What an ingrate! >>snicker<< ...And after all the time VPW spent stealing all that material,... and working it into a ... (n/m) ...well he did work awful hard to make it seem as if he did it All,... by himself, and that took considerable effort! Some people just don't appreciate all the hard work thieves go to,... yeah,... ...well, there you have it!

Our Gathering and Our Resurrection
Gen-2 replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
My father told me this, soul-searcher. "To be honest, most Jews today do the law so poorly that they have little hope of achieving their salvation, unless God is willing to overlook or forgive the larger entirety of their lives." That's a note in his bible. If you discount the new testament, the Jews stand a better chance? ...maybe, maybe not. I guess it does depend on whether or not Christ is the Messiah. Most Jews (and I know a lot of them) rarely think about the messiah. Some (many) believe that it is a matter of little consequence in their lives. So there you have it. If Christ was/is the messiah, then yeah, they've got some major problems in having Rejected God's Messiah. If he's not the Messiah, we all have major problems.... Hope that answers your Q! -
Our Gathering and Our Resurrection
Gen-2 replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
well the point is - We don't know when. Jesus doesn't know when, Only the Father. ...could be today, tomorrow,... any day in the future. The "...all who will believe concludes before God can act..." which you mention, isn't my idea, But I'll address it. When God acts, certain things will have concluded when He does. Think of it that way instead of in the reverse, with God as the cause. The Jews between Pentecost and the return of Christ get saved in the same manner, My father was a Jew, born and raised. My mother was a Catholic, born and raised. They both got born again. They can both claim God as their Father. I didn't know anyone had a problem with this? Amen to that cman! How this all goes down, is all up to God to sort out. While I will assume the Resurrection of the Just will resurrect "just", and the Resurrection of the Unjust will resurrect "unjust", it is God who will decide who is who - AND it does not rule out the possibility that He will do marvelous things never mentioned. Personally - I see many times, in the bible, that people "get up" and not all of them have the same disposition (they don't all go to the same place or do the same thing). What I believe doesn't exactly line up with VPW or with this Gathering/Resurrection thing (although it has it merits, it has a lot of bumps in its road, as is). -
Our Gathering and Our Resurrection
Gen-2 replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
If all that happens as you have suggested then there is a problem here. A few actually. When is it that we are just? ~~ When God says so. When is it when we are not. ~~ When God says so. And is this by one's own doing that we are just. ~~NO If not, then why would anyone be chosen to be one or the other. Because God divides all into one of the two resurrections. Therefore - He chooses who will be in each. And not picking on you, cause I know many think this- There would have to be a day when all of those alive (that will believe) comes to a conclusion, On that day, which God alone knows, he sends Christ to gather his people, and they meet him in the air, the dead and the living. Well - you certainly can't raise all the just if they have never been born yet. So I'm presuming that, in order to raise them they have to be alive or in the grave to do so, Because the bible states that much. God only knows when that time will be. Where did that idea come from. The all at the same time theory. Have I stated some theory? Explain that better so I can answer it. This Gathering/Rerurrection thing is not my theory. As well as this thought- Quote At that moment, the only people left on earth are,... well,... Unjust. Once all of those who will ever believe have been gathered/resurrected, in the resurrection of the just, then the only people that can possibly be left are those who will never believe -

Our Gathering and Our Resurrection
Gen-2 replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Okay, so I'm cruising along with the thought that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile now with respect to who can be saved in our day and time. This would necessitate a couple of things to happen. There would have to be a day when all of those alive (that will believe) comes to a conclusion, On that day, which God alone knows, he sends Christ to gather his people, and they meet him in the air, the dead and the living. This would be the first resurrection. The dead in Christ would be all the believers before the law that God judged worthy, all who lived under the law whom god judged worthy, and all the "born again" - along with any others God chose to have. At that moment, the only people left on earth are,... well,... Unjust. When the last one of them dies, there would be nothing left for them than the resurrection of the unjust, which, at that point, would be anyone that God didn't get up earlier. As far as I can tell, they pretty much annihilate each other somehow. So the only problem with all that, would be if the scripture starts mentioning people that are brought in between the two resurrections that believe, because they missed the Good ressurection boat..... -
Maybe they're just looking within the ministry for new ideas to plagarize. Find something juicy in the submitted research,... wait X many years,... and publish! You can stave off the critics by saying "You can't sue me, nanny nanny boo boo! ...because it's religious doctrine" or somesuch tripe (anything to divert from the truth that it was just the theft of another's labor). In a pinch, you could at least get a good Sunday Night Service teaching out of someone's submission.

