  1. Bingo!! You see, you are to give to the ministry that taught you the word and God will give to you. It's his job. The feel they have no fiduciary responsibilities beyond what human resources law mandates. And that is subject to interpretation by a lawyer or two.
  2. So perhaps Kenyon is the more suspect and Victor Paul Wierwille just ripped him off and all of his hookie-pook. I had glossed over the Wikipedia article and think it may be an example where Wikipedia, even though considered an un-reliable source, can have very good information.
  3. Yes! I have read many of the "neo-Babylonian" mystery religions and know exactly what you are talking about. To me at least, at some point these teachings were accepted into Christianity. James - please refresh me. Word of Faith comes from Romans 1:17, and other places, where Paul said the "the just shall live by faith." And other places where faith comes by hearing and hearing by speaking etc.? So, in your view is this a Pauline doctrine, where apart from Paul Judeo-Christians were zealous for the law, even from Jesus being on earth in person? Even though doctrine is in the title I am purposely trying to steer it away from deep doctrinal discussions and link, or un-link the way international's basic beliefs to / from the occult. I really believe they have the occults own teachings in their doctrines and it is those very doctrines that are more appealing when justified by stamping God's approval on them. Thus increasing the enticement of the bait. Who doesn't want power?
  4. I am mostly uninformed on this movement and will do a little due diligence to get a better grip on their specifics. Thanks for pointing me there. In the "Blue Book" there is a section devoted the focused mind. There is an analogy given using a camera. The analogy is if you get muddied results you did not focus clearly or long enough. That is clearly the same as occult practices. Many occult systems even encourage charms, amulets, talismans, and the like. Most times these items are intended to encourage better focus. As an example, if I am concentrating on more money, perhaps I make a talisman with symbolism to keep with me. When I am having trouble focusing, I can pull out the talisman as a aid to my mental focus. When I became involved in the way international I attributed this likeness as God's Word being counterfeited by the adversary. Now I believe that the occult was intermingled into Christian teachings which are an extension of the Old Testament, a Jewish religion.
  5. I want to put some of these ideas out there for you guys to poke holes inn, fish fry, bar-b-que, or whatever. O.K., before I became involved with the way international I had been involved many years in various occult teachings. From eastern religions - Kabbalah, witchcraft, African religions, Santeria, VooDoo, etc. I read much and all because, even though raised "Christian" I accounted church powerless. I had convinced myself there were other ways to God. Ok, enough of the apology. One thing that is VERY common in the above named systems, and others not named, is what the way international calls the law of believing. Think it, focus on it, visualize it and your mind will exert influence to attract what you think on. now. Check this link out. I have not read the entire book but found it with a cursory search before posting this topic. Please read the chapter, and possible others. My hypothesis is the men Wierwille plagarized had been influenced by a movement that extrapolated select occult teachings into Christian doctrine. I surmise this movement was started in the late 1800's in England. Some of the way international's own splinter groups have called this practice "name it and claim it" and "Christian witchcraft." I am inclined to agree. Here's the link and please start the hole poking. http://www.psitek.net/pages/PsiTekPMI4.html
  6. Well, I don't mind being the exception. Being born again and living an evil life is explicitly stated as a reality we must work to avoid. Sadly, we are conditioned many times by organizations to think that being born again means we are instantly changed. I had a rough upbringing with Church being a detour when I was a younger child. By the time my teens hit my sister had gotten me started into weed, alcohol, and huffing rubber cement. In my neighborhood there was little else except drugs, alcohol, and fighting. It's what we did. Church wasn't even a consideration at that point. So, as I said, socio-economic conditions played a significant factor. I can say this much. God has healed me, lifted me up from the former shell of a human I was, re-payed me the lost years, and is repaying me what was lost to the way international.
  7. I think almost every point in this video was used on me in my time in the way international. To think the way international tries to blind people into thinking a cult revolves around one leader and the way international does not. Liars. The entire ministry revolves around Rosalie and she knows it and wants it that way. Too bad WAYGB can't print the video for her to watch. But it's better this way.
  8. I wonder the same. I think there is a preferred "type" loosely defined by being quick to hear, slow to speak, and slower to question. Questions are welcome as long as it's understood that they will be answered by all of the way internationals proven ministry research. Vulnerable still comes to mind. Especially if you interpret "looking for people's needs" more honestly as honing in on people's vulnerability. And what is the de-facto reasoning when people keep their defenses up and refuse to be conned? They just aren't meek. We are looking for those that want to know. A.k.a - we are looking for the vulnerable that will do what we tell them.
