  1. 9. Do you love clean toilets? And are you willing to work on the cheap to keep them that way?
  2. It's the Way to Abundance and Power, except don't quote me on that in a court of law.....
  3. He was on the Grassy Knoll too............... Some think Oswald was on his own killing Kennedy (The Magic of Believing bullet). If only the Secret Service had been speaking in Tongues..... + Don't forget all the "Teacher" framed pictures. Rumor is (I have been told) they were a Twig Coordinator necessitty at one point in time.
  4. So they rounded down, some people round up..... "Several possibilities come to mind." Oh yeah, and sorry about this, but,..... So did this one - Sorry Steve...... :)
  5. ... Not only that! BUT... the Ship performing Oil recovery in the Gulf was struck by lightning, effectively killing off BP's cleanup operations at sea for the Big Oil Spill. Someone must not have been believing, and right during the Advanced Class! Go Figure.... BP ship story link
  6. There are times when I will reverse subject and predicate, or add a definite article where another American wouldn't, Since English doesn't use gender specific articles I'll add "The" in odd places. No one gets it here, at Greasespot. But in Ireland a lot of people do it, People who were raised speaking Gaeilge. I'm not sure if the "new testament" Books were written in Aramaic originally. I am sure that the oldest examples we have are not in Aramaic. But if a person's native language is not the one he's writing in, there will often be the tendency to use figures and language patterns from their native language. What I mean by this is that Paul (FOR INSTANCE) might have wrote Greek,... with an accent. A whole lot of mss "bits" continue to be found of the early Bible (NT), they're all Greek. That's not making much of a case for The Aramaic or Hebrew. If this was truly the go-to language and used by the early church to such a great extent, it perplexes me that In so many digs and tells dated to that time - no and I mean NO Aramaic versions. If there was more substance to the substrate, it would seem a much more "substantial" hypothesis. It remains in the category of the educated guess, which I understand. But it's still guesswork.
  7. Oh My! and That's in Ohio, I've seen it before.
  8. hahahaha kay so I don't want to be thought of as a Dorkus. I have never seen any "concrete results" to speaking in tongues - and I do it still.... Now how dumb does that make me sound? My Brain still thinks I should, It kind of goes like this: "Hey Brain?" "Uhhhh, yeah?" "Howzabout we speak in tongues, Whadda ya think?" "But Bullwinkle, That trick never works" "Yeah, But I'm your free will and willpower, and I say we do" "Happy, Happy Joy, Joy, Happy, Happy Joy, Joy, Happy, Happy Joy, Joy, Happy, Happy Joy, Joy, ....." "BRAIN!" "Happy, Hap,... ~~~ What?" "Quit that!" "Oooooooohhh, all-riiiiiiight...."
  9. Relegate it to your list of things to do. But it's supposed to be giving you such a wonderful return, no? If you're not seeing such a return, quit doing it a while and see if there's any difference. Make your decisions, based on the results. I honestly have never been able to attribute any results to speaking in tongues directly. I still do it when I want to though, but that's my decision.
  10. Well here's one for you then, the adversary doesn't care about the TWI believers, They've insulated themselves from the rest of the world. Outsiders are too messed up to talk with. A TWI'er saying he witnessed is like the proverbial White kid saying some of his best friends are black. The adversary doesn't have to do much with TWI, They're a low-maintenance "christian" fringe group that does a pretty good job of causing itself it's own problems without his intervention, or that of any devil spirits.... <grin>
  11. Well, don't feel too badly. It's never a bad thing to pray foy someone, after all. But I hear ya,... doing it to the exclusion of everyone else is pretty weird, when you think about it. Sort of like "God is Love,...... except to THOSE people,... those stupid Christians out there." Way believers have a hard time admitting that other Christians are even part of the same family. Hey if they're not ABSing to The Way (God's REAL Household) God isn't even spitting in their direction, right? Once, years ago ( I have 11 siblings) I asked my dad (just to see what he would say) a question; I hoped up on his lap and hugged him and said "Dad,... you really love me the most, don't you?" The look on his face was priceless, Like I just didn't get it....
  12. Okay, here it is, and I'm Going south on this post because of it's #
  13. Loshanta, lo shanta, lo shanta,.... you betcha! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
  14. There goes my fam-ah-lee, I know they are,... I can tell by the yellow bumper sticker that is stuck, On their car,... I take my keys out, I start to smile for a long, long while but I don't key'em when I know I could, I got style.
  15. Read you five by five T & O
  16. Edited to clear up devilish typos
  17. It's 1:09 AM, Tuesday the 5tth of June as I post this. I came to this topic to post my thoughts on wherte I WILL POST MY POST #666,..... seemed appropriate
  18. For the rest of you ~ All ye who read this. I see people I care about beginning to be angry. So my response is humor. No, I am not laughing at any of you. I remember when one of the disciples came to Jesus (well, lol, I remember reading John said it) and said: Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. Oh Hooooo So they're not a part of your slice of Christianity. This verse was a real lesson to me at the time.
  19. Ahhhhhhhhh,... Nods head in Understanding... Sort of like Twig Coordinators,.... Deacons in some churches, lay clergy in others,... maybe the leader of the choir, The church bus driver.... OR, The assistant to the Assistant to the Assistant of ____________ . We need our middlemen to insulate our leaders, and to keep the pesky free-range followers at bay. Why do we put up WITH THEM!!? WHY??? Because Virginia, they are the door to a full collection plate for us. --- Takes deep gas-masky breath and smiles unseen behind the veil of my mask.... "I find your lack of faith disturbing." ... "Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them."
  20. "Christ?!! Oh yeah, hey,... he's like some duuuuuuuuude God raised from the dead,... yanno? Don't Worry about him,... love God <<Grabs a pitcher and the tray of sandwiches. Pours a glass and passes the tray>> Want one?" "And you've taken the WAP class?" "Yeah, you should too. You'd like it." The whole visit (to say hi to his wife, an old "friend" of mine), lasted less than 20 minutes. She'll probably read this and laugh soon.
  21. Good for him! He married a woman and not a puppet! Yes. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to tell that story.
  22. Rigid structure meets Free Association - should be exciting (gets Popcorn)
  23. I do hope you know I was teasing you from the onset there chockfull. I'm Terrible that way....... But yes,... that pattern is in full bloom in most of the Splinter Groups. But Master Splinter told the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles once: "You are wise to keep your secrets, but even wiser to follow my wisdom." Of course he was a Rat and lived in a sewer, and taught his disciples - Michaelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo to hold fellowships in a sewer pipe,..... Go figger/..........
  24. People like OldSkool don't get over it <grin> they just get along in spite of it... (ONLY TEASIN')
  25. That is correct! $505. Although it is possible that you paid it as two seperate fees. I wasn't born yet.
