a hint. -
Solsbury Hill, yes, that's it. It was Peter Gabriel's debut single as a solo artist after leaving Genesis. In fact, the song is about leaving the band behind and carrying on by himself.

Is this not a line that perhaps someone would remember the song from? If I were lying in bed listening to the music I would remember this one. -
Another one, not, Simon and Garfunkle To keep in silence I resigned My friends would think I was a nut Turning water into wine Open doors would soon be shut So I went from day to day Though my life was in a rut
-
Here it is. First let's warm up with "At The Zoo" before Simon and Garfunkel sing "Baby Driver".

My daddy was the family bassman My mamma was an engineer And I was born one dark gray morn With music coming in my ears In my ears My daddy was a prominent frogman My mamma's in the Naval Reserve When I was young I carried a gun But I never got the chance to serve I did not serve And once upon a pair of wheels Hit the road and I’m gone What’s my number ? I wonder how your engines feel Ba ba ba ba Scoot down the road What’s my number? I wonder how your engines feel Shine the light

I thought that was shoe in, but here is some more. My daddy was the family bassman My mamma was an engineer And I was born one dark gray morn With music coming in my ears In my ears My daddy was a prominent frogman My mamma's in the Naval Reserve When I was young I carried a gun But I never got the chance to serve I did not serve
