It's possible. It's a classic line, one that I'm sure has been quoted often. Here's a big clue: The Rolling Stones paraphrased the movie title in the song "Let it Bleed".

"Years from now when you talk about this - and you will - be kind."

Correction: the drummer in ELP was Carl Palmer. Robert (R.I.P) was a singer/songwriter once associated with Lowell George (R.I.P) of Little Feat. He had a couple of minor hits the 70s, notably "Sailin' Shoes" and "Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley". He also teamed up with members of Duran Duran to form Powerstation ("Some Like it Hot") in the 80s. * * * No idea on your song.

If this doesn't give it away, nothing will... "Hey, why am I Mr. Pink?"

Same flick, different dialogue: "Somebody's shoved a red-hot poker up our a$$, and I want to know whose name is on the handle!"

VP (You know he wasn't really a doctor, don't you?) Wierwille
soul searcher replied to waysider's topic in About The Way
From the web site: Wierwille once defended Pike's Peak Seminary by claiming that its president at the time he attended was Dr. H. Ellis Lininger who "had been the head of the Department of Education for the state of Colorado" (The Way-- Living in Love, p. 189). However, the Colorado Department of Education informed us that Lininger never did head this department as Wierwille claimed. This is pretty damning evidence as to vp weirdwilly's being an impostor. In the real world, one's credibility would be completely destroyed. The fact that he was able to succeed to the extent that he did in building a ministry is a testament to his business and marketing skills. -
That could be from various movies. But taken together with your earlier clue I'm pretty sure it's "A Few Good Men" So... "Are you gonna bark all day, little doggie? Or are you gonna bite?"

It's not a Beach Boys song? -
From the "Letters to the Editor" in today's New York Times: To the Editor: While many New Yorkers mourn the man who helped return the Yankees to supremacy, it is also important to remember that George Steinbrenner greatly diminished baseball for about two-thirds of the fans. That is roughly the percentage of teams that start each season with no realistic chance of becoming champions because they can’t afford the best players under the twisted system that Mr. Steinbrenner exploited. Yes, he was a brilliant businessman, but he spoiled the sport that so many loved back when it was played on a level field. I couldn't have put it any better myself.
