    I absolutely loved her voice but can attest to the ego and artist personalities that most all way productions develop and exhibit. I hope she broke free of the way international though. I know I was very conceited when I was way corps and needed and received and appropriate attitude adjustment from life after leaving the way international. Im a vastly different person than I was and for the better as well. Hopefully, she has had similar experiences and is walking in newness of life as well, I wish her all the best. But Im not discounting what you mentioned either and feel it's spot on.

    Good point, you got me thinking that whether the figure is legit or not the way international sure used them to try and redefine scripture to suit their own ends. Without a doubt.

    Ahh...the most disjointed, wordy, redundant writing Ive ever had in my hands: The Rise and Expansion of the Christian Church. The book that stated the book of Acts was a blueprint for the Church, which it is nothing of the sort. A blueprint is rigid and based on established building practices and building codes. Acts shows Christ founding his Church and working in and with his people carrying out the will of God. It follows along two main lines, Peter, the leader of the Judean or Jewish Church and Paul who was the leader of the gentile Church. The book is very fluid and shows Christ and his Church propagating and rising to the occasion no matter what happened. Anywho....the figure of speech you mention Chockfull is symperasma, or concluding summary and Martindale's book is basically structured along those 8 summaries. The summaries are supposed to be milestones that the way international crossed along the way to the "So mightily grew the Word of God and prevailed!" So they renamed everthing from "---- over the world" to "----prevailing ---- ----" and actually they are back to "over the world" -- for example "word over the world". That Acts is divided along these summarising concluding statements is I think somewhat obvious, but the book is clearly not a blueprint. Thats interesting on the entire AOS and how that morphed and was taken to the extreme by Martindale. Vic created a monster in his own image.     After reading along I have to say I agree 100%. As someone who excelled in the way international (and I mean excelled - I was one of the most commited zealots you woulda been able to find) participated in every program, took every class, studied daily 3 to 4 hours at a time most evenings and weekends, etc, I can completely relate to the ego and attitude you describe. And I was so very childish at the time, all the while thinking I was some superioir spiritual superman on account of all of my zealous efforts. Christianity is affected, or perhaps infected, to a lesser degree but still symptomatic to say the least. Personally, it was when I actually humbled myself before Christ and cast aside all the religiosity and man made accolades, positions, status, all that garbage that I was able to actually change from my previous state to a much more rounded individual. A true relationship with the Father and His son is antitethitical to the undesireable egotistical attributes of said spiritual athletes because God resists the proud. Its fair to say I ran into resistance along the way...lol.

    Mike compartimentalizes as well as rationalizes to no end. He speaks of VPW's old man nature as if it's seperate from the man himself. Wierwille's job is the same as any Christian, crucify or put to death the old man with his deeds and walk in newness of life, the new man, etc. Be led of the Spirit. Had wierwille lived a virtous life we wouldnt have a GS cafe. Ill say it again for those in the back: Church leaders, Reverends, clergy, pastors, whatever title you wanna choos all have the responsibility to set the example of what they teach by how they live. The exmaple wierwille set was one of satisfying the flesh: living on donations, excess drinking/drunkeness, molesting and seducing young women as well as married women all the while he had his own wife, stole most all of his materials from others, etc. Mike acts like its our fault because we noticed.

Everytime I goto the ocean of doubt Im always looking for the last resort... Fun place to vacation...next year Im thinking of going to Ostrich Beach....was there many moons ago when I was in the way international...the following is an actual picture of me and my fellowship searching truth out of the pflap and the collaterals.

