  1. It really would be good to see that. A lot of the younger people in the way international have been isolated to other way ministry people, and negative comparisons to other churches, that many of them have no idea what else is out there. Of course the standard ideal is Doc Vic figured it all out so we don't have to. So there they are, well intentioned and good individuals raised to stand in the shadow of a man they never new, left idly by to take his word for it. The encouraging aspect in all of this is that many of them get out of there! Of course a lot of their parents like to tell them they are the future of the way ministry. That leaves a lot of them feeling unduly pressured. Then the people who were not "raised in the word" are sort of standing there feeling like chopped liver. That was my experiences anyways.
  2. And loaded with non-sensical BS like the words are the most important part of a song. It would be like learning braille from someone deaf.
  3. No, but it should be.
  4. No, this was really just a ploy to keep the kids out of town in a large group. Secular was OK once approved.
  5. I'd say you have a very accurate imagination. And a 12 week event plan was developed, and the set list had to be to Frau Q-Tip well in advance, and there was no recording or video taping allowed, and the list went on.
  6. NO!! They have other annual events, usually bi-annual way productions concerts for this purpose. Outside that time there is no real interest in that. No, it's closed corporation. When I was around it was narrowed down to staffers and their immediate families.
  7. See, you bring up a topic and I remember more. I better separate this into a new thread.
  8. Several years ago there was a young staffer, in his early 20s, that was a decent musician. And, as musicians tend to do, he got together with some other young staffers who had organized musical acts and was going to put on a jam session at the New Knoxville park that was to be open to the public. Well, Frau Q-Tip caught wind of this and damn near had a conniption fit. Her position was comical. On one hand here was something that she could not control. She simply had no authority to tell the staffers no without leaving the way international vulnerable to a future lawsuit. So she came up with a bribe. She offered the "Earth Stage" out behind the PWA (the spot that is used for Advanced Class Picnics now) so the kids could jam without going into New Knoxville and interfacing with the townies, en masse - without her consent. So, off we went to sell the organizers of this event on Rosalie's position. We reasoned with them for quite a while, during quite a few sessions, to convince them that they represented the way international whether they liked the idea or not. That was just something they had to accept being on Staff. Oh, they could do their concert, but here was a chance to open up more of the property to be enjoyed by the staff, and who knows, this event may repeat itself. And on the arm twisting went. The staffers eventually cratered and moved everything to the little designated event that was held on a Saturday evening. And, being the unimaginative sort we were, we called it Summer Jam. And so this event was born and now you know why. TO CONTROL THE YOUNG, CREATIVE STAFFERS!
  9. I think they were intended to remind us to speak in tongues for the bod. Hate to break it to them that a person can't do that. Oh, and also to remind us to pray for them Ya know? I mean they are on the front lines of the spiritual competition, arm wrestling the devil or something. On the other hand how often were we reminded of what the board of directors so graciously made available. Someone should explain to the idiots what they are "making available" was supplied by the people that send in their money. Perhaps the board of directors need pictures of everyone in the ministry so they can pray the money keeps coming in.
  10. Well, look for them to remain that sucky or get worse. There's only one artist left around there. There's other artists on staff, I imagines, but working on the poster is real confidential stuff. Plus, they paint that big ole billboard each year to go on Wierwille Road. Deadlines, strict confidentiality, layers of approval have killed any creativity that goes in to that awful thing. It's as low rent as the cheap poster frames that are doomed to encase it in rental properties across America. (No offense to non-TWI renters.)
  11. That law of believing is one of them damnable heresies we were warned about.
  12. Same here! Life opens up a new horizon every day.
  13. It's been my only exposure. I have questioned everything since leaving the way international. Especially the manifestations of holy spirit as taught by them. I believe the biblical accounts but I do not believe their interpretation of those records in relation to the subject. I damn near drove myself insane trying to heal a loved one using their methods. Of course failure was my fault. According to them.
  14. So, let's just say that speaking in tongues is misapplied against people through error in practice....just saying...
  15. And that, my friend, was one of the best things that ever happened to me! Guess I'm a rebul!
  16. I guess part of his job as the thief is to steal the front spots!
  17. Which is an interesting point that pokes all kinds of holes in Vicster's claim that one of Eve's mistakes was considering what the serpent had to say. It seems plain to me that Jesus Christ when tempted by the devil considered very carefully what was said and even more so his response. Begs the question - How in the hell can you discern good from evil without considering? (oh spiritually mature ones....)
  18. The way international taught me that life is spiritual. I think life is inherently physical and at best perhaps it could be argued that it is influenced, or even at times manipulated by the spiritual. I could dart off in several doctrinal directions about why I believe this but that would take a detour from my point. My point? By acting like life is spiritual the way international went ape in spiritualizing everything from the weather, people's behavior, your next door neighbor's attitude and the list could continue. Common sense would dictate that whether or not you are involved in the way international you will be in a thunderstorm. But what is a thunderstorm to the way international during a class? It's an attack of the adversary. Common sense would dictate that sometimes people get sad, angry, happy, indifferent or whatever. But how are these interpreted when they are in disagreement with the way international? It's an attack of the adversary. Common sense would dictate that some neighbors are great and others suck. But what is a next door neighbor that is mad because all the parking in the cul-de-sac is taken up by the way international's home fellowships? It's an attack of the adversary. I could be clever and tie all these in to the four fronts of the adversary but I just don't have the energy. Besides it would just be misconstrued as an attack of the adversary. The end result from my by my decision to believe that life is spiritual and then apply it in the "mania" fashion popular in the way international is anything that went against the way international's purposes was an attack of the adversary. Now, they would never come out and say this. No, not at all. But that IS the norm. And to make matters worse, instead of working through dysfunctional relationships with family, neighbors, the boss, or whomever, I was taught to treat it all as spiritual and therefore there was some deeper significance in my irritated co-worker, for example. Instead of enjoying life I was always over analyzing the insignificant and making up hidden, spiritual reasons. The result? I lived in an alter reality. Lala land. This lifestyle strained and nearly killed relationships with family and friends and led to my complete dependence on the way international to provide me an acceptable, "sanctified" social structure where there was no influence from the adversary that a little confrontation couldn't cure. Thank God I am free from that puzzle factory that is the way international. I've also mended a lot of fences since leaving that awful organization. I am thankful my friends and family love me enough to forgive and forget.
  19. Appropriately titled "Outside the Wall" http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/993203/
  20. I didn't buy one but I sure bought the false concept hook, line, and sinker. Only found it didn't work when I really needed it to come through. Of course I was blamed as the weakest link.
  21. Ya, she walks in and with the love of and for God in the renewed mind in the household.
  22. The obvious conclusion is that the kids were courting spirits of death to want to see a dead body.
  23. You're welcome! It's simple but sad. Go imagine all the things you want and if by chance they happen give us the credit and your money. If they don't happen right away keep up the good work knowing it's coming soon and give us the credit and your money. If it never happens keep on imagining it will and give us the credit and your money. If it doesn't happen and you deny us we will call you the weakest link and paint you as the failure because our principles just work - we will accept your money again once you admit we have been right all along.
  24. I don't remember posting anything here...who are all of you people....
