  1. I believe all of the board of directors draw marginal salaries. Rumor has it from those "in the know" that Rosalie is loaded with family money. It seems her family owned /owns? many acres of wooded property in North Carolina and were paid to allow timber to be harvested. I am sure there is more to the stories. But I believe she is a very high net-worth individual.
  2. A few years ago they had the international outreach department start working with some of the internationals students to make sure they wore deodorant to the advanced class.
  3. That is the cost of insurance they have with Medical Mutual of Ohio. For some reason they have a self-funded plan. Go figure.? The plan itself really sucks and has a very low lifetime maximum. If you are a staffer and run out your lifetime max they will show you how to sign up for Medicaid. It's my guess that everyone on staff more than qualifies for Medicaid. So that means everyone on Staff is within 200% of the federal poverty level. http://jfs.ohio.gov/ohp/consumers/HSHFIncomeGuidelines.pdf R1c0 M@gn3ll1 once told me that God put social programs like Medicaid in place to bless the believers. I'm not banging on Medicaid, it can help folks who need it.
  4. Uh, no. This is like having a picture of the Holiest of Holies on public record for all to see.
  5. It would be my guess that we could guesstimate the amount of money they paid to settle the Allen lawsuit by comparing the records from 99, 200, 01. Any takers? :biglaugh:
  6. The internet is an amazing thing. Some years ago I picked up internet search as a hobby. You would be surprised what you can find! You may even find financial disclosure statements. Enjoy! You can compare year on year since 1996 looking at the scanned documents. Here is my source: http://starpas.azcc.gov/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wsbroker1/names-detail.p?name-id=F00256060&type=CORPORATION
  7. I don't remember Advanced Class grads having work to do, but I would not be surprised if that happened closer to the book's release date and before I became involved. However, it was mandatory reading on either my candidate or apprentice year when I was going through the in-residence corpse training. I doubt it is anymore. They have tried to scrub The Forehead from as much as possible. On a side note they developed a slide show detailing the history of the way international. They played it at an advanced class special for the first time, in 2002 I think. Now they play it at the advanced class each summer. Anyway, it spends lots of time on Victor Paul Wierwille and when it gets to The Forehead it is like a dishonorable mention. It's only a sentence or two. When I saw it, they were using a photo of his installation (or ordination) and his back is turned to the crowd. Victer Paul and Don Wierwille were laying hands on him and it looked like Victor Paul was prophesying on him. Then they moved on. It was comical.
  8. Yes, they had it a John Bryan State Park in Greene County one year and the finished up with a DUO session is the wooded lot behind founders hall. They were planning to do them at Gunnison as well, I do not think John Bryan was a permanent move, but perhaps it's changed again since I left. And yes, Ed H@rn3y was involved in the session at John Bryan state park.
  9. Sorry, Pawtucket. In the last several years they set up email servers. Of course email and internet usage is "for legitimate business purposes only." The domain is @theway.org Most times you can add the persons name before the domain. However, even if you are able to send them an email I would not expect a response. They insulate themselves on purpose. They do not deal well with challenges.
  10. Well, Rosalie believes that computers make people fast and sloppy. Plus, and I ain't making this up, there is something special that happens when one uses a pen and paper.
  11. This same department does all of it's editing and proofreading with pencil and paper. There were only two computers in the department that were used for typing memos, calendars, and job tracking.
  12. The housekeeping department. I wouldn't be surprised if the have IRWC doing some of the work. They teach that scrubbing the toilets is a privilege. So polishing brass in the PWA is like and uber privilege.
  13. See, you could have be sub-contracting their services....
  14. She was married several years before she became involved in the way international.
  15. In the near future I will be posting some of the inner workings of the way internationals publication departments. I have a very close friend who is no longer in and worked in one of these departments for years. To start with lets consider text citations. Text citations are common in scholarly works, especially research works. In fact they are a requisite. Anyone, and I do mean anyone, who has ever had to write a thesis for a *real* doctorate's degree would know that. ( I guess Pike's Peak Seminary had no such requirements ) A text citation would look like this (Stiles, 1953). The citation directs the reader to the reference list or bibliography at the end of the book. Ok, most if not all departments at the way international's headquarters boast that they are amongst the best in the world in their respective fields. With such a boastful claim from a supposed research ministry one would expect their publications departments to the the best, of the best, of the best! But the publications departments at the way international does not even know how to produce a proper bibliography. The following quote should prove enlightening: I guess this is no surprise from a sham "research" ministry. It's amazing how Victor Paul Wierwille claimed to take the "truths" from everybody he learned from and put it together into one complete package of truth, yet not document his sources! Oh, wait, that's right. He threw his 3,000 book library into the city dump and then just read the bible after reading around it for so long. So which is it? Or maybe, like Simon the Sorcerer, he wanted everyone to think he was the great power of God. I guess his legacy is alive and well since they don't bother to cite sources, or even know how to make a bibliography. Oh I forgot to mention that the department coordinator for this department frequently taught that "the world" cuts corners to get their publications done fast, but they don't cut corners to make their publications "the best."
  16. I know it's old news but I've always loved the classics.
  17. I was just reading over at this website http://www.uia.net/~messiah7/sut_sxinterogrev.htm and wanted to repost some information that I am sure the way international would prefer to be buried. I will post an excerpt. Thanks to Dr. John Juedes for putting this site together. There are many who have not come across this information and believe that Rosalie is a truthful person. They also believe that by settling the Allen lawsuit that a major attack of the adversary was thwarted. In fact, when the announcement was made at headquarters during a noon meal that there was a summary judgment and that there was a settlement reached I distinctly remember the wave of celebration that erupted. Loud applause and tears of relief. I remember sitting there mad because I understood in part what a settlement meant. It meant that the way international was willing to spend a very exorbitant amount of money to silence the details of the Allen lawsuit. But they should know that you can't silence the truth.
  18. That's because the adversary had you guys distracted. :biglaugh: Now get your spiritual goals in order! I will post up some more information a little later. I do remember that adultery was a big no-no in that class though as was pre-marital sex.
  19. Ya, I was considering the shape things are in today and I guess I didn't really give credit to the forehead and others for wrecking the gravy train. One could surmise that had they followed wierwille's lead a little better in appearance then it would still be on the rails.
  20. I would not be surprised a bit....but......looks like that little strategy backfired. There's hardly anyone left and Rosalie still talks all the bull about a faithful remnant....
  21. Last I knew it was Bob and Dottie and there were no in-residence corps there on a regular basis. I think they do lead out there now so obviously the campus is still somewhat used by the in-residence corpse. Gunnison was being used as a vacation spot for believers. They also were running classes from there as well. Camps. That's what they called some of the events.
