I completely ignored Spirit as a youngster. 'Course I also completely ignored entire genres like soul, r&B and reggae.

Sometimes you gotta say "What the Fvck"...

Groucho, that Spirit was some good sh|t. This here's a good sing-along song...

Great joke there, bowtwi. And it really got me thinking about myself and my (occassional) bad behavior.

A great end-of-summer song...

Thanks. I left before rush hour and got there with only minor delays. I beat the traffic by leaving the game in the top of the 8th and flew home in record time. I parked several blocks away and it was $23. A couple of blocks closer to the stadium it was $36...friggin' joke. I think the new garage is all either reserved or pre-paid. I don't park in the garages, though -- takes too long to get out.

Manny's always been a head case. Gotta take the bad with the good. I'm going to Yankees-Oakland tonight at the stadium. Wish me luck with the traffic.

A Day In The LIfe
soul searcher replied to Human without the bean's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Okay, I thouhgt about it alittle bit this afternoon. My first inclination would be "I Want to Hold Your Hand" because it's the first one I remember hearing. And then there's All My Loving and I Saw Her Standing There. But those only qualify as my favorite early Beatles song. From their later work I'd have to consider several songs from "Abbey Road" including; Oh Darling, Something, Here Comes the Sun, You Never Give me Your Money, and the Golden Slumbers-Carry That Weight segue. And of course there's a helluva lot of great stuff in between "Meet the Beatles" and "Abbey Road". I will give this some more thought. -

Impossible to choose. I love them all. It's easier to pick the Beatle's songs I don't like: All Together Now Yellow Submarine Good Morning, Good Morning Revolution 9 -

Nope. The song was a huge hit. It's still a staple of classic rock. -

I know you're joking but just the same, Matthew 6:25 (NIV) Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Mine, too. But you gotta get the "man" in there, as in, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?" (Luke 12:14, NIV).

Instant Karma - Beatles "We don't need no education" -
Freakin' awesome song. I believe it was their first album (3rd song). As for "Baby it's You", I love every version I've ever heard, but my favorite is this one. Although it was a hit in 1969, it's still pretty rare. (Quentin Tarantino used it in "Death Proof".) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEs-3zC9zSw&feature=related Waysider: Where do you catch this TP radio show?

Dude, you wrote that? Nice job. Sweet melody. Great job on the banjo.
