  1. They both switched the leagues they were in? National to American and American to National.
  2. It's such a relief that I don't have to come up with the name of the group or singer for this song.
  3. George I thought WordWolf was subtle enough with the guy in Drag wearing a Net.
  4. That's a list of Hollywood Heavy's. I was inclined to go with "Crazy Heart" but I don't think that was a biopic. Could you narrow it down to the genre of music George?
  5. Yes. The first quote is from "A League of Their Own" and you got all the other quotes right too WordWolf. It isn't necessary to come up with all the movies but it's okay if you do to. You are up.
  6. That maybe a clue. P T Barnum as in The Greatest Showman on Earth.
  7. I think these are very good clues. The first three quotes are from earlier in this actor's career with some of his more famous movies. The last quote is from a movie he landed an Oscar for Best Actor. Shouldn't have had to give up such a big clue but this post has been up here now for 5 days.
  8. Oops, this is a movie right. I thought maybe it was a song. I'm not registering anything from this George.
  9. It's right. Jocko said no when I came back last time It's lookin' like I lost a friend No use callin' 'cause the sky is fallin' And I'm gettin' pretty near the end A smoke-filled room in a corner basement The situation must be right A bag o' goodies and a bottle o' wine We're gonna get it on right tonight
  10. a Vampire (movie with Pitt) Interview with? Tom Cruise American Made
  11. Do You Know the Way To San Jose ~Dionne Warwick~ Burt Bacharach surely made her a star.
  12. Ethan Hawke stars with Albert Finney in "Before the Devil Knows Yours Dead" and, as you would expect from the title the film is dark similar and along the same lines as "In the Bedroom". (fyi) Paul Rudd Ant Man Michael Douglas
  13. Classic Al Pacino I think I'll go then, especially after "The Devil's Advocate" quote. "It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard.....is what makes it great". "These are the simple rules: No barking, no growling, you will not lift your leg to anything in this house. This is not your room". "All my life I've been waiting for someone, and when I find her, she's ... she's a fish". "It's that every now and again, --not often, but occasionally--you get to be a part of justice being done. That really is quite a thrill when that happens".
  14. Yes, the speech in the "Baird school" auditorium where they almost expel Charilie.
  15. Yes, of course. Roundabout "I, I would be king. And you, you would be queen"
  16. That one is probably not in everyone's bag. Let's do another one. That was "Seven Nation Army" by the way. "One is the loneliest" whoops, that won't work. "There she was just a walkin' down the street"
  17. "Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is Mr. Trash. I'd show you but I'm too old I'm to fu8c&ng blind. If I were the man I was five years ago I'd take a flamethrower to this place. Out of order. Who the hell do you think you're talking to?
  18. The Big Lebowski Phillip Seymour Hoffman Before the Devil Knows Your Dead
  19. George, I've been paying attention to your post, and not knowing enough about this subject to do any real damage (that's my own fault) I was curious about finding out who was the first president of that government. I have a guess, Peyton Randolf? I'm not responding to the clue "was a BIG signer of the Declaration" that's too obvious and I haven't been actively participating.
  20. This could be fun. This will start by giving "quotes" of some movie lines that the actors or actresses made in different movies. Three lines should be enough. If not recognized then, more movie lines could be given. Obviously, this thread would mean you have to be a fan of the actor or actress in question to appreciate their work. So the lines don't necessarily have to be easy, but a better experience I feel it would be if they were familiar lines. This thread will take more time to come up with ideas. I don't expect it to take right off. But it might take off after a while. I'll start. "We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion". "You're not perfect, sport, and let me save you the suspense: this girl you've met, she's not perfect either. But the question is whether or not you're perfect for each other". "Look at this! My first day as a woman and I'm getting hot flashes.
