  1. That XP internet security thing is admitted into your computer when you "ALLOW" a pop-up. In other words to admitted it (although unknowingly). Last year a similar program ran it's course. The Program is malware and it leaves a line in your registry asking it to search for it's active program. If it doesn't find it "active" it sends an instruction to replicate itself again. It can be more than just an annoyance. A friend of mine got it and she was nearly in tears, and she is always so careful about where she surfs. I removed the program by installing MalwareBytes and running it (it's a free program) her computer had gotten to the point where she could not run any .exe or .com program and that included her AntiVirus Program. By the way, if you purchase the "XP Internet Security" your problem will seem to go away for a while and it stops the Pop-ups which foretell ipending doom and stops the Browser Hijacking. Yousaved yourself about 200 - 300 dollars George, bygetting rid of it yourself, and it's a good thing you did this right away or within a short time of acquiring this malware. It can get beyond the Average person's ability to fix within a week. Of course the whole point to it is to get you to Buy their "program." (get the Registered version - as I recall their verbage) If you have Anti-spyware/virus/malware and wonder how you got it, re-read my opening statement, you told your programs hey, it's okay we're buddies, let'em in.
  2. >>snicker<< ... Following that Logic: If we'd have killed you when you were two, Waysider, it wouldn't have been murder? {oh I just had to type that....!}
  3. Rather existential Roy,... Just sayin. ;)
  4. The Exodi (I like Exodi best) were, no doubt causes for concern. I'll bet LCM fumed when so many people left. I mean him kicking people out was one thing eh? But how DARE all those othe people leave?!!!! >>> or was Martindale so stunned that others flocked away - not understanding? <<< Eventually though, ike a lost little boy, I'll bet he fumed at all those "Traitors" I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall that day. And I'm going to do some speculation - being a student of Human Nature and of people with some wealth and power in the secular world. That: RR and even Donna might have been JUST as concerned about his ineptitude in shooing away their "cash cows" (get along little doggies) as they were about his sexual peccadillos. But yanno since he was all MOGgie and all, they had to be careful about how they did this. Why they might even wait till someone else SOUNDED THE TRUMPET and then go - well golly gee, we didn't know ALL of that --- well maybe we suspected som, but gosh,... golly............ >innocent winks< So the Exodi were devastating financial impacts on TWI's ADMIN but it would have been the CONTINUAL slow bleeding of cash cows that irritated the most, and LCM's M&A policy was contributing to their own financial bloodletting. If your initials were RR of DM you might wonder how this could impact on your shopping trips? If you were A SOLID BELIEVER that had always nodded yes - this bloodletting HAD to disturb you! ...just sayin' So it comes as no surprise to me that RR is more of an Admin leader (financial guard dog) now than a MOG (WOG?) >snicker< ...I mean,... you GOT's to have your priorities!!!

  6. Oh I can't resist ,.... Twinky hand me the Pokémon cards, I need to clothespin them into the spokes! And if you want a W of Wisdom class, and you abbreviate it as WIZ, please keep it away dfrom the TIP >SNICKER<
  7. Yes Thomas, I know. I'm sorry if I didn't make my brief reply clearer. I went back and read it and realised it could have been taken that way. I may have done something similar with another person over in politics. Anyways I'm not dissing you either. I just concede the point on Weirwille not originating the stuff. Some people when they turn on a light switch don't care about all the Physics and Theory behind electrical power and how that light is operated, but they just know that when you hit the switch the light comes on and that's enough for them about that for that day. I'm probably not going to ever collect the works of those men. The men from whom VPW plagarised. There are sufficient voices on the net who have stated that VPW plagarised this, and they also offer proof. My dad left Way Stuff in the Attic of his place that made it through a few of the Hurricanes that took off parts of the roof back in 2004. One of those things A "Green Book" has inside of it a Pamphlet titled "How to become a Christian" - the copyright of it predates Weirwille's "The New Dynamic Church" buy several decades and is nearly ripped off - word for word - in an enclosed Chapter. I didn't mean to come off as dismissive of you Thomas and I apologise.
