Now jane, please refrain from using common sense when it comes to all things wayfer.

Well, so many people who have had the mis-fortune to pass through the shallowed halls of the way international have been confronted by this cult with a similar question when they did not make it to a service and were accused of mischief. A question that I thought I would pose so we could finally answer this question once and for all. (and have a few laughs in the process). So, Grease Spotter, why wouldn't you want to attend the service?

Well, you may have debunked a little something I held in esteem about him. I believe he was in radio before coming to the way international. I can't say that he ever had any certifications in Carnegie. I'm not sure, given their track record , that the way international can be made to not look stupid. I understand she just doesn't like men....period. Especially men who are a little rowdy and have an opinion that they dare to voice with any conviction. ROFLMAO!! That's classic.

Censoring yourself is right. Makes a person wonder how all the different layers of keeping it "positive" affect a person psychologically over the years. The way international's law of believing garbage twists a person badly enough because you wouldn't want to make a negative confession. So many times I have seen people approach situations they were involved and go straight into denial that they were facing something serious. Even Abraham considered carefully what God said concerning his promises - that Abraham was 100 years old, and the deadness of Sarah's womb. Of course that is taught like he ignored the facts. The lawsuit angle is interesting. I really think Rozilla, and her lawyers have spent the last 10 years or so trying to make the way international bullet proof to another lawsuit. Not that they have stopped illegal activity, just want to be able to stand up in court beyond a reasonable doubt. It all seems so sleeze-ball. On the other hand if you aren't littered with questionable practices would really be anything to worry about? Anyhoo, time to go write in my journal... Dear Journal, Today was just prevailing...

I know, right. Yet on the subscription for the way ragazine they state something about "a consistent diet of energized truth." I can smell the BS from here.

You'r Favorite Example of Way International Double Talk.
OldSkool replied to OldSkool's topic in About The Way
Perhaps this is another example of taking a simple idea and obfuscating it for the sake of seeming intelligent? The common usage of the word "all" naturally, at times, limits it to all within a certain classification. I.E. "She ate all the ice cream." Now this is where Vicster comes in and says "She didn't eat all the ice cream in the world! She ate all the ice cream that was in her little quart container! Heh - you had to see it in the original." And we all ewww and ahhh and are just so electrified. But even if we say all the people are saved and we mean all the people it's still limited by classification - people! How bout it.? -
When I was in-rez, Bolch@lk taught public speaking and did a really good job. It's part of his professional background. The STS and way ragazine are butchered by another process entirely. Unless a person is extremely seasoned at public speaking, they will have trouble reading their teaching word for word like we all tended to do. And this is exactly the effect of the process Rosalie has employed to control what is said has had on the way international's products. Absolutely devoid of any meaningful substance and presentations that have been neutered. She calls it being a spokesman for God. She thinks and teaches that her efforts have made the teachings from the way international timeless. On one hand I have to agree. 50 years from now someone will look back and talk about how bad they all sucked, same as we do now. She would have to leave her offices (1 in the OSC, 1 in the PWA, and probably a few others floating around) and the comforts of Foxhaven, her little hacienda, to do that. That isn't about to happen. So she will settle for having just a few people in the way ministry. You know they are a remnant. Like that's a good thing?

Luke, I believe.

Yep. They hate even worse when older way corps request to be near their aged parents to help take care of them. Citing let the city bury the dead. Cold as ice I say.

Aramaic NT Origins (The HRV)
OldSkool replied to James Trimm's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Well, it's good to hear that they are good for something. <_< -
Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. I'm not really looking to join the fray. I consider a lot of these posts doctrinal and prefer to avoid doctrinal discussions of any length at this time. With that said, I have spent too much time reading the scriptures as Christ coming to fulfill the law and succeeding and ushering in a new covenant without law. This new covenant contains a period where God's dealings with Isreal according to promises made in the Old covenant are suspended and the gentiles are included in the promises by being Sons of Abraham by faith (trust) in accepting Jesus as Lord and believing God raised him from the dead. I do believe that this period of time will terminate with rapture and at that time God, via Jesus Christ, will fulfill all of his promises and reinstate his dealings with Isreal that are left unfinished because they rejected Messiah. Some of those beliefs were developed during my time in the way international, though I do NOT give them credit for them since they are widely taught by many churches and are plain in context from reading the bible. I have no desire to be brought under anyone's teachings that I am to keep the law. No man can keep the law except the one who fulfilled it - Jesus Christ. If I keep part of it I am obligated to keep all of it. I will accept the grace of God and am willing to stand before the Lord's judgment on what I understand from reading new covenant scripture.

Well the difference is Duet 6:4 (NIV) says "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. [a] 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." and Jesus added (unless I missed this from the OT.. Luke 10:27 (New International Version) He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

I still wanna know who voted "Hell Yeah"

Not to my knowledge. I hate(d) the term as well, It is VERY creepy. But you are told it's they are spiritual partners because you pray for them and minister to them each month via your's monthly newsletter. Form letters are a no-no, even though most do them anyway. But there were people around when I was there who had around 40 or so letters to write each month. Then the corpse coordinator will say things like "how well you take care of your spiritual partners shows how well you will take of people in your branch after you graduate!" It's very weird. The way international can't even have monies given on another's behalf without sending the whole experience to the twilight zone.

Yes! I felt degraded to have to do them. They were not me nor something I would share but to continue in the programming I had to fill my mouth with their garbage and spew it out during a supposed vacation, that was never a vacation since we were always in training.

I believe that way international has been considered a cult for years. I remember stories of old "way back" from the seventies of people being kidnapped and deprogrammed. In fact, I remember Rosalie bragging about the way international being dropped from one of the books that had it listed as a cult. In hindsight, the way international was probably dropped from that resource for being too insignificant to matter even though they are still a cult. -
Damn, that familia really left it's mark on so many people. It could be the only proof we were ever involved in that cult. Familia - Breakfast of Cult-champions! But, seriously waysider, that put things in perspective and had me belly laughing at the same time.

God Bless you powerfully in the prevailingly wonderfully name of Jesus Christ, our livingly loving living lord and tremendous saviour! My name is OldSkool and this is my wife Mrs. OldSkool and we are in rez way corpse here to share with you what mightily blessed us from our time in the magnificant Foundational Class that Reverend Rivenbark so graciously made available to us via our training in God's matchless werd as in residentured way corpse.

Oh, sorry.

ROFLMAO!! Very astute. I know right? I may still be corpse if I didn't have such a rebellious, hardened heart! This sums it up aptly:

From this thread: I wanted to take a few to start a new thread on this topic. The holiday relocation time for the in-rez way corps is much more than a time to get out of the camp. It's time to present sharings. Now, one would think these supposedly casual presentations are meant to be a personal time related from the heart...NOT! These bad fellaz are RE-hearsed over and over again for weeks. We presented them to our fellowships, they were recorded so we could watch ourselves and then practice in front of a mirror, they were critiqued by our corpse coordinator, over and over and over. Then we had to set up fellowship meetings to attend while we were away. Some of the more "motivated" would make 2 and 3 stop itineraries even presenting at branch, limb and region meetings. Can you say advertisement? Makes perfect sense. Let's send the free labor out freshly flossed, exercised, and groomed to present scripted and meticulously rehearsed "sharings" their spiritual partners payed to have prepared. Brilliant!
