  1. Considering Josephus was at Jerusalem during the first Jewish revolt (66-70A.D.) I wouldnt expect him to extoll a Jewish messiah in anyway shape or form, especially one known as the King of the Jews because he was there with the Romans. He wouldve had a hard way to go on that one. History is written by the victors and is as biased as anything else. Josephus was a slave to Vespasian, Titus father. Josephus defected to Rome and was granted citizenship by Vespasian. But I wouldnt expext a historian with that sort of pressure on him to maintain pro-Romish views in his historical accounts to say much about Jesus.
  2. Ahhhhh...she might have been...she might have been...I told her we needed red drapes.
  3. I have somewhat of a storied life...meaning I have some crazy stories. I've been hit by moving cars a total of four times in my life. It happened twice on Hollywood Blvd. Once I got creamed on my bicycle, then I got creamed worse crossing Hollywood Blvd at night at Whitley Ave. I can honestly say I had never visualized myself getting smacked nir was I afraid it would happen.
  4. No doubt. I had my inroads. There was an Armenian restaurant right on Hollywood Blvd that let me pay them on Fridays so I could eat lunch during the week. They had the best spinach lasagna to this day for me.
  5. Thankfully yes...I was one broke 19 y/o mother trucker back in the day when being broke was cool...
  6. All that education and I betcha she does little more than nodd in agreement with the old white dudes.
  7. Its anyone's guess as to what race/mix of races he wouldve been. Im not even taking a stab at that one, but suffuce it to say the odds of Jesus having been a fairskinned European guy with brownish flowing hair are probably slim to none.
  8. Bottom line is Mike is admitting that what the way international teaches on miracles doesnt work and he wants to blame others for it's failure.
  9. I was hooked into Scientology before the way inernational. I lived in Hollywood CA for a few years when I was in my late teens, early twenties and used to walk past the Dianetics building near the corner of McCadden and Hollywood Blvd. They always had people on the street trying to lure passerbys in. So I took their tests and went down to their Scientology center further east on Sunset Blvd. Anywho, I was a few weeks in and met with an Auditor and was ready to go....clear sounded like a good place to be at the time...that was until they asked for $2,500 for a registration fee and to cover the first few sessions....my broke, 19 y/o self ran for the door so fast...lol
  10. Well unless God has to limit the adversary, them to be fair to Diabolos, he limits himself at the expense of his people.
  11. Lemme get this straight....lets say that I am terminally ill and in need of a miracle because otherwise Im gone and im a single father raising 5 kids on my own and they all goto foster care should I pass. Hypothetical situation, but in a siutuation such as my hypothetical you are saying God limits himslelf to a certain unspecified number of miracles and does no more so he can limit the devil? So, as far as God is concerned I can go die so he can limit the devil and stay under budget?
  12. Its also another majorly stupid policy for running Lord knows how many people the heck away from the way international. They just can't seem to get it right. They bums rush and policy as many people out the doors as they can then send a postcard asking people to come home? Head trip...no?
  13. Oh any time you see my little green faced smiley guy, rest assured that I am being a smart donkey.
  14. Crazy you should mention that. I mean a lease is a contract to pay each month what is owed in full, thus qualifying as debt, but a lease has a stated term and that term is typicall short. So it really couldnt be that it was "debt" in and of itself that was in the directors craw back then. Im thinking it boiled down to dwindling numbers in the way corps and way disciple, or whatever other outreach program was running at the time and a "prevailing" reason given by those who were pressured but declined to participate is "well,I cant just up and leave my mortgage." And onwards it went...I dont know that for sure, its speculation. But I have learned that most times with these bone heads that once you have enough pieces of the puzzle you can pretty much figure it out.

  16. It didn't work for Mike either, but the difference you can humbly admit wierwilles doctrines failed where Mike is still trying to figure out what we t wrong. Wierwilles version of Christianity is so very formulaic...so trying to figure out what went wrong one has to carefully check each component of the formula. Of course the main component that gets blamed is us...those who made the mistake of following a false prophet. The correct way to rebound from failure in such matters is turn to God with a humble heart, ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall be opened.
  17. I shoulda read Mike's post close...he's already blamed "us" for the law of believing failing.
  18. Sounds like you ran into the same issues I had with the law of believing. Tithing/ABS doesnt work the manner in which the way international teaches no more than the law of believing. When the law of believing failed in my life it was obvious who's fault it was according to TWI: Mine. They most always blame the person doing what they teach for not doing it good enough...or whatever the excuse Du' Juor is. I mean you can see Mike running the same circles here on GSC. Its always that we dont get it, or we missed it, or whatever...never question the doctrine....wierwille said it works so the words of a liar rule the day for these guys.