  8. RR, that is soooo true. Also opens up another thought to me. What about all the priests that know what's going on and don't tell,... or leave the priesthood,... or sound any alarm. ? Also: what about the ones that cow when they hear the alarm and their shepard tells them to STFU? I guess no "Group" has a monopoly on some things. In Ireland we hear about the bad and the good, but the bad news always seems to have legs, and the good news is too often ignored. In the US I never hear good news from the media about the Catholics or about any religions. I'm sure you could search it out and something's been covered, but it's tucked away in the back storeroon closet or on Page eight under the "Slipand Fall" Lawyer's advert. But let there be a problem, a complaint against "One Nation Under God" or "in God we trust" and it's front page eh?
  9. Agus,... ANIOS as rud éigin go hiomlán éagsúla! ... díreach éagsúla? hmmmmm Can't really think of a good word for word, for completely that one's more like 'exactly various' And NOW for something Absolutely VARIED! directly different (Éist do bhéaln -hahaha! I bet that won't work in a translator!) You're such a diplomat! heh heheh ::Claps and Dances:: I knew I couldn't be the ONLY one that thought of that!

  12. Awwwwwwww, so sorry nyunknown,... can I get you anything? Watch, sweater, rocking chair? How about a lovely hand-crafted cane? ::::runs and hides:::: <<teasin ya there>> and good! I do always try to be respectful. I'll keep all that stuff in mind. really I will........... Say,... If I had a pair of Gum Rubber boots I could be a Gumby! [quote name=Bolshevik' date='15 March 2010 - 07:14 PM' timestamp='1268698452' post='490740] *not mentioning something so as not to make nyunknown feel old* I take it, Bolshevik, that you are closer to my age? (I'm 29) ~~~~~~~~~ Somewhere, twice now, WordWolf has mentioned to me that there's some games somewhere. I need to check that out. The Politics forum seems like it can turn into Python's Argument room pretty easy. Besides, I don't have the inclination to get mean with anyone at this forum. Here's how it can get..... Customer Ah. I'd like to have an argument, please. Cashier/Receptionist: Certainly sir. Have you been here before? Customer No, I haven't, this is my first time. Cashier/Receptionist: I see. Well, do you want to have just one argument, or were you thinking of taking a course? Customer Well, what is the cost? Cashier/Receptionist: Well, It's one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten. Customer Well, I think it would be best if I perhaps started off with just the one and then see how it goes. Cashier/Receptionist: Fine. Well, I'll see who's free at the moment. Pause Cashier/Receptionist: Mr. DeBakey's free, but he's a little bit conciliatory. Ahh yes, Try Mr. Barnard; Room 12. Customer Thank you. (down the hall he goes, opens the door to Room 12) Abuse Clerk: WHAT DO YOU WANT? Customer Well, I was told outside that... Abuse Clerk: Don't give me that, you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings! Customer What? Abuse Clerk: Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type really makes me puke, you vacuous, coffee-nosed, maloderous, pervert!!! Customer Look, I came here for an argument, I'm not going to just stand...!! Abuse Clerk: OH, oh I'm sorry, but this is abuse. Customer Oh, I see, well, that explains it. Abuse Clerk: Ah yes, you want Room 12A, Just along the corridor. Customer Oh, Thank you very much. Sorry. Abuse Clerk: Not at all. Customer: Thank You. (mutters) Stupid git!! But then again,... you know that!
