  1. Dig that...same here...cause back in the day things might go flying that were habitually un-cooperative...lmao
  2. Responding to both posts but only quoted one. Man o man I love the pics...the work you did on that burnt orange bass is phenominal. Love it when artists persoanlize their musical instruments..awesome stuff! You still digging the Korg effect board? I just gave my son my old guitar, amp, and Digitech RP355...Ill use his stuff if I ever play live again, but for now I push everything through my computer and use two speakers I purchased for it when I want to use an amp versus headphones. Eventually I will be less digital and get back to more of a traditional set up. I think the castors on the amp just shows a high level of intelligence...nobody trying to lift that thing...Ive had several Peaveys and they were NEVER light. I got a pretty good chuckle out of your saga with amps/headphones and happy wife happy life....curious how that works...love the slippers, keep em... This the same one, or similar? https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-802-Premium-8-Input-Preamps/dp/B000J5XS3C
  3. Heres one zoomed out showing the deadning panels, window, pic, guitar, vocal mic, desk...I need to get some blackout curtains for amibiance....about to get a large corner desk. My home has hardwood throughout so the panels were VITAL because otherwise it just echos the heck out of anything one would play. I have those panels on all four walls in various patterns for decoration, but more importantly to make the room useable. Also have a grey area rug on the floor that helps too.
  4. Dude...I love that guitar...I bet it sounds freaking AWESOME...sometimes those Frakenstein creations are the absolute best because it's totally you at this point. Love the color too...that's beautiful. Ill post up a few pics of my studio...it's still pretty barebones but I have a lot of sound deading panels that are color coordinated to the new guitar and all....again...thank/blame Mrs. OldSkool...lol
  5. Oh, your not behind at all...im literally figuring this stuff out as I go...and I have senior moments from time to time....like realizing my Behringer audio interface has a on off switch for 48v....It's for microphones but it changed my guitar sound completely once activated. Glad to hear you are getting some inspiration...I really struggle with that part and need all I can get...so you are inspiring me to stay on the right track...no pun intended...lol
  6. Love Zappa, fan from waqy back... The guitar is gray/black...the colors are a touch distorted in the pic. I didn't mean to do it this way, but my office/studio has a gray and black thing going on. Ill put a few pics up...mostly thank my wife cause Im like you T-Bone...me n colors yeah...lol
  7. Good point...we're never gonna stay on topic anyway..lol Welcome back! Sorry to hear your computer croaked...that's a little more than mildly unpleasant.
  8. Oh snap, I didn't realize there were two. When I left in 2008 the one in the auditorium was still there, to the right of the main doors to the auditorium. And yes, for anyone thinking Chockfull is joking about that bronze statue sitting on desks all across way international clergy land: He isnt! That is actual and factual.
  9. Interesting to consider this as well....can these stories about vic really be believed. Well...I think "I wish I had been the man I knew to be" and "He was a mean man" are factual. I understand the first quote to be a deathbed confession and the other was made by his wife. So my point is that there could be a hefty amount of myth with some truth thrown into the mix for good measure. wierwille was certainly gifted with the dramatic and he seemed to be good at leading people into parallels that had him on par with Biblical figures such as David, etc. Really interseting to consider in this light.
