  1. I'm noting a theme with these last posts. They have something to do with wearing animal skins. I have no idea. Is Gitarzan the ape man ( Jim Stafford) too much of a stretch?
  2. Karl (the nose) Malden On the Waterfront Lee J Cobb
  3. It sounds like it is a song about some legend. David Crockett or somebody else like that. I have no idea but I probably have heard it before.
  4. I was actually going to throw some chicken breasts into it because I thought that that would just about blow it over the top.. It is a "one of a kind" recipe in itself. I was re hashing over what I recall was in the recipe and I remembered some other things to. The beans (might have been just one bean because it required extra time to cook) sat in a crock pot soaking overnight and together with some spices added the next day , garlic salt, onion powder, and cumin they cook in vegetable juice, tomato juice, and water. The thing that stands out to me is that it had a theme of three. Three hours of cooking, in three stages, and three of each, carrots, potatoes, 3 celery stocks, 3 cups of vegetable juice. When it was finished it was thick and stew like and the soup was out of this world.
  5. I wonder if anyone here can help me out. I couldn't find a recipe that I used to have that I originally discovered in Vegetarian Times circa. mid 1980's. I'm not a vegetarian but I did like love the recipe for Everything Vegetable Soup. I've been craving it now for awhile, and since I used to make it for fellowships I was hoping that someone may remember it. A lot folks, shared recipes for good quality food from time to time, so I thought I'd give this forum a shot. Anyway, I remember some of the ingredients, but not all. It had many ingredients and vegetables, three types of beans (Great Northern, Garbanzo, maybe Pinto which were left to soak over night), and brown rice, seasonings. The beans simmers for 2 hrs. then the rice for an addition hour and then all the other things, three sticks of celery, three carrots, canned stewed tomatoes, potatoes all cooked for one more hour. It didn't taste anything like a soup would. It was more stew like, but it was simply delicious. I've contacted Veg. Times and their archives don't go back that far. If anyone can help me find this recipe for Everything Vegetable Soup I would appreciate it, and so will you.
  6. That always been a hard fast rule with me too. If I can't understand what they're saying whoever they are, I tent to loose interest pretty fast. That's not enough to have anything click for me WW.
  7. This is the kind of songs I listen to most days if I am out and I have the tunes on. I like Alternative. Nirvana, Weezer, Cake, Pearl Jam, Jack White. Unless I want to listen to rock n' roll or classic rock (that's called the oldies today) I listen to Alternative rock. I been listening to Alternative rock for almost 30 years so I know most of the songs that are from that period and the new songs that are around. Like rock n' roll when it comes to harder rock sound like Alternative I like the older stuff more than the recent stuff. WordWolf your up.
  8. New song: Well, so 1, 2, 3, take my hand and come with meBecause you look so fineAnd I really wanna make you mineI say you look so fineThat I really wanna make you mineOh, 4, 5, 6 c'mon and get your kicksNow you don't need that moneyWith a face like that, do you honey
  9. G has to be Sylvester and Tweety. One of my favortie cartoons as a kid. I should ask Mrs. Bean if she knows any others. She has a lot of cartoon savvy. She ran a nursery (3-5yr old) in our home for 20 yrs. Watched a lot of cartoons over those years. I not so much.
  10. I'm thinking I would know or recognize more than one of these but for now, like WordWolf, I only have one guess and I cannot match it with the criteria that was posted. Intriguing entry here. Still wondering.
  11. Are you sure now. Are your facts straight already? Going with the Deniro link then, Hold on I have to hit the refresh tab or I'll get logged out....I'm back. David Keith (not to be confused with Keith David from a few posts back) An Officer and a Gentlemen Lou Gossett Jr.
  12. I had it in my mind for some reason that Supernatural had been around for 19 years now and still going. I like it was a trivia question that I obviously got the answer wrong.
  13. I came across something the other day about The Sixth Sense that blew me away. * 20 year Spoiler alert*: the psycho in the early part of the movie that Bruce Willis is seeing, who he thinks is getting better, but ends up shooting him , I believe his characters name was Vincent, is actually Danny Walberg who lost 50 pounds to play that role. I wish somebody would offer me a movie roll so I could lose 50 pounds. Anyway, I did not recognize him in the movie. So, Where are we? Robins out and Jude Law is in. OK... Let's go with, Side Effects Rooney Mara The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
  14. A know this one. Song is in my head but its not coming to me. "I can hear the voices say"............got it, Carry On Wayward Son, I'm thinking Kansas was the group. Now whose the TV show in the 15th season, not sure. Not Simpsons, not Supernatural, those are in their 30th and 20th something years respectively. Cop show maybe. CSI: Crime Scent. I don't know for sure.
  15. So am I correct in gathering that none of these were Variety shows, like The Sonny and Cher Show? Or are they strictly Rock N' Roll Shows?
  16. I was about ready to post a spoon-feed emoji. Your up George.
  17. Bunch of Who's Who in that Tom Cruise War Of The Worlds (2005) Dakota Fanning
  18. Oh, Doc was in that wasn't he, (thanks for the save Wordwolf). Christopher Lloyd My Favorite Martian Elizabeth Hurley
  19. That guy Guttenberg, and he was in, Three Men & A Baby Bruce Willis (He voiced it so that qualifies don't it?)
  20. Mama, ooh, Didn't mean to make you cry, If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters. Too late, my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine, Body's aching all the time. Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go, Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
  21. OK. When I read the "heading way down south, Mexico way" I knew it was Hey Joe made most popular by Jimi Hendrix and I think I remembered it was a cover. Genius lyrics website notes that "Authorship of the song has been called into question on numerous occasions over the years, though it was eventually settled that copyright belonged to Billy Roberts—an obscure folk singer from the 1960's".