  13. Thanks to those of you that have answered. I'm really glad I found this site and you guys here. I'll tell you why. My dad died last Sept 28th. He only talked to me a few times about the Way. Well after he died I considered looking into taking their class. I mean my dad did and I figured "Hey I'm not some dumb kid now, and, if it was good enough for him,..." yanno? That in spite of him telling me to stay away from the Way, it wasn't worth my time. But curiosity is a powerful thing for a person that's lost nearly everyone important to her. The last time I looked on the net about the Way had been back in 2001, before I went into the Marines There hadn't been much on the net back then that I found, besides I was on dial up and it took forever and I never found Waydale or this place etc and all indications were that the Way had gone toes up Search engines weren't as good back then and unknown to me my dad knew how to block certain content and I didn't have my own computer back then so the amount of time I could spend was pretty limited, plus my mom discouraged us kids from using the computer for much beyond e-mail and "Mom-approved" activities. I also was finishing up two Bachelors degrees back then and just didn't have much time to look into it, or I would have probably have found more out. Well I ran into GS in January (this year). slightly after the Way had returned my letter saying I couldn't buy their book that I HAD BEEN Interested in. It was nicely written but set an alarm off in my head,... I mean who in this world doesn't want to make a buck? right? Anyways, everything I have searched out since validates what you guys have said about the Way. Of course I had to check that out, no offense, but I don't think I'll be taking their class.
  14. Just in general, after ten years of Rivenbark, does anyone here know (I'm sort of sure someone would) about how aware the average Way follower IS concerning Martindale's indiscretions, or Weirwille's. Do you think that most/many/ few of them know what happened in the past? I've read that VPW's books are still published, although edited posthumously. Are Martindale's book(s) seen the same way or are they stuffed in a corner out of sight, out of mind? Before I stumbled upon GreaseSpot, my earlier searches had led me to believe that the Way dissolved when Martindale's actions were exposed,... lawsuit, etc. I know you guys consider these subjects "old hat" I guess my greatest curiosity lies in wondering if a lot of the present Way leadership knows better and sticks with RR, or as some of you have suggested they are waiting for the critter to expire. And how does this contrast to the present Way followers? Do they know better and still follow anyways (THAT does seem less likely). How do you think those who have been there for ten years or more have reconciled all the contradictions to the point where they believe that RR is the "Man" of God for our world today...... One last thing. About what percentage of people would you estimate are blissfully content with the current Way, and think it's "just perfect" the way it is? (if you've typed something long before about this, and you want to point me toward an older thread, I'll take a look at it as well)
  15. I don't think I've watched all the DVD's for The MP Flying Circus yet,... But I can go toe to toe with anyone on MP and the Holy Grail. As you gathered, nyunknown, I'm a Big Python Fan even though all that was cancelled long before I was born.

    Doctor Who fans..

That is soooo funny! Good on ya mom! My mom would never have let me paint anything in my room. Anyways, I'm a big Doctor Who fan. I also have watched many of the Monty Python shows/ movies on DVD. I've seen all of the Doctor Who with Chris and David as the Doctor and most of the Doctor Who Confidential's. Not quite as thrilled about Torchwood but have seen most of them Also loved Red Dwarf But hey,... it's Sci-Fi without an American Accent, so the old shows weren't Star Trek calibre..... or "Star Wars" ILM Quality even Anyone remember UFO? My Dad left me a Huge DVD collection when he died. Space 1999? oh there's so many good old (crappy) shows...... <grin> Don't forget K-9!
  17. Thanks WordWolf, that's exactly what I was wanting to know. The only one I knew about for sure (and have seen) was the Weirwille One that looked quite old, although I knew there was a current one as well.