  9. Yes I did. Part of that was rebellion against the hypocrisy in Southern Baptist beliefs. I figured if I was going to burn in hell I was going to have fun getting there. The anger was from socio-economic conditions and dysfunctional family issues as well. I did not have an easy go of things.
  10. Stay, go - really it's up to you. I would prefer if you had a subsection someplace where all of the James Trimm related issues could be posted and read in on place. Since you have significant work out there and have been sued by the way international, I think it unique you are here. To me you are welcome.
  11. And, again no. I think long answers confuse the issue. Your brilliance would be better expressed in succinct answers that summarize all the details in short pithy statements.
  12. .....I know how to end this.....YOUR"E RIGHT! James, you miss the point entirely. I am not here to discuss you and your posts have been spamming up The About the Way section for weeks. I would wade into any discussion that is About the Way. But I have no concern for your doctrines or positions. I do not believe them. We are different and I will not be converted. Otherwise, you wanna join in on discussing About the Way then I have no problems with you.
  13. I do. And in my childhood, Southern Baptist Church when I was led through Romans 10:9, and 10.
  14. Ya, for me it was vulnerability sprinkled with a dash of gullibility that resulted in a casserole of cynicism.
  15. Nice try. I never said I had not read it. James, I find it interesting you decided to zero in on me in an attempt to get a flame war going to distract from folks like Gen-2 who are pulling up your dirty little secrets. Again, nice try.
  16. My attention span is guided by relevancy.
  17. Oh no....more long, re-posted gibberish. Defacto defensive answer. Copied from the "defend against people who uncover the real me" file. Move along, nothing more to see here.
  18. Pssssst......hey James......when you put something on the interweb it is still there for the search savvy to find. No matter how many years go by there is a better than average chance it can be extrapolated across the wires from some harddrive tucked away somewhere housing archives. Please try to keep that in mind...please?.....ok?....
  19. And of course the minions would use that one as well. I have had lowly fellowship coordinators pull that one me, following their master's lead - no doubt!
  20. Ok, I have refrained from the fray to give this a little time to play out. James, bug off. You have been exposed as a fraud. Move along and quit spamming up the joint with your lengthy, dazzle them with B.S. posts, and I pray the sheepdogs keep you at bay wherever you go. Bye-bye.
  21. Ye! I think she get's it Mikey! Only Victor Paul "Motor Coach" Wierwille, Lloyd Craig "The Forehead" Martindale, and Rosalie Fox "Frau Q-Tip" Rivenbark are special. And yes, according to the way international we are all posessed and operating lying spirits and just think how convenient and manipulative it is to be able to say about your detractors...
  22. See, it's no wonder I am copped out...lol I never did this. By the time I was running a fellowship and living w/o room mates to screw things up, I would just turn on the TV and to make it extra special and crack open a brewski. I do remember the exortation to do this though. It was as if it were some extra special expression of one's unyielding commitment to God. Probably more like an indication of one needing to be committed to the puzzle factory for telling people to do this.
  23. Small minds and their simplistic, religious formulas. Oh ya, God's word just works. No God needed. Just apply the formula and you get the results. Thank you father! Evil bustards will have their judgment. I think choosing dissociation is a good option.
  24. I remember both types vividly. I could never figure out what the angle would be for The Beatles, Stones, etc. were working against the masses. I guess we could sit around and parse their lyrics, or maybe they are repeating some evil not that is hidden amongst their songs that is causing those w/o a healthy backlog of retemories to become possessed over time.... The Way International has really worked the negative comparisons down to a science in order to SELL, SELL, SELL!! The spirits controlling body parts is just about the dumbest thing I HAVE ever heard and I heard it much. I can remember telling one of my fellowship coordinators about talented people I admired and he told me in sort of a low breathy voice that they were possessed because it just wasn't natural for them to be able to do such things. It crushed me and I did believe that for a very short time. Then I started thinking for myself. And no place did I ever see such non sense in the scriptures. So I basically began excluding other wayfers from those areas of my life. Entertainment was a big no-no. They were not allowed into my wayfer free sanctum. Hell now I am wayfer free! Oh, well those things are a result of the fall of man. Or at least some good ole devil spirit manipulation of the gene pool or something. :smilie_kool_aid:
