  1. It's also of note that in the Martindale years magic was considered a dirty word in the white washing of various terms.
  2. Yep. I knew it while I was taking the classes and no one could have told me any better....it was da werd, da werd, and nothing but da werd! Again to be clear in my intent in the above post. It's the idea that there is a law set in place, an all powerful law that works for saint and sinner alike, that we control by our dominant thoughts and when we are careless with our dominant thoughts and slip into negative thinking that we bring calamity to ourselves. Otherwise, focus, visualization, hard work, meditation, etc. are all valuable of their own merits.
  3. Yep, and if a person follows that logic too far outside it's own circular little bubble then Jesus, Peter, Paul and the like were some of the biggest losers out there. Crucified, thrown in jail, received public beatings, and much more. So by reason, those things happened to them when they were outside God's covering.
  4. Here, to make sure everyone does their lo-shantas I made this sticker. It's my idea! Not anyone else's. I came up with it one day when I took all my stickers to the city dump, over 3000 of them to be exact. I had read equally great stickers by equally intelligent men who just seemed to come up with different stickers.
  5. Well, the Bible never cost me anything. "The word" as taught by the way international cost me a budding music career, the prime of my life being spent on advancing an abusive cult's teachings, my place of residence that I truly loved at one point so I could move around in participation in their programs, many years of missing out on my family that I had forsaken to "move the word," my identity that I had whitewashed in casually nice clothing and cliches, and damn near my life. I spent a couple of years grinding through the law of believing in an effort to bring healing to my child. I nearly committed suicide on more than one occasion because I blamed myself for his illness and the mental, emotional state brought on by the denial inherent in the way international's twisted doctrines. In all fairness, now I have left my life is getting constantly better. I have come to grips with the changed course, have a lovely wife, awesome child and we have a great life. God and the Lord are recompensing me what the way international's locusts have eaten. They can have what I gave and I have satisfaction in the hope that they have the greater damnation for using people to advance their doctrines, which is not another.
  6. WHOAH!!! Just reading that energized me and I only had .... uuhhh..... 2 hours sleep.....gonna go and RE-read that now....such spiritual words....whew....temperature of believing just gets hotter and hotter around here....
  7. Does anyone know when the Advanced Class starts this year? If my estimations are correct it should start this Sunday the 13th?
  8. And the way international claims to not be a cult. more recent, and this still stands because they never stated differently. Donna
  9. WTF gives with that? Christian mafia?
  10. That's classic. This is , but here's a classic link. Yes, part of the reason I am here is to heckle.
  11. Hiya! Welcome to the Cafe!!! Glad you are posting here!!! Woot Woot! And you are correct. Most, not all, but most of the way corps I knew were very aware that there were seperate households within the one true household and way corpse was in the inner sanctum. One could never get too cozy with non-corps because the more religous corpse were overly-concerned about being good examples because they had no other leadership responsibilities. Some of the ones who blew off the rules wouldn't want non-corps to see them violate the two drink limit - to pick an example. It's not a level playing field and a person becomes VERY aware of the caste once they are exposed to it. It's cool to hear your perspective because I remember being treated the same when I was on Staff as apprentice corps and then how differently I was treated after I was Corpse. Glad you are verbal, I am all ears. Yes, I second, third , forth, infinity this statement.
  12. Nope, just grudgingly follow the lawyers advice and hoard money. Nothing to see here, just move along.
  13. And yes she is 70. At least one higher up, Br*1@n Moneyhands who is a junior Director - whatever that is, has the philosophy that the older generation will be dead soon and he can be in a position to fix the ministry after they are gone. Daddy can't stand Frau-Qtip and neither can junior. (Sorry B, should have treated A better, thought he was your friend or something - what you did was just cold.) So he comes off in his hypocritical silence as supportive but behind closed doors is bitter of a detractor there ever was.
  14. That's an awesome quote. When I had only been in the way ministry for a couple years I politely told my fellowship coordinator to quit being such a hardass. He was interim corpse at the time. His response? Even after we talked over Romans? Well, "I never saw Reverend Horney worry about being kind." Ya - it was that stupid. Starting with my apprentice year I noticed trainees competing with each other to see who could be the biggest a$$ kiss. I told myself it would stop after we graduated. Guess what. It was worse in the way corpse household. And it's really screwed up too. The double talk is nasty. On one hand they quote Victor Paul Wierwille about it's the love in the work that gives it it's worth. Then they throw around spiritual responsibility (which is a farce) to denote the greater in God's eyes - as it they know. Then you have "Major Assignments." They get a special announcement session all their own on the STS. You are salaamed as you climb the ladder and they sneer at you when you descend. I do not care what higher up position you hold and for what reason you vacate it. There will be whispers about what you did wrong to get the demotion. THANK GOD I LEFT THAT CRAP BEHIND!!!! And as you climb the ladder you will be treated differently. Some really feed on it. But to me it was isolation and I hated the hypocritical way I was reverenced. Mainly because I remember all the two faced comments I would hear people make about all the honchos. They are not too popular you know. And of course the professional butt kissers are jealous...of what I have no idea. The desire the praise of men more than God.
  15. You're welcome! I have really learned a lot from all the responses. Thanks all! (not that we're done or anything.)
  16. And about as useful as a rubber crutch.
  17. I wouldn't run from em anyways. <_<
  18. One could argue that Rosalie has other things in common with Pharaoh, who was supposedly born of the wrong seed. Namely, that if you complain too much she will impose hard labor. You know, cut your own straw and make your own bricks. And, yes. I am far away from the children of the cornfield cult and I can still smell the manure.
  19. http://www.greasespotcafe.com/main2/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,29/task,doc_download/gid,29/ We are damned if we meet catastrophe and damned if we prosper. If something bad happens it's for leaving the ministry. If we prosper and do exceeding well then the devil did it so we would tempt others to leave. Personally, I have never been better. My wife and I have a prosperous business, we are mortgage free home owners - by choice and not constraint, we are active in our neighborhood and city, our relationship has blossomed into a team / partnership, our son is doing very well. But I am sure the cultists will say where the Lord has prospered me it's all the devil. And they can call the light darkness and the darkness light, not understanding that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus - yay, not even leaving the way international.
  20. I voted myself off the island... or farm....or camp or whatever it was. Seriously, there is definitely a sub culture where they have their own cliche based language, own interpretation of the world that is neither biblical or reality based, own interpretation of the Bible that is more like a smörgåsbord of doctrines that suited Victor Paul Wierwille's ends, and they have their own version of the new man. Instead of the living, active head of the body being the new man that is put on in righteousness and holiness we have a ministry that emulates it's leaders starting with the impression of Victor Paul Wierwille.
  21. Their question submission process is designed for the questions to get lost or forgotten in the process, IMO. That and to not bother the directors. We all know how busy they are arm wrestling with the devil or dwarf tossing or whatever the hell else they do in the chalet annex besides reshuffle their papers all day.
  22. I had never thought about that. But now that you mention it. I suppose if you follow the way international's logic it's because of the fall of man. Of course you would have to ignore their other teachings that say the believer had the advantage in the law of believing because of the spirit of God within. You'd also have to ignore scripture that says greater is he than he that is in the world. But, hey, contradictions are ok in the way international because we aren't supposed to exercise critical thinking in the first place. In fact we never want to be critical, it's just a negative confession. Seriously though, it makes me wonder if that's just not part of the control the wield to keep us in fear and moving to the beat of the drummer. Keep us giving faithfully because "we just have to keep at it to see the results"...know what I mean? I mean it wouldn't be because they magnify the devil or anything...
