Ha ha! That was sooo funny! I guess you don't like Mr. Melonhead based on your clever characterization. Well, I've got new for you: John Mellencamp ROCKS! I've seen him three times and he's never disappointed. (And I love his politics.) I guess it's your turn.

Okay, never mind that. let's try this: So I call up my preacher I say, "Give me strength for Round 5." He said , "You don't need no strength, you need to grow up son."

Um, speaking off the top of my head...I thought the Beatles' shortest song was "Her Majesty" (~ 00:32 sec) and I don't remember those lyrics in it. -
Yeah, it's interesting how the banjo line gives it away considering that the scene is a small and ultimately insignificant (albeit very entertaining) part of the film.
-
Nice try, Human, but no. Here, this might give it away: "Goddamn, you play a mean banjo."
-
Here's another line... "Night has fallen. And there's nothin' we can do about it."
-
Okay, I think this has gone on long enough. I think the quote is from "The Usual Suspects". If it's not -- my apologies -- I'm going anyway because I have a good one: "Let's just wait and see what comes out of the river."

Isn't that what Hollywood is? The Lethal Weapon movies, Gladiator, Rambo, Die Hard...etc. Coen brothers films are far more nuanced, subtle and intelligent than the drekk I cited above. The violence is portrayed accurately, IMO. I think I'll go again... "Oh for Pete's sake, he's fleeing the interview! He's fleeing the interview!"

I never used the term before. Tripping to me means an LSD trip.

Chigruh had caught a shotgun blast in the leg. He knew he needed to clean his wound before continuing on his assignment and so he had to rob a drug store for supplies. This, to me, is one of the most interesting scenes in the movie, especially the second half of the clip. Notice how Chigurh cooly goes through the trouble of rinsing off the bullet fragments he extracts from his wound. And you if sneeze you might miss the one moment where he gives even the slightest hint of being in pain. Brilliant movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZqVv_x-n0s&feature=related

"You've seen him, and you're not dead?"

"This country's hard on people, you can't stop what's coming, it ain't all waiting on you. That's vanity."

"You can't make a deal with him. Even if you gave him the money he'd still kill you. He's a peculiar man. You could even say that he has principles. Principles that transcend money or drugs or anything like that. He's not like you. He's not even like me."

"What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss?"
-
Nope, not The Rock. Here's another quote: "Buenos Dias. I'm guessing this isn't the future you had planned for yourself when you first clapped eyes on that money. Don't worry, I'm not the man who's after you."