    Mike is his own case study on how one can expect people from the way international to respond when they are faced with civil disagreement. I remember well what it was like to be so dang convinced that I am absolutely 100% correct on most things to do with the Bible, and by golly, the way international provided air tight "research"...yeah...they call it proven ministry research indicating that the topics are above question. Proven ministry research is considered absolute truth. Such an arrogant position. So typically, and we see it with mike, when one debates with someone blinded by wierwille-ism they almost always resort to bullying tactic, (ad-hominem attacks, passive agressive insults, even loud and boisterous yelling and screaming like a spoiled child, etc) if they can't dominate the conversation and browbeat those they debate with into submission. So when confronted with the illogic and gaping holes in wierwille's materials they come to a crossroads: give in to the cognitive dissonance caused by wierwille's doctrines and what the Bible actually teaches and run like h377 back to wierwille's doctrines or they can actually turn aside and consider other's points of view. Should this honest route be chosen then they would do as the Bereans and search the scriptures daily whether these things are so. Mike, et al., typically choose the run to wierwille route and resort to all sorts of slanderous insults, playing the victim, etc. Why the animosity? Because they are caught in an us verses them mentality that the way international builds into their adherants. Without the us verses them schtik the wierwille's entire story falls apart on yet another front....I mean it's allready falllen apart on so many angles, I guess another set of stress fractures won't hurt anything. Mike's word choices and several posts he put up today absolutely reek with an attitude of superiority and it's obvious he thinks everone who posts here is posessed, living in outer darkness, or whatever imagined scary scenario exists outside of the way international. Cult mentality, then they have their own jargon and way speak that makes little sense outside of a home fellowship where most people throw way speak around to each other as if actually makes any sense to begin with. Thank the Lord Jesus Christ that he has delivered me from the way international and their toxic doctrines that hide Christ and elevate a drunken, narcissistic, idol that they choose instead of Christ.

    Well, if it rubbed your rhubarb so to speak then boundaries are healthy. Sometimes it seems in my life that I set boundaries first and then try and find common ground, sometimes, but not always. Peace! Glad you are posting around here BTW, had no idea you lurked so faithfully and for so long. Seems youve given me a run for my money. I lurked a good number of years before finally posting here. Ive been active at times and other times not so much.

    Late 40s with teenaged kids. Bolsh may come across as uneducated on GSC for one reason or another but is quite educated. So, he is a personal friend of mine and Ive known him since 2001 at least. He's had a rough go of it and that shows through at times. I don't agree with his assessment of GSC and told him as much, but I guess he has some agenda or another to ruing GSC, so be it. He will have to take a number and wait in line on that note.

    Mike, you exemplify the caged mind of a man captured by a false prophet, who's legacy is an abusive, controlling cult. I felt the same way when I was in the way international because I believed their lie that there is nothing better out there. And that's esentially what you are saying and then somehow thinking our lives are messed up because we are no longer in TWI but actively speak against TWI? My life has NEVER been better. So keep telling yourself that mess cause you have to in order to continue in your self imposed rut.

    So your saying there are no lurkers? I lurked around here for years before leaving TWI in 2008 and when I started positing here in 2009. Beguiled just said he lurks around here and seldom posts but every few years. Im with T-Bone. I will contine to rebut mike's points of view. GSC helped free me from the clutches of the way international, an abusive cult and most all of that was done when I was lurking but too high profile in TWI to post. Heck, I worked and was close with WayGB while I was at HQ and regularly say the stacks of printed out pages of grease spot cafe that he was preparing for rosalie because she wouldnt use computers. So, I couldnt post here or he woulda known it was me hands down. You can bet your level best that the way international still has people watching this site. They are looking for anything they can use to shut GSC down, and that Im willing to take to the bank. I will readily debate anyone coming on this site with pro-way international posts and I do it to keep the forums from becoming an unintelligible mess, which seems to be the goal for some folks.

    Nobody would be able to focus on Victor Paul wierwilles old man nature had he actually put to death the old man with his deeds. He lived in his old man nature for all to see....u upset we noticed? If he was walking in the spirit he wouldn't have been molesting young women who expected a man if God and not a wolf in sheep's clothing with eyes full of adultery....nor a Drambuie sipping greedy drunk.

    In spite of being accused of being a hatefilled individual who only concentrates on victor paul wierwille's sin nature, I am as honest as possible in what I post and will readily admit error. I give him the benefit of the doubt only because I can't say for certain but have very high suspicions from my own personal experiences. BTW - the humor is not lost on me and my post is not really aimed at you waysider...were on the same page...

    And I will say that for alcoholics accurate memories can be a huge problem, as we all know Im am a recovering alcoholic. Drunkenness not only incapacitates it wrecks a person's memory where details are fuzzy. So his drinking may have been a contributing factor.

    Right on! Definately does and he likely learned this little tactic from way international leadership methods. The information control efforts in the way international is beyond belief to outsiders. So much confidentiality; I guess they hate sunshine.
