Since you guessed you are required to post a song. <_< (You probably would have had it after the one line, I'm guessing?)

1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Just wondering.

Let's take it from the top. (Spoken voice): When I was back there in seminary school There was a person there Who put forth the proposition That you can petition the Lord with prayer (pause) Petition the lord with prayer (pause) Petition the lord with prayer (pause) You CANNOT petition the lord with prayer! (Music starts)

The Mets are actually lowering ticket prices for 2011. Don't choke on your coffee. :) They've been out of bounds since Geroge Steinbrenner inflated salaries in the late 1970s.

I don't want Cliff Lee! The SOB beat us twice last year in the WS. Heck, I hated it when we got Roger Clemens in 1999 -- he was always the enemy! I have to say I think they're all overpaid. I thought Reggie Jackson and Goose Gossage were overpaid when they were making $1 million a year -- and love those guys! I mean, why don't we just give Cliff Lee a billion dollars and be done with it? We the fans pay, no one else.

BTW, Billy Joel just opened up a custom motorcycle shop here in Oyster Bay, Long Island. He's not looking to make money (he's aware of the economic environment), he just loves custom bikes and he loves Oyster Bay. How cool is that? -

I used that one recently. You must not have been paying attention. -
your turn P.S. Anyone who hasn't read the book, should. While the movie is a classic, the book is even better. (In the book, R.P. McMurphy is red-headed Irish brawler and the story is narrated by Chief Bromden. It's great.)

TONIGHT (because I have never been known to miss a potential last game of the World Series even if I don't care who wins, and, because I am rooting for San Franciso to win the series) I will be rooting for...Texas! Why? Just cuz I want to see SF win it all in their own ball park. I don't care to see the disappointed faces of Nolan Ryan (who I respect), or George Bush (who I don't), or Texas fans in general (who I'm sure are lovely people). Nope...I'd rather see the SF fans celebrating in their own back yard. And I'm sure more than a few SF fans (especially the 60 or so thousand who hold tickets to a potential Game 6) are secretly wishing the same thing. And so for that to happen, Texas has to win tonight. (Twisted, huh?) [...during the yankees-mets WS of 2000 I actually rooted against the yanks during one or two games (I'm a Yankees fan 1st) simply so that the series would be extended to seven games. those were the glory days]

Interesting? Groucho, that was freakin awesome! Dead Flowers is one of my favorite Stones songs. The only thing I would say is that, seeing how Mick Jagger wasn't there to sing the lead vocals, they should have let young Hank sing 'em. Or Bryan Adams, maybe. Keith Richard singing the lead on that song is just wrong.

Are any of the former "Hurters" here at GSC?
soul searcher replied to Tzaia's topic in About The Way
I don't know nuthin' about the leadership in TWI, only what I've read and heard. But a former Wayfer chick put a hurt on me big-time. She was Way Corp and all that sh|t, but she wasn't acting in that capacity when she decided to f me over. I can't help but think that I really was more important to her than that VPW scumbag. But, for 20+ years running, he has been winning. Yeah, she apologized. So what? The scar's still there. Whatever. I realize this is an old thread. And I wasn't even in TWI. -

I already watched "The Exorcist" last night. I consider it to be the #1 scariest movie ever. Tonight, I think I'll watch "The Blair Witch Project", which is right up there (maybe #2). Of course, "Night of the Living Dead" is on TV tomorrow ight, but I've seen that a hundred times already. (That's a top 5 horror classic in my book.) "Rocky Horror" is on, too. I might watch that.

The Allmans are one of my favorite bands and Duane is one of my favorite guitarists. Even so, this performance, which I first saw on YouTube about two years ago, was the first time I had ever seen him play. It's amazing. Check it out. P.S. Dicky Betts can kick some a$$ on the guitar, as well.

Yeah, I knew the hints would give it away.

It's not as easy as you might think. It must be from a Beatles song I don't know the lyrics to. Give us a line from the chorus.