I had to go through my e-mails to find this one. it's a quote from a current Way member and leader who had once been a friend of my father. He was replying to a notification i sent to him that my father had paseed. He Said: "I have no friends when it comes to God's Word." I remembered that. I remember thinking what an A$$ he was. That was his entire reply.

Natchurrly.... Since initially posting this, I found that there is A snippet of frames just like what is being spoken of in my dad's PFAL Syllabus. Also in the back of the syllabus is something called a WOW Handbook, It's about the size of a Little Golden Book, softbound. I looked inside it. It tells one how to be a good WOW! (illustrated with stick-figures)

You don't believe in My God, so your points are moot. You believe in another god and when you see these things happening, you blame the God you don't believe in. A rather silly exercise. Thank You for proving my point. Your "god/id" or "Intelligent Designer" Is not the same one I believe in. You don't believe in God, you believe in some god. My point stands and is well made. Thank you for proving it. GreaseSpot has many people with a variety of interests and beliefs. No one here is telling you how to worship. I certainly am not telling you how, or who, to worship, Composer. Your replies to my post, neatly broken down, to argue each point, prove every word of what I said there. I'm responding in the manner you'll best understrand by replying in kind to you. Yes,... you're making this about what YOU detest,... for you. It is considered rather bad form to come in here and tell people what they should or should not believe. You can state your beliefs, ask others if they agree or disagree, and invite comment and discussion. You're rude Composer, and as such, not worth any more of my time - unless that changes. You also owe me an apology, for your personal behavior.

Mr Owl,... How many licks does it take to get to the chewey Center of God's Will?

I read the thread you started. It is just a list of complaints, and you make no real coherant point about Haiti. Anyways ~ you don't believe in God. You've said as much already. So the only real point to your questions would be to use them as a springboard to argue about something you don't believe in. I hope you're more productive in real life. Perhaps if you were not so bitter (and yes, it really shows in your writing) people would talk to you.

Our Gathering and Our Resurrection
Gen-2 replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
It's interesting how this all drops into a logical sequence without any need for much explanation. Funny how the mind works. If not for Way teachings, you'd still have almost every Christian teaching Rapture of some sort. In this regard, though, those teachings of the Way only served to promote "elitism" (we're so special that God had to carve out a special niche for us), carrying dispensationalism off towards sensationalism. Since your head is geared towards this, or any of you that have more time than I, I'll ask a favor. Do the concepts VPW taught concerning Bride & Body reconcile themselves in light of this? The Way's classes taught a division in Bride and Body that might have been artificial due to his divisions in Administrations, and what of the oikonomia and such? There still is - something that happened on Pentecost that seperates us from believers of the days of yore, ... SO why (now) did Christ have to die if we're not getting something "special". I mean, I'd assume that Abraham and Noah, both gentiles, will be in the resurrection of the just, so why the sacrifice? Just to make it easier? Maybe that's the grace through which we were saved. God making it easier for us than the Law had been for them. But even the Jews that accept the new birth come in under this grace since pentecost, though they rebelled and wanted to keep the laws, rather than accept it. Are we "natural born sons" rather than adopted? we of the new birth? That goes to the OT vs NT ways of being saved. Just some stray thought I can't pursue now. -
Yes, I saw those pics. That's obviously a greasespot leaking out of the wall. Belle, you should write them and tell them that it's most likely to happen "by Midnight" <<snicker>> Edited to correct a typo

Our Gathering and Our Resurrection
Gen-2 replied to JeffSjo's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
So,... if the gathering together is the resurrection of the just, then we are all going to New Jerusalem, no? That is our Hope? None of us are going to heaven if New Jerusalem is our destination , because that's on earth ... and so on. But you can see what I'm getting at. There are several points here that would resultingly conflict. "Seated in the heavenlies", for us, becomes - just a Figure of Speech. Just asking.... -

Obviously people die. I've been taught God doesn't murder or kill and that the devil has the power of death. I believe the Devil is subject to God - But not subjugated (as you said). You're being so patronizing and mocking me. Apparently you forgot something and continued in a following post. You probably know more than me about this stuff Geisha. I don't know if God gives the devil licence to kill only on request, as in your example with Job. I don't know how that's done, or if God's done this with the bulk of Humanity. If He has, then NO, I wouldn't want to worship Him. But I do know that the Devil hasn't already been judged, and neither have we.
