  1. Im thinking denial as a main course with a nice hot side of cognitive dissonance. Good point on denial though.
  2. Cool. As long as u know. cog·ni·tive dis·so·nance /ˈkäɡnədiv ˈdisənəns/ Learn to pronounce noun PSYCHOLOGY the state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change.
  3. Pure, unfounded speculation. This is fantasy land and historically it didn't happen this way at ALL. But that's the problem with wierwille's doctrines. They produce cognitive dissonance because they aren't true - the victim is left struggling to match reality with the lies wierwille pushed and the way international still push. So a false reality is needed to match the garbage wierwille interjected into scripture. You fully see that in action at HQ, everyone running around with a fake smile thinking they are on the frontlines of the spiritual competition, when in fact, they are basically menial labor that's overworked and underpayed. Cognitive dissonance.
  4. But the sure as h3ll know how to kick that can on down the road! Heck, I had to quit the way corps and twi all together to get my questions answered...
  5. Uhhm...please hold your questions until the end of the class...
  6. Likely... Lol I'm a grandfather these days and a lot of my points of references tie back to kids shows.
  7. Man..the devil gets hungry at times. I call it the lamb chop effect. This is the thread that doesn't end ... It goes on and on my friend ... Some people started posting not knowing for how long...and they'll keep right on posting forever just because this is... Ok.sorry for the dirty sock reference...poor lamb chop.
  8. Yeah...makes sense....the man was in a cold dank prison cell and was cold. Isnt it normal to bring someone a book case when they are freezing half to death in a cold dank cell?
  9. Not yet and I live in Cincinnati. My wife and I are planning a Cleveland trip sometime in the near future though and RR-Hall is right at the top of the list. Didn't know about that bass modification though. Sounds cool asf. Before everything went digital it was more fun imho. People were more creative as well, especially playing around with various sounds, instrument modifications, etc. Anywho...lemme get back on topic before I invoke the wrath of Mods. Sounds kinda like Wrath of Kahn...yeah...I gotta get to work now...lol
  10. Great post. I was just as bad...I sold and tossed so much stuff I can never get back. To this day I wish I had the last recording I made before I moved away from NYC and onwards to ministry programs. This particular recording was one where I did a drum machine, bass guitar, keys, accoustic, rhythm and lead guitar (I used a guitar synthesizer for the bass and keys). I felt it was too reflective of my old man nature and too dark to keep. Still kickin myself in the butt. Kinda cool you were able to meet up with your bass guitar... Get a load of this: after I tossed my recordings I sold all my gear. My main guitar, which I sold to a life long friend for $375, turned out to be valuable. This particular guitar was a Les Paul Custom Lite Thin body. It was a gold top with pearl in-lays on the fret board, it was a metallic champagne color, and had pin striping all around the body. It was beautiful. However, it was my main road guitar and I had played it in shows for several years both in LA and NYC. It had been abused. I even mounted the guitar synthesizer directly to the body with a drill and mounting screws. Naturally I thought it was a beater and worth little. WRONG! The friend I sold it to contacted Les Paul and spoke to a rep, giving them the serial number. Turns out I had a collectors item. There were only 2500 made and I had one of them and all that damage I put on that guitar was considered "character" by the collector crowd. It was worth, at the time, between $2,500 to $3,500 --- this was 30 years ago. You can imagine what it could be worth today. Yeah...throwing your life away into an abusive cult is not a good idea.
  11. She is correct. You gotta stay away from those cooties and if someone gives em to you then you gotta give them to someone else so you don't have them anymore.
  12. Yeah...we can definately throw some lo shontas at the postulate.
  13. What in the what in what does actually mean (I do like your "unofficial" explanation btw...lol) and where in the what in what did come from? Sounds like some spiritualism junk...but with wierwille you never know.
  14. Oh..oh...speaking in tongues to build up your holy spirit. You know...the gift God gave to those born again that is perfect when given...needs to be built up...I guess to make it more perfect? They teach it's like spiritual exercises to strengthen your inner man...that's already perfect...oh my I've gone crosseyed
  15. How can you speak in tongues for any reason at all when sit bypasses your cognitive understanding and is supplication to cover things we do not know how/why to pray for? Twi folks always speaking in tongues for someone or something to happen etc...
  16. It was prophetic....ok....nah.,...just messing around...im gonna go now.... All joking aside...I had no idea that was in any of st vics classes and it absolutly freaking comical a Dr. of anything (he wasnt really a Dr) made that statement.
  17. Yes it is. Absolutely. Been a focus of my studies for a while now...except I no longer study the way I used to...Im a little more balanced and somewhat intermittent. So Im taking my time and enjoying the ride.
  18. Yeah....I think Elmer Fudd was the original canon compiler...probably replaced by Daffy Duck until Jerome came along and shuffled the deck. Im sure before Jerome the canon was in perfect authratative order with itself as the defining authority. Only makes sense...lo shonta....
  19. Yes, I am addressing text types based on this: This is why I got specific and sorta went off topic a little because it's no mystery what happened to the writings that eventually were compiled into our Biblical Canon. It is a fascinating topic and one I have studied extensively. But it's hard to get into the Canon and not get into texts since the texts are what were circulated during the first century. Although, getting too specific is definitely off topic.
  20. You make it sound like this trail is lost to the ages. There were two main locations geographically in the first century for that were basically "centers" for Christianity - Alexandria and Antioch. Alexandria was rife with Gnostiscism and almost as soon as they got their hands on an epistle from the Apostles they rewrote it and infused it with Gnostiscism. From this line of Greek Texts can be traced Codex Sinaticus/Codex Vatacanis which were the two main texts used by Westcott and Hort in the 18th century. Antioch was Paul's main center and the Christians there took great care to preserve the intergrety of Apostolic writings. This line of texts trace to the Textus Receptus and of course KJV, Geneva, et al. Bibles were translated in to English from these texts. Last time I tried to tell you this you gave some smart a$$, dismissive comment about the devil whispering in my ear when I quoted you verifiable history.
  21. Dig that...that's why I got beta ways to spend .my time...got beta cents than that. Psycho alpha disco beta bio-aqua do loop...got me quoting George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelics now .. yeah
