  2. In a very direct way --- Way Corps Sponsorship was a way to put your sponsors in debt. If you were Way Corps - they (your sponsors) were surety for your payments --- THAT IS,... unless you were paying your own way through the Corps.

    Teacher's

<grin> --- Oh yeaH !!! Yep, Yep, Yep!!! Oh boy --- do I ever know what it's like to be bullied because you're seen by others to be "defective".... I didn't start school until I was 10, and putting me in school was a big mistake. My teachers were Catholic Nuns, and while some were very good and loving, others saw me as a freak of nature, which - of course - only served to encourage the meanest of the Bullies. It was like telling a pack of dogs to eliminate the weak one (me). I never thought about suicide over being bullied though, I was spending much-too-much time considering suicide for my own personal reasons, than to worry about why other people might want me to die. I had these two syndromes (still do, by the way...) Dandy Walker's and Aspergers Syndromes - one's physical and the the other one is a coin toss between being a mental and a physical problem. But the Aspergers is attibutable for my hyperactivity and dyslexia and stuttering etc.,.... There was a boy named Danny that beat me up several times on Station Road (while I was going home). It got to where I was so scared that I hid in the woods and waited for it to get dark before going home. To this Day,.... I run across people that give me that damnable look that I have learned to read soooooooooooo well. A bit like a hunter's look. One that says, from their point of view - you're defective,... aren't you? I don't know life any other way - it's just always been like that for me. Roy - there is no answer - where everyone's happy, unless God gives it to you. Because (I'm convinced) no one person ever can.

    Song of the moment

Once I thought my innocence was gone Now I know that happiness goes on That's where you found me When you put your arms around me I haven't been there for the longest time
  7. Before you attempt the solution of a problem or start studying a subject, it pays to think explicitly about what you expect your solutions to look like, or what you expect to learn. There are two possibilities: your expectations are met, or they are not. In the first case you feel reassured and on top of things which is nice. In the second case there are two possibilities. Either you made a mistake and now that you are alert to the fact you can recover from it. Or, and this is the most exciting possibility, your expectations were based on some misunderstanding and now you have a chance to improve your understanding and learn something new. Yanno?
  8. Would you feel better if it was Apple's Way & The Apple Corps?
  9. What?!!! No NO no nO! I'm no good at these games, I hardly ever know the right answers and - then - I don't know any good quotes...! Pass. I'll stay out of the games threads if it comes to that. Sorry. I Just happened to look and George had already guessed it before me, so I felt safe making the comment. George you go.
  10. Of course RENT is just debt,... money owed to someone else --- sort of like a mortgage payment, ... eh? And if you ever (God forbid) had enough money in your pocket at one time to buy a house outright, ...would you have then been hounded to give all but what you need for necessities - to DA WAY???!!!
  11. Haha! I'd have to by pants with bigger pockets!
  12. Just rename Weirwille Road Waydale Road and have it over with.
  13. Why that's a twin cock engine, of course....
  14. The Revolutionary War is a good example of people rebelling against a government. One of the primary reasons American colonists fought the war was because of onerous taxation. What makes a tax onerous? It's not simply a matter of whose ox is doing the goring, i.e. In 1765, the Stamp Act was considered onerous, so it was a matter of who the ox was goring. The British Parliment, in response to American protests passed the Declatory Act. In that act, Parliment declared thet they could indeed pass laws that affected Colonists only, laws for taxes that didn't apply to any other British citizens, taxes no other Brit would have to pay. It's interesting to note that Colonial taxes were raised to cover the British National Debt. Colonists objected to the tax because they were forced to pay them and had no legal recourse. Whenever one group of people are taxed above another, without any sign of or sense of gain for doing so - other than to fatten the coffers of a financially irresponsible government, you have an onerous tax. If you follow the Bible, there are certain taxes delineated By God to Samuel when Saul was made king, also in the Law there are forms of taxation, yet in all of these there is no predisposition to unjustly take more from an individual than he can rationally contribute, and the amounts are fairly applied. I've heard people say that the verses you supplied apply to godly and demonic governments alike, yet it stretches my imagination to think God is encouraging any sort of wickedness or unfair burden be levied upon His children. As in Hezekiah's Kingdom, a government that is evil will fall, if it does not correct itself, or that leader will eat of the fruit of his own ways. There were many occasions where God told a prophet to cry out to Rulers to change their ways, and when God's people cry out to Him, he will deliver them from evil.
  15. About them bodies: it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. It's the body that will be *different* ... The spirit is eternal (if only a token of what we'll one day have) The soul, dies - goes to God who gave it, and will be quickened by God at His good pleasure. This is part of what I understand.