  10. Thats interesting to consider in light of sneaking boundaries incrementally from where God would have us place said boundaries. I think it makes sense to say that you are your values. Everyone has values, even if the values a person espouses is to have no values. A lot of conflict in life arises from values and choosing the source of these values: God/Christ or Satan/various worldly disciplines. (Disclaimer: I realize that is a rather fundamentalist sounding contrast when it comes to values - there are many secular disciplines that have nothing to do with God or Satan...so theres that) A persons conscience is determined by their values. I think that makes a lot of sense. In the case of satanic values it's do whatever you want and that's the end of it. In such a case I would expect no conscience condemning anything cause everything is alright. Wierwille had no conscience that I am aware of.... That's an interesting dichotomy. Lets check it from the two possibilites you mentioned. Ive been thinking about this a lot in this context since reading it early this morning. Im thinking that all of this poor ole me crap could be a combination of a couple things...first off, alcoholics love pity. There is a pithy little saying in Alcoholics Anonamous (Im not in AA but talk with my uncle frequently who has 40 years in AA) that goes like this: "Poor me...poor me... pour me another drink! I believe vic was a functioning alcoholic. That a person hasn't lost the ability to function doesn't mean they aren't an alcoholic or even an end stage alcoholic. All of us drink differently but it's the same disease. So this sort of thing with vic could be symptomatic of the disease. or/and/or/and ...hehe...the sympathy card could be an old, attention loving creep's ploys for attention. I wasn't around then, but if passing of a patriarch is to be believed, then vic had been put out to pasture and outshined by Martindale...maybe vic was ready to let the responsibility go but not the spotlight...That would explain all the pity potty garbage that came out of him towards the end of his life. It seemed like he was still politicking and trying to draw people away and to himself, except he now had given the spotlight to his successor, and his successor had grown beyond his control and was starring in Dancing with the Spirits...lol...aka...Athletes of the Spirit... This is possible as well and it may be that all of these are contributing factors to one degree or another, hard to say 100% but it's intersting to consider all of this together. Maybe vwierwille really did believe his own BS, maybe he was working with seducing spirits who convinced him they were God. It's possible he really did believe his own lies and tried to put the law of believing into play to cure himself. I tried to heal my son using the law of believing and failed misereably. I recount that fully in the link I posted to OldSkools two cents. It's possible he really was, finally, hit head with a dilemma of his own making. If he really believed all the bullshonta he spewed then it's a real possibility he was going through what I went through. Cognitive dissonance. I mean serious mental/emotional agitation because reality cant be controlled the way you believed it could. That will lead you to question yourself and everything you ever believed. If you don't consider the fact that your doctrines are in error then the only people left to blame are yourself and/or others.
  11. Its intersting that you posted a series of very clear scriptures warning about these matters and it took absolutely NO biblical research, just open the Bible -- and read it! Thanks for the verses. I enjoyed reading them and they are most appropriate to the topic. Lately my approach has been a top down, slightly to the left, then hook straight around the curve, take the first right on the left and BAM! your at Aunt Sheniqua's house.
  12. It was like this but lifesize and the glasses were in the outstretched hand. So....yes....they have a bronzed MOGFODAT! https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/original-1991-dr-victor-paul-1889151999
  13. Actual...all bull shonta aside. They even put his eye glasses in his hand...
  14. They made that life size bronze statue of wierwille they keep in the lobby of the auditorium.
  15. Thanks! That new strat is my baby. I didn't have to do much at all when it was delivered. Truss rod adjustment and raise the pickups a little. It plays freaking great. Action is awesome...and with the H S H pickup configuration I can get all those tasty blues tones that SRV, John Mayer, etc, use and that we have all come to love. Heres a pic of it...guitar porn...lol...j/k. https://ibb.co/5c94DrF
  16. Yeah....Im down...can I still reharse dreadful TWI tropes though? I mean sometimes I just can't help myself...lmao. Im a really good window clener...my daddy was a window cleaner...his daddys daddy was too...pee paw was a window cleaner...
