Actually, now that I went back a few posts, it looks like I posted a tune that has not yet been solved. New song, not an elusive one. Well, have you seen that girl in the corner? I'd like to take her out of her chains 'Cause if I have my way with you, baby I would be changin' your life today Let's forget it and just keep going now. I don't have a clue what the tune is WordWolf.

Okay, here's then something a little different but still applies I think. I'm going give a few punch lines from a movie and they should be very easy to tell which movie its from. "Aziz! Light" "Don't watch that stuff all day sweetie. It'll rot your brain" "Negative, I am a meat-pop-cycle" "Wind blows....Fire burns......Water falls" -
The Ultimate Lineup for the Ultimate Band.
Human without the bean replied to WordWolf's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Here's my Ultimate Band I've so named ~Loaded in the Sky~". Clearly, my personal preference in music will play a big part in my selection of artists. When it all started for me I suppose was sitting in front of the television and I remember watching Ed Sullivan and ~The Beatles~..... and that must have played a big part in my taking to English bands from the British Invasion more than I did any early 60's American bands. But I really didn't begin to listen to music much, until I starting listening to Simon & Garfunkle in high school. I thought I would choose to place an artist in the first group of artists who were from the early 50's or 60's but not later than 1964, and then take my second choice from artists who played after that for my second pick. For me there was no question who I would pick for vocalist, bassist or drummer. Well maybe I went back and forth with Roy Orbison a couple of times for a vocalist. It was a reference made from WordWolf's getting the Rick James song correct. So, "you got it" meant correct WordWolf, and since we were also discussing the clue before that, a Traveling Wilbury's song "Dirty World" I just through it in there I suppose, that "You Got It" also a Roy Orbison song too, which it was, even though other members of the Wilbury's co wrote it but I don't think it was ever released from what I can tell as a Traveling Wilbury's song as WordWord recently posted, but only as a single released posthumously and also on Roy Orbison's 1989 album "Mystery Girl". -

Yep, that's it. Nice, I just noticed my typing error and I see I forgot the word 'know' as in "do you know" in the quote. Glad that it didn't slow you down any WordWolf. So many memorable (easy) lines from Pulp Fiction. "Um, that's a tasty burger" or "What ain't no country I ever heard of. Do they speak English in What"?. on and on. -

Sorry WordWolf, I didn't think anyone knew the song or even the band. Wish I would have waited.

"Do you what they call a Quarter-Pounder with cheese in France"? -
Not a very familiar song to someone who may not be a fan of their music. So moving on then the clue I was using is the lead singer from ~ELO~ Electric Light Orchestra, Jeff Lynne, also played in the band along side George Harrison, Tom Earl Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison, otherwise known as ~The Traveling Wilbury's~. The song was Dirty World. New song, not an elusive one. Well, have you seen that girl in the corner? I'd like to take her out of her chains 'Cause if I have my way with you, baby I would be changin' your life today

WordWolf I just wanted to pop in to say I've almost put all my band together. I too am still considering another vocalist. -

This puts WordWolf out for the round, he's never heard of Johnny Rivers or "Secret Agent Man", anyway, according to him. But now I'm up. "She's a very kinky girl, the kind you don't take home to mother" -

It's been quite a while since I've seen Planet of the Apes. Almost doesn't seem like that was the line but it is. -
I know. I think my clue was pretty vague too. The band singer from ELO was also in the group with the current song. Name a band member of this group and win the round.

Okay then, no bites to me means move on. That song was ~ELO~ Evil Woman A clue to this next song and I think players may need one is that tune (Evil Woman) has something in common with this next song. He loves your sexy body, he loves your dirty mind He loves when you hold him, grab him from behind Oh, baby, you're such a pretty thing I can't wait to introduce you to the other members of my gang You don't need no wax job, you're smooth enough for me If you need your oil changed, I'll do it for you free Oh, baby, the pleasure'd be all mine If you let me drive your pickup truck And park it where the sun don't shine *Hint: Part of the song title is in the lyrics. I used it before but nobody got it, so name the group and win the round.

Hey woman, you got the blues Yes you ain't got no one else to use There's an open road that leads nowhere So just make some miles between here and there There's a hole in my head where the rain comes in You took my body and played to win Ha ha woman, it's a crying shame But you ain't got nobody else to blame

And even though he isn't a white man I'm going with Rush Hour? -
It's not the "Cisco Kid" by ~War~ or "Slow Ride" by Foghat. It's a funk band song, I think. It's like you stopped time WordWolf. I can't come up with any other lines other than those you left. Uncle. Oh wait a minute, I got it. It is a funk band, that band is ~War~ and the song is "Low Ryder". It finally clicked after I realized it was a ~War~ song. Minus Eric Burton of course.