    Song of the moment

John Prine, Hello in There Ya' know that old trees just grow stronger, And old rivers grow wilder ev'ry day. Old people just grow lonesome Waiting for someone to say, "Hello in there, hello." That song's stuck in my head now

  19. Thanks Waysider, I knew someone could sort out the mess I posted. I knew there was something behind it. Now, I'm confusing 2 stories. One was Dr.E.E. Higgins which you showed, whom Juedes covered. Now another was that Weirwille actually met either Bullinger's daughter or grandaughter 9close family friend who had the book rights?) at some point, which led to the printing rights in some fashion. I know the American Christian Press at one time had the rights to press "How to Enjoy the Bible". At any rate they used each other until she struck a deal with some publishing company, as she was interested in both E.W.'s legacy and her purse, while the Way was looking to legitimize it's "research". In hindsight though, it's rather obvious that major sections of the class are simply reworked material from Bullinger's original works --- MINUS Bullinger's strong Trinitarian beliefs, and PLUS Weirwilles fake anctedotes of how he got the revelation.

    Hunh?!!!!

Do hungry crows have ravenous appetites? If a Lawyer can be disbarred and clergymen defrocked, Can electricians be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys reranged, models deposed, and tree-surgeons disembarked? When Cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say? Why is brassier singular and panties plural Why are builders afraid to have a 13th floor, but book publishers aren't afraid to have a Chapter 11? If a word was misspelled in a dictionary, how would we ever know? Why is it that writers write but grocers don't groce and hammerss don't ham? Why do "slow down" and "slow up" mean the same thing? Why doesn't onomatopeia sound like what it is? Why do fat chance and slim chance mean the same thing If humans evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes? How can the weather be hot as hell one day and cold as hell another? Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle? Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"? why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips? When you lose your temper, shouldn't that mean you get happy? If someone is deceased, did they just come back from the dead? How do you get off a nonstop flight? If blind people wear dark glasses, why don't deaf people wear earmuffs? If women and cats will do as they please, Isn't it up to men and dogs to relax and get used to the idea?

  22. But it was a surprise to his granddaughter who is said to have remarked to VPW that "You write just like my grandfather taught." The implication I got from that was that VPW had it in his books already before he was ever introduced to Bullinger's works. I'm not certain of the veracity of the story, and the quote is a paraphrase from memory. Perhaps someone else here knows more about this?
  23. Fruit, fruits,....... <grin> It's an "in for the penny, in for the pound" kind of thing as I see it. It's of the Spirit. I look at it as the reward I never really notice for doing things right. I should notice. I guess sometimes I do. My experience, though, is - that other people notice - before I do. Sad, but true.
  24. No slight to Sunesis here - just a few thoughts... The 10/11 Dimensions of M Theory are a rather dated (circa 1990's) view of quantum physics... but whether 10 or 10 trillion or an infinite number - no way to test to be sure until they give me a 12 MEV electromagnet in 6 banks of 6 (figure the odds, it's not exactly a "green" idea there). The math says I could open a doorway to another dimension,... you can go first dear reader. >>Make a line, no pushing<< M is for "Magic", M is also for "Mumbo-Jumbo", and for people the waste their time looking for the Higgs Bosun - Wild Geese, my friends. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. -- that's a similie - a comparison using like or as,... as is the following: A Street is as a River They're similar in comparative terms only. It's not a mathematical formula there, it's not intended to be either. It's just a comparison of concepts. Here's another one: He was like a Tiger on the field. Don't get carried away, don't get me started on this one.... Isa 57:15 (KJV) For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones Spirit baby, that's the Ticket! Hey Get your very own eternity Ticket! >>Make a line, no pushing<< Why,.... you can Lo Shanta >snicker< or just go ahead and die - if you're just dying to find out