  17. LaVey and most modern day occultist pull heavily from Crowley. So, it could be either and/or both that you quoted. When I lived out in Hollywood I took a series of lectures/classes from an occultist named George Derby. (in 1992) He helped run an occult shop in Hollywood that is still in existence today, although they have moved locations. Panpipes: https://panpipes.com/ George Derby referenced here: https://religionnews.com/2000/01/01/news-feature-hollywoods-sought-after-sorcerer-has-no-use-for-hocus-pocus/ One of Derby's understudies that I have no connection whatsoever: http://voyagela.com/interview/meet-salvatore-n-santoro-crooked-path-burbank/ It was George Derby who added the clause "as long that it doesn't hurt anyone to the do as thou wilt quote from Crowley/LaVey, cause they both taught that junk. I don't know if Derby added it himself, if it was implied all along from Crowley to make it more palatable, or if someone else added and Derby quoted them. To be clear, as far as I know LaVey and Crowley didn't qualify that statement. So, in all actuality, to many people "do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" has no niceness clause built into it the way I was taught. Also, Derby and I had no relationship other than me taking his classes and the times I talked to him when I was in Panpipes..which in 91/92 was often but we werent buddies. Personally, I feel that the self centered satanic doctrines that wierwille followed produce a complete lack of empathy or sympathy. They clearly sear one's conscience. The occult is all about fulfiling the lusty desires of the flesh to the fullest. It's all about the stongest survive and thrive. Their beliefs include "do unto others as they do unto you"...."If someone smite you on one cheek smash him on the other...blow for blow...scorn for scorn"...and it goes on down the line. What you see in wierwille at the end of his life is a seared conscience, a man who was truly past feeling any remorse for his wrongs. Understand, that this type of thing happens incrementally. The boundaries get pushed little by little without a person realizing the boundaries are moving. At the end of the day the person following these occultic doctrines (whether garbed in Christian trappings or not) is blind to their own error and feels little to nothing for their actions. Cause none of it matters. There's no consequence in their minds. I was neck deep in this garbage. Thankfully, by the Lord's grace, I am delivered by Christ's works of forgiveness, healing and love.
  18. Hey you! I do have high hopes that one of these days you get to take a trip to the dark side of the moon but you dont have the time.
  19. Thanks...when considering song titles I became frustrated reaing around the record jacket. I then took my 3000 record collection to the city dump....afterwards I checked into a hotel eating nothing but a diet of grapes and BAM! It occured to me...crazy...no?
  20. Thanks! Love the monologue though....very cool.
  21. I love Tyson post boxing era....hes not only funny but he seems to have overcome a lot of personal demons and is somewhat more settled out from his earlier days.
  22. Well...this took a little longer than expecte because stupid me bought a new guitar...really nice strat with a H S H pickup configuration. It's set up now and I love it. Gave my old rig to my son who was GEEEEEKED to get it...probably gonna buy a PRS next... https://cloud.disroot.org/s/ktFsypYFgzA9TeC
  23. I had forgotten about his made up examples, thanks for introducing those into the mix! They are excellent examples of what I want to illustrate with this topic. I have read the Satanic Bible many times over...well...at least up until around 1990 when I decided to never pick it up again. Lavey quoted Aleister Crawley in this case. The will of the magician is the center of the magician's universe in the occult. Then there is what Crawley basically set in stone across occult world "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law". Basically, do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone else. There is no right or wrong...sound like someone we know? Victor paul wierwille counselling his sexual victims to keep it all in the lockbox,....everything is ok as long as your believing is fine....yeah. It's interesting the way these topics make me feel...I am so ashamed that I was involved in the occult...this isn't a comfortable topic and it's wierd exposing this side of my life. But I will hold nothing back and let my errors serve as a warning to others.
  24. This is an awesome point. He can readily observe the same errors VPW lived and taught in other cult leaders from other groups but not VPW/TWI. Mike is not-so-subtly trying to take the attention to craig martindale, this gurgendorf guy who has not connection, and the awful way corps that ruined everything st vic set in place. (I seem to remember somehwere...was it Passin of a Patriacrh?...where vic was blaming the way corps for everything going wrong?) Mike will do anything to get the attention off of VPW. Same with the way international. They let craig take the fall for all the rampant adultery and other sexual issues that were rampant in TWI when in reality it was victor paul wierwille that corrupted craig martindale. Not that craig didn't make it his own, but to let him take all the heat is dishonest as all get out.
  25. Dude....you are the champ....I cant even compete with that ...I feel like I just picked a fight with Mike Tyson...
