  1. Yeah, I hear ya. The current thinking is using this rig to run a slant drill and intersect thie abandoned leaking well, under the surface a good ways and then pour mud/cement down the new shaft, sealing both off
  2. BP discovered during the attempted topkill procedure that the well bore was broken beneath the subsurface and that the mud being shot into the well was making it out of the sides of the casing and leaking into the rock surrounding the well. The well casing may have been destroyed when the oil rig exploded. It is believed that there is oil and gas leaking from the seabed surrounding the BP Macondo well in the Mississippi Canyon sector of the Gulf and from the seafloor up to 7 miles away because of the explosion. Another oil rig, drilling a relief well meant to intersect BP's gushing flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico is ahead of schedule and could reach its target as early as this time next month Pressure from the Macondo well, from what I can see is about 2500 PSI as it rises up to where we see it leaking, it is coming through that pipe you see on TV or the internet but it's also coming up around the outside of the pipe through the seafloor. The seafloor is mostly stratified silt-mud deposited by the outflow of the Mississippi River, or salt deposits, and it can fracture easily.
  3. I've been serving beer and food in a Restaurant I own, and then cleaning rooms (and yes, toilets) in the morning at my Bed & Breakfast. I'm wearing blue jeans to work. No one can tell me to change into something else, since I'm the owner. I've also been taking my laptop with me. I'vemet all the people that work for me over here. Some are new (I haven't met them before), and several of them didn't believe I was the owner, which was funny. I'm still wanting to stay up way too late. I want to find a pair of Bunny slippers and wear them to Limerick in the morning,... just because I can. O'Connell Street may never be the same. I never was in TWI and whenever I visit those who I know that are I dress "casual-nice" and don't talk much, except to the person I'm there to visit. I learned a lesson. You will never get rich working for someone else.
  4. Well, Ralph's still alive and kickin' In NY State, but he really doesn't want anything to do with The Way, nor has he for years. He's happy to be out and hasn't joined any more religious/spiritual clubs since. He left in disgust and some anger, He won't be back looking for any "mantles". Sorry to bust your bubble, teachmevp, but it's not going to happen.
  5. Well the riser is still connected at site. when the Rig sank, it folded over, So you have aboout 5,000 feet of pipe pretzeled onto the ocean floor, So you can't just dump-rocks-down-the-hole. It has been suggested by some that detonating a nuclear device if small size (less than 5 kilotonnes) would serve to seal the leak. As a physicist, I find the idea amusing. I sure as hell wouldn't try it. The floor iof the gulf there is mostly silt and salt deposits and it is very brittle. A huge shock, such as detonating a nuclear weapon, could just crack the substrate and open up an even larger leak. A one kilotonne device would make a steam bubble of just under a mile in diameter, Along it's edges it could fuse rock. But the shock wave of the explosion can also shatterthe seafloor which is mostly salt deposits at the drill site. You would kill all sea-life within about a 5 mile circle. But water is a good thermal neutron attinuator and radiation wouldn't actually be much of a problem. It would be like killing a Rat with a 250mm Cannon,... overkill and more destructive than the attempt is worth.
  6. She owns it. At one time it was a great point of pride for her as she escaped criticism concerning the "Owe no man anything", only to hear of believers upset with her, especially those who had been quoted that verse in Acts about selling your house and having all things in common, But for her, Home is where she hides things that she's not into sharing. "-like everyone else." Thanks for the laugh, yoiu made me snort coffee! Oh please,... she's far too old for levis,..... >grin< Sides, she owns a whole passle of land in North Carolina. Well,.... you can't take it withn you when you go,... so,... soon she'll own no property.
  7. Faerie circles often are made of Mushrooms. They grow in a ring for no good reason. Mushrooms are famous for growing in ...., in fact they thrive on it! And there are legends that if you enter one yoou will be compelled to join the faeries in their Ways.
  8. Okay,... that Irks me, well the whole thing really,... BUT,... if she got such wonderful revelation, why did God forget to tell HER what to write on the form? lololol
  9. No, I never,........................ and I had to do that ^^^^

  11. Well Ham,... years of service and then what? They hand you your nuts! If your not as smart a a squirrel, you don't bugger off and stay right where the Adversary wants you.
  12. Wierwille was poor as a teacher. He was a charlatan, a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick in order to obtain money, fame or other advantages via some form of pretence or deception. He made (usually) showy pretenses to knowledge or ability. He was a fraud. All that being said, his idiocy doesn't negate God. man can study things to his hearts content and not truly understand something, that's been shown time and time again. Someone was using the example of The Elephant and the Blind Men, which is a very good example,... for "now we know in part". But one quack is not good reason to chuck God. Neither is a multidude of Quacks.
  13. It's gonna be scattered this time Tom, but it'll come from everywhere and no particular place and you know it.
  14. Put the picture down Ham....... <grin> Face down
  15. VPW was riding the harley my dad contributed towards by the early eighties, it was worked on extensively by Way Engineers (I assume they no longer exist). Weirwille liked Harleys and the one being collected for would later be called the Twig-hopper, replete with a sidecar and a trailer. But it wasn't his first Harley He had one back in the days of the Way East and the Way West as this Time Magazine Article from Monday, Sep. 06, 1971 records Religion: Fellow Travelling With Jesus Freom what I heard, weirwille said at one toime that he wouldn't take the "gifts" I dunno - but he did cash the cheque and he did get a "more than Abundant" Harley out of the deal - all customized at ABS expense.
  16. My Dad kept a cancelled cheque for it. A Harley with a sidecar. It was one of those "Love Offerings" The cheque is dated 21 Dec 1976 for $50.00.
  17. hahahahahaha!!! I'm tempted to do a MoJoJo diatribe
  18. In the Beginning was the Ministry and the Ministry was with God, and the Ministry was God....
  19. There is a principle in the Bible about believing, and it's important. Its prerequisite for other things as well, and what you believe will determine who you are. Believing isn't a toy, though. It isn't taking God out of a little box and using it however you want to, and then putting it back. There are things God asks us to believe. The people in Hebrews eleven that are given as examples, believed what God asked them to believe. They didn't "wing it" and ask for a bunch of crap that God didn't want for them. I think it's Hebrews ten that tells us that faith (believing) without works is dead, and all his examples are of people that did something about what they believed, making it a lot less mystical. People don't do something in life if they don't believe it's worthwhile. On the other hand, if they believe it's possible, they don't let failures dissuade them from acheiving their goal. They remain patient inside (not frustrated) and continue to work for what they want. Sometimes, it never happens for them. But it's exceedingly rare for them to achieve something they never work for or believe in. Hope that Helps.
