Yeah,.... So if you use a few, many or no connectors it's a figure of speech, well kiddies,... that just about covers any verse! Yeah it's silly, but there's a point in that statement.

Maybe that's the cornsilk from the burgeoning corn crop at the farm...

Come now, Waysider....... Even a counterfeit has to contain at least "some truth".......... oooooohhhhhhhh, eeewwwwww, aaaahhhhhhhh! Well,... Some figures are meant to draw attention, and mark out what is important, Like Asterisms,.... Behold! the Glory of the Lord! where the word "Behold" is meant to draw attention to the importance of the thing said. That one's rather obvious.... But do I think that Human nature can creep in and begin to make people think they can play games with all this,... Oh yes, you betcha I do!

I haven't kept up with Anita Dunn, Roy. And as is often the case (I'll Admit) I don't always understand you. So what did she do or say that has you posting about her? You know I luvs ya Roy Smooch!

Thanks Guys, If the Way doesn't still own it I'm going to call and book a reservation for later in the summer. I'll call tomorrow on it.

I don't know, but tried the GS search feature. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. If anyone knows of an old thread that talks about it, I'd appreciate a link, otherwise I might be looking for it in June still,.... eventually I think I'd find it....

I have a question. (I always have a lot of questions) In one of my dad's diaries he references "The Sydney House" [22 Jun '77]. He says,... "It looks sort of like one of those Historic Preservation Houses. Somehow the Way owns it and me and Ralph XXX had to move some furniture there, I'd like to do a painting of it after the Rock if I get a chance. We actually got paid and I'll use the money to but my meal ticket for the Rock. The place is really cool and they're supposed to have an Open House during the ROA." Anyone know anything about this "Sydney House"? I'm just curious.

In Recent Court Documents: TWI Admits to Wrongly Dividing the Word
Gen-2 replied to James Trimm's topic in About The Way
I wonder if their admission stems from the fact that none of the people that worked on that translation are still standing with The Way. It may just be their way of distancing themselves from people that walked away from them. After all,... they're still "Right", so those people must have been wrong. THEM, THOSE PEOPLE,... yanno? It's difficult in life when you're always "right",... ...such a burden and all........! -
Help me remember this: God's original intent
Gen-2 replied to Shifra's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
First Samuel Chapter Eight (the whole chapter) is about how the people demanded Kings and got them - because the other nations had them . There are (i think) similar scriptures regarding both Israel getting Judges and the Law, but I don't remember them offhand and don't have a Bible in the lab here.... -
Help me remember this: God's original intent
Gen-2 replied to Shifra's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
No no,.... I don't think that's what she means, she wants the OT Verses (I'll find them tonight and post them - they exist) unless someone else does first. -
Hahahaha! So Erkjohn, if it cost money, the problem was your believing, and if you believed for Money, it costed you, and if you thought the Way was going to lose money on you, to help you out (THOUGH it IS amusing, when you remember where they got all their money) you were deceived. Any money the Way spent on it's "people" was generally calculated to be worth the investment, i.e. paying for "all mailings" was considered worthwhile to encourage ABS. See what we did for you? we keep in touch and care about you,.... Howzabout you care for us too,.... Cha-CHING!!! You know, if you get the letter on the good stationary, yer in the 500 Club,.... lolololol !!!!!!

Looked at the PDF's James, and I agree that you really needed to do this, They answer a lot of the questions brought up here at GS earlier - and if I may say so without malice, those questions arose mostly be cause of unanswered derogatory remarks about you on the web, which were easy enough to find. Congrats on the way the suit resloved itself Probably a wise idea, next time, do that initially and you may save yourself a lot of heartache.

hahahahahaha! Good! Every situation is different, so the response should not always be the same! and besides - if you didn't stick up for yourself,... I'd've called ya a wimp Jeff! <<dances off>>

Why play games with people about who's righter? Who can prove what..... This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. Taunting people is intended to get you where? to get others to do what? foolishness,.... so you sit and yell nanny nanny boo boo? Good for you!