    Welcome to Earth

Well I'll skip to 1987. That's where my first memory of life is. I was in Adare Ireland, although if you told me that at the time, I would have just stared at you. I had just turned seven and I didn't even know my own name. To this day I don't remember being six or five or four. I just don't. I spoke my first word when I was seven, but about 6 months before that, in April of 87, I became aware of the world. Well I think it was April. My Brain woke up and I began to catalogue everything. I do remember putting ideas to what I saw and heard. I picked up language very fast but there were a few pitfalls. Dad spoke English, but Gaelige art home. Mom mostly spoke French. It would have been hard to convince me then, that both of them would be dead today. You can think of what a dilemma I had been for them for those seven years,... I didn't speak. But in addition to me, there was Ken and AJ - Mark and Maggie (twins) - and Josh. And I had another sister that didn't live with us. Up till this point I had just been the little vegetable kid. For seven years My mom had dressed me every day helped me to eat, eliminate, bathe, etc,... all without any help from me. I had been a non-participating member of Life and the Human Race. They call this condition extremely severe Autism By January of 1988 I could speak Gaeilge. and French as well as anyone my age and my English was quickly improving. I remember being happy, I mean delighted to be alive. It was decided to have me placed in a regular school the next admissions. My happiness was a reaction to my father, who had never given up on me. EVER. He was very happy to see me learning and doing things. Now I know my mother was as well, but she was scared of me and I knew it. I now understand that my mother hated me, but I didn't realize that then. her hatred stemmed form a resentment of me and how I had affected her life. I didn't know this then, so I just loved her anyways. It's strange - but you can be good to someone and hate them still. My mom always took good care of me. She was always good to me, and she always hated me. it's a difficult concept to reconcile, so I told myself that she loved me, and I believed that. My first word was "Please". asked of my Father. He had to go to sea and I had wanted him to stay home. I remember he started crying and I thought he was going to squeeze me to death. The next day he was gone to sea. My mother sent me to a boarding home that afternoon. I remember taking a boat on the Shannon River to the place. I was there for six months. I had a room with a window facing the boat dock and the river In those six months I spoke exactly 873 words, and mostly yes and no, to other people. A t night though I practiced all the words I heard without saying them aloud. they would later require little practice I also learned to read several Doctor Seuss Books. To this day I can recite 3 of those booksin their entirety without flaw. I won a lot of free beer this way later in life because of this. On the front of the Seuss Books it says "I can read it - All by myself" Nothing could have been more true. more later
  19. Thanks Leafy, Hey yanno,.... I really don't care if this plant is happy, but a nice salad or spaghetti sauce down the road. Still I wouldn't want the plant to be B!+¢H!ng and Moaning about it's Pot sides..... <grin> Will give the link a spin and see what other things might make the future meal unhappy,.... lmao!
  20. Oh Cheranne, that's almost funny (except it isn't). But still - I can play with that idea a bit, ... : "Now Class My sincerity is no guarantee for the truth! Here,... see? I've got this toothbrush **twirls his index finger around on the ONE bristle** "You'd like to buy it , wouldn't you?" Ooo I heard the class on Tape. I heard a lot of tapes before they wore out or were lost in Hurricanes Charlie & Fran back in 2004. One I always remembered was "All Aboard" So VPW's TWI was sort of like a mountain railroad with an Engineer gone wild..................
  21. Yeah sorry Ham was right and you are too Bolshevik. Jael? I think, was her name. oh and though someone only said it in here - they were right... Courage is always courage. It don't matter how old you are. Courage is always courage - every TIME!
  22. Wow,.... Okay. here's another take on this, mine. Now keep in mind my point of view is from someone that has killed people. quite a few of them actually. I killed most of them with an M-16 But I killed 3 with a handy RPG launcher I shot 2 with a 9mm and I ran one over with a HumVee and there are some I remember and won't even list, but I also saw a lot of people die that i didn't kill. I've killed Cattle and Chickens, Geese & pigs and a few sheep I killed a mouse with a hammer once and have also hunted game. So I've done a lot of killing myself and seen a lot of death. For the most part, any people I killed all had one thing in common. They had all had tried to kill me and failed. But I have killed animals just for sport. You can all judge me if you know all the facts. If you need any ask, it won't bother me, and no I am not real proud of all that, but it's all reality - so there you have it. For the most part death happens rapidly whether it's with people animals, plants whatever (Though I'm not exactly sure on the plants... I'm just guessing there) I'm not sure they have time to emote over it, and if they live long enough to know they will die, they experience a host of emotions, but I've never seen any kind of death emotion. I'm really pretty confident in this answer Roy. And the dead,... well they're dead for sure. it's just like that.
  23. Just curious,... How many "Basic" classes were there? ...along the way.... I didn't know Martindale made one.
