♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫ So sit down at the table, and eat to your heart's content! Jesus Christ has paid the price, It doesn't cost a cent.......! !!! IT'S AVAILABLE !!!! ...and how much to I make out the check for? I would like to buy me some Word of God, please! ... I REALLY NEED TO LISTEN TO ALL THOSE OLD TAPES.
  2. tHAT'S FUNNY! There are many of these drink supplements out on the market. They all have their niches. Flavored water with either sugars or healthy added things of questionable or actual merit. I would be upset if I failed to make the following comment: Not Rosie's brand of Kool-Aid - eh.......................? ...thou shalt have no other kool-aids before me ...for I, thy Kool-Aid am a jealous Kool-Aid...
  3. Pardon moi, while I have a Synergistic Dream... Edited: adding... Romans 8:28
  4. ...does a WWW search for Blonde Jokes..... scoots off to the shadows
  5. Yes I guess you have that "Real Truth" all locked down for yourself. How fortunate for you. You no longer need to look any further,... leaving you plenty of time to correct the remainder of the Human Race. What a noble goal. So then, the Real Truth is that they are wrong and you are right. You think we're stupid, you appear to have answered my question on that, as you have called myself and others here, unenlightened, deluded, in error. We live in a pit of darkness and make you want to vomit. We disgust you. You're quite antagonistic for such a compassionate soul. Obviously, you believe that insulting those who disgust you is of great assistance to them. After all, only someone enlightened - such as you, to the Real Truth, can understand how entertaining and useful it is to pick up a stick and repeatedly strike the Hornet's nest. I'd rather be stupid than mean, thank you.

  7. Sometimes the simplest things are the most complex, and vice versa. Sometimes it's easier to grab a large principle when you back off a ways. While there are those things that have to be ferreted out, and worked, and done exactly with loads of patience and meticulous study. There are other things that are never clearer until they are seen from a distance, and I'm not sure they can be ascertained when your nose is too close to the grindstone. One of the verses I hold quite dear is in Hebrews. It has helped me through many times where people called me retarded (because of my speech problems), or when friends or family have passes away suddenly. "For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." For someone like me that's lost most of the really important people in her life before hitting 30. Hey, I had a mom that thought my existence was a major inconvenience. She told me many times she wished I had died and I believed her. So it's nice to know there's someone still alive that loves me and fought for me, It's made it easier for me to fight for myself and for others when things were rough. Geisha really struck a chord with me concerning Jesus. He's my Lord. A lot of ex-Way people I have spoken to do tend to minimize Jesus, being very self conscious about not wanting to call him God,... they have built for themselves a bit of a Jesus-Box, making it difficult for them at times to consider him as highly as they should. Doing so handicaps their believing, in my observation. To many of them Jesus is just a conduit to God. I actually think they sometimes forget he's alive now, viewing him as a historical figure that died and rose from the dead. Intellectually they know he's Lord, and it is in their hearts when it needs to be, as well, But they would fear saying that they adored him... They have that worship line they worry about. In Hebrews, Paul had to broach a line in the minds of others quite like that, but his major challenge (God's major challenge) wasn't about the High priest thing, It was, to put it in terms I understand,... A battle for the hearts and minds of those people, regarding the proper place of His son. There are many things Jesus does for us today - you guys could all make lists, I'm sure - But there's one thing that amounts to what he's really been up to all these years, clearly spelled out. I'll make that a thread one day. It's something most of you really probably don't consider much, though you all know it. Also to cman - yeah - about Christ. I hear you. It's an interesting concept - we are all members of his body and his ambassadors. He is us in that way and maybe other ways when we have our heads out of our A$$es
  8. Well you just have it posted in Latin WordWolf. At first I thought it said "who guards the guardians" and then I realized what movie it must be. ... but okay,.... here's one that should be EASY "Where does he GET those WONDERFUL TOYS??!!"
  9. Awww Ham,.... The light at the end of the tunnel doesn't have to be an oncoming train. <grins and runs before Ham starts throwing acorns>
  10. Okay, Obviously this is to the Hebrews <snigger>, I make this assumption due to the fact that it says that in big letters at the beginning. Now Paul is so specific in those church epistles in the openings. I think the first word is always "Paul". This is the only one he wrote that starts with "God" and that should really gather your attention right off the bat. In Chapter 2, we start with a phrase that could translate into our phrase,m "Use it or lose it" geisha's right, this is a warning! The whole opening of the book is one big warning. If God were Foghorn Leghorn,... it would read "Ah say, Ah,ah,ah, say, Pay attention SON!" It's like when the train is about to leave the station in Japan, hey baby, either you're on it or you're not, but it WILL LEAVE WITHOUT YOU! if you don't get on. Like a good Drill Sergeant he keeps exhorting them all the way through The book reads like a Christian FAQ for Hebrews to believe Christ, lol....
  11. Hahahaha! OMG!!!! Have you considered - perhaps - that the moment they saw you were still alive (8 years later),.... ...they realized that their earlier words had been full of $#!+ and it made them ashamed enough to try to be nice to you?
  12. Who Watches the Watchmen? ...
  13. yeah,... For the most part, what other people believe shouldn't affect you. They have their minds and can believe what they want in them. You have yours, and the same rule applies. The problems start when one of two things happens. ...One: Person A's belief's lead him to infringe on Person B's life, for some perceived gain for Person A, at the expense of Person B. ...Two: Any Person encourages others to be Person A Of course Two takes us right back to what geisha mentioned "Just think of what we are capable of in terms of deceit. . . ."
  14. The guy's a hoot! showed up in his other thread asking for scans of a few pages of the PFAL book. I teased him a bit - but thought - what the hell, maybe he'll go away if he gets what he wants. He did. He didn't say thank you, and hasn't posted since. Cake anyone? Edited to reflect: Just after posting this, I got a thank you note in my mail from James

  23. "The Bible from which I have been quoting is called the King James Version. It is not the King James translation. If I had the King James translation in my hands, I would have a Bible that is worth a great deal of money as a collector's item. Once a translation has been made from an original text, like the Stephen's Text from which the King James was translated, the first copy is called a translation. When scholars begin to re-work the translation in any way, it becomes a version. Now I said that no translation, let alone a version, may properly be called the Word of God. As far as anybody knows, there are no original texts in existence today. The oldest dated manuscript is written in Estrangelo Aramaic...." PFAL Page 127
  24. What I'm piecing together here is that the Hebrew Bible thing stole from the Way's work on the Aramaic Translation (somehow). What you're no doubt looking for is that Weirwille wrote "There is only one way to rightly cut The Word..." page 119 Naturally, you wish to contend that you agree, so you're not stealing any intellectual property from the Way, and since they had this or that passage correct, and GOD's Word would suffer if you supplied any other "cutting" of the passage --- After all,... who can lay claim to God's Word as THEIR property. And WNAE is off the hook. on Page 120,... "Why do we study? Because God expects us as workmen to know what His Word says." Yes,... It's GOD's Word, not the Way's... ===Title Page Info=== power for abundant living The Accuracy of the Bible Victor Paul Weirwille American Christian Press The Way International New Knoxville, Ohio 45871 =============================== ISBNO-910068-01-1 Library of Congress Catalog Number 72-164674 American Christian Press © 1971 The Way International.