1. Because they were never in the Garden, nor outside of it after Adam was forced to leave. 2. They were Born here. As to #2 an Irishman, and Former Way Believer has made a lot of money selling a book on the subject. He used to go to twig in Dublin. (Trust me, the book was written for the money, not for accuracy.) The Non-Biblical "Book of Enoch" says: Chapter 6, VI 1. And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. 2. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.' 3. And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.' 4. And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.' 5. Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. 6. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. 7. And these are the names of their leaders: Samlazaz, their leader, Araklba, Rameel, Kokablel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaq1el, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel. 8. These are their chiefs of tens. Although the Bible does mention a Book of Enoch. There is no certainty that the above has anything to do with it. Books like "Chariots of the Gods" brought the Alien idea toit the fore and in past days religious leaders went for the "Angel" bit, yanno? the Bad angels and then you get into religious traditions and translations of dubious degrees Nephal (Hebrew) means to fall, hence Angels fallen, or Fallen from favor, have been surmised, and the phrase Sons of God is sometimes said to be angels (not fallen) Nephalim is translated Giants because older scribes of the torah note them as Fallen from heaven, A rather Kabalistic thing ensued and has been with us over the years. So how are "Giants" - "Fallen Ones". What did they fall from? Heaven itself? ...which would support the angels or aliens. Or is this a lot simpler? And realted to the context it's written in? Chapter four relates Cain's line (unbelievers, fallen from the graces of god) Chapter five relates Seth's line (believers) Chapter six relates that wickedness increased when two groups intermarried (gee, this is NOT where my brain thinks SPACESHIP!) producing Fallen ones to the point where everyone was corrupted except Noah. This is all about people... After the flood We start right out,... again Ham and Caanan, and on to Nimrod. People and their decisions to do wickedly. Sounds so un-PC,... so harsh. I know.... It boils slowly till God divides the earth in Peleg's day and Babel's Tower. more later...

Hi teachmevp. This is where my curiosity meets your first post. Are you writing us a book? or copying one you like to us? What's up with the "Y's" [told you I'm curious] - I know the Hebrew names but I've always thought people that insisted on using them in English are being snotty or they are tired and lazy like me when I write in Gaeilge rather than English. "What more is there to say?" ~ Well, you wrote "Chapter 1"...... so I'm going with the idea that that's a silly statement. Are you awarfe that your book seems a lot like parts of another one I read? Pretty good book actually.....

Love that. And true, we can't "Repay God". It's more a response. We love God because He first loved us. We simply responded to the beautiful Love of God. The Love which He initiated. It's to each other that we owe love to one another. God commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves. It's not a balancing act of debt and repayment, and the emphasis is on our giving that love. But it all started with God, who gave His only-begotten son. All of our actions are never any more than how we respond to what God started, really. It's very cool that we matter to Him!
-
We love God because He first loved us. 1st John 4:19 For God so loved the world that.... What? Yeah okay,... we're all in debt, it's true When Jesus is in the hearts of believers, those believers do better than when they try to love God with him (Jesus) surgically removed.
-
I think she meant she hadn't read the entire thread, but was just responding to the title of it - & etc.,... Most of te Ex WC People I've met were much older than me and were pretty nice people (that my dad trusted). I haven't met any of the Rivenbark Era ones, But then again there aren't as many of those to meet, and most of the Martindale Era Ones were marked and avoided (a lot of them for not saying the pledge of alleigance to the 4-Hed) This is just my opinion. But back in the day, when the ministry was such a big deal and tens of thousands of people were involved, I can see how people could get ALL CAUGHT UP in it. And there were hundreds or thousands of WOW's all over the country promoting them! Today they are perhaps the only religious type organization with an established website - whose "About Us" page has no way to contact them. I'm Glad my Dad left, and I didn't have to "grow-up" there. I am.
-
Oh that,..... Well most of those people aren't current Way followers. They're former believers that left over the years, that have no idea how VPW died (or the things that he did). They believe Martindale ruined the Ministry Hell OldSkool didn't know all that ^^^^ till Yesterday.... And He worked there! But if you didn't know, and only had fairly good memories of da Founder, you might be at that FB Page....
