  1. Oh, okay. The Bee Gees, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb were some of the greatest songwriters in music history. However, some of their songs were written for other people, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton "Islands in the Stream", Dionne Warwick "Heart breaker", Frankie Valli "Grease". In early 1967, their manager Roger Stigwood asking Barry to write a song for him but after recording it in New York they ended up playing it for Otis Redding. Otis said he really liked it and that he would like to record it. Tragically though, Otis Redding died later that year and was never able to record it. What was the song? This could be difficult to come up with so, I'll leave this note, Barry Gibb was asked in an interview in 2017 by Piers Morgan "of all the songs you've ever written which song would he pick", and Barry said he would choose "[insert title] because, it has a clear, emotional message".
  2. As I sat in the attic, a piano up my nose, And the wind played a dreadful cantata. (cantata, cantata) Sore was I from a crack of an enemy's hose, And the horrible sound of tomato. (tomato, tomato) Well, I know my banana is older than the rest And my hair is a tangled beretta. (beretta, beretta) But I leave my pajamas to Billy Budapest, And I don't get the gist of your letter. (your letter, your letter) Catch up!, (catch up!) Cats and kittens (cats and kittens) Don't get left behind. (get left behind) Catch up, (catch up) Cats and kittens (cats and kittens) Don't get left behind. (get left behind, get left behind, get left behind)
  3. The Gambler. Only I couldn't think of anyone else in it.
  4. Next. Well, I know my banana is older than the rest And my hair is a tangled beretta.
  5. I don't watch much TV either. How boring, or maybe I'm the boring one. I don't know.
  6. The Power of Love "Two thousand miles I've roamed just to make this dock my home, whoo"
  7. I'm not so sure about this one being easy Raf. Had it been, "If it bleeds, we can kill it" then it would be. That's just me. We all have a variety of different movies or different genres of movies from which a particular movie quote strikes a fancy. But this one doesn't do that for me. Unless of course then, if this is from a Marvel Universe movie I couldn't begin because I've never watched them before.
  8. Kinda, sorta, sounds familiar to me, a tad bit. But still, pretty vague.
  9. "My biological clock is *ticking like this* and the way this case is going, I ain't never getting married".
  10. And just in case I sink my own boat with this one, here's a backup. "Forget the gun, take the cannoli"
  11. What was the name of that ocean liner that sunk April 15, 1912.....? Oh yeah, Titanic. Seems to me that people are still going down with that ship 100+ years later. Have we done this yet? "I feel the need. The need for speed!"
  12. I don't think this thread is going to fly that long. We already got one.
  13. This song "Bones" obviously was directed by Tim Burton. Skeletons and vintage movie theaters and allusions of nostalgia i.e., "From Here To Eternity", "10". When the Killers front men Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci sort of offhandedly suggested that they should get Tim Burton to direct the video they were blown away when Burton agreed to do it. It was his debut music video. ~Sam's Town~ which is the album the song is from was released in 2006 and Rolling Stone rated it the "Most Underrated Album of the Decade". It's quite fresh and keeps a good beat. I recommend giving it a listen or buying.
  14. Let see, is this movies or songs, I get them confused? There's a little yellow pill, and she goes running for the shelter of her "Mother's Little Helper" and it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day. "Sir or Madam can you read my book it took me years to write will you take a look"
  15. I think she was having a ham sandwich for anyone's information. The woman who spoke the line "I'll have what she's having" was Rob Reiner's mom in, When Harry Met Sally ! Easy movie quotes? Let's see. For this kind of work (Beethoven) he is kind of weak, so I tend to go with the heavier guys. "We came, we saw, we kicked it's as# !"
  16. Right. Okay then, I'm still up. "You had me at hello"
