No Raf. I think this website is out of order. It's broken. I don't think its a moderator's job too fix that. As you know I have had a lot of issues with this site in terms of login and passwords. I probably didn't know that WordWolf had already answered it because I hadn't logged in yet and when I found George's response, the page hadn't forwarded yet to that point on the thread, and so with that in mind I figured it was still my turn. What's up with that unhappy face dude? Anyway, out of order I'll give you out of order. If I were the man I used to be 5 years ago, I'd take a flamethrower to this place. Out of order. I'll give you out of order. What kind of show you running here?. I digress. -

A New Song: When I saw you standing there About fell out my chair And when you moved your mouth to speak I felt the blood go to my feet Now it took time for me to know What you tried so not to show Now something in my soul just cries I see the want in your blue eyes You told yourself years ago You'd never let your feelings show The obligation that you made For the title that they gave

I'm sorry WordWolf but I don't catch your drift.

Really I got nothing. Just a guess with Peggy Sue Got Married?
-
No, George, I think it's exactly that because I'm guessing that is just a typo from WordWolf.

A lot of TV roles, but he's been in 100 movies.

I think that ( if I'm reading through the lines correctly) WordWolf is up. -
It is and I apologize now for its not really a ballet. I tried to edit that before posting but my time ran out (I'm hurrying to post this now so I don't get locked out) to change that. So Glen Campbell is the artist and the song goes a ways back I think 68' and its called "Dreams of the Everyday Housewife". I remember hearing it a lot back in the day. Glen Campbell was always on the radio and television.

Well, Glenn is the wrong Glen as I said. Just dropped it in there as a hint for you so you guys would get an idea of the genre and the kind of artist that the guy was. He's really country, but he was considered a folk guy too as many artists were of the day. It's ballet song, like Goldsboro's "Honey". She looks in the mirror and stares at the wrinklesThat weren't there yesterdayAnd thinks of the young man that she almost marriedWhat would he think if he saw her this way? She picks up her apron in little girl-fashionAs something comes into her mindSlowly starts dancing remembering her girlhoodAnd all of the boys she had waiting in line The photograph album she takes from the closetAnd slowly turns the pageAnd carefully picks up the crumbling flowerThe first one he gave her now withered todayShe closes her eyes andTouches the house dress that suddenly disappearsAnd just for the moment she's wearing the gownThat broke all their minds back so many years

Glenn Yarbrough is a folk singer, same type of artist as the clue. Bobby Goldsboro is another one. But neither of them is the artist for this particular song.

Am I logged in?

Yeah, the song is 50 yrs old. I think you're younger than George or I, so I'm guessing you weren't born yet WordWolf or were just a baby. Am I close?
