Oh, I'm done. Maybe some others want to take it further but not me. I've got better things to do with my freedom than debate how to give it up again.

You are correct. And I have learned to keep humor in the mix, so it is appreciated!
-
And make it required viewing during the time you are taking the DTA class....
-
They currently charge $450 per head.

ROFL!!!

I don't have a problem with churches. I have a problem with someone insisting that we are supposed to goto churches. Since we are clear on the definition, that it's a building. Then people read that definition into the Bible, as if all these church buildings were scattered around the 1st century church times. I guess in essence they were but were called temples and synagogues. I respect your choice to goto church. But if you are someone who would like to place restrictions on what others do in their service to the lord and worship of God then that in itself is wrong. Otherwise, I am finished with the argument and wish you all the best.

It is sure a broadly used word. It's neat seeing the lexicon and dictionary side by side like that.
-
Well, I go with Strongs definition. http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G1577&t=KJV The context must determine the exact usage.

Egads. Maybe I should change this thread to "Official Memorial Service for the way intenational's Advanced Class" Psst....hey Rosie, didn't you coordinate this one, leaving your freshly car wrecked son in a hospital bed? I know a little personal but just wondering how you justify 4000 people in attendance to less than a hundred. Can someone work up the percentage drop? Of course someone you know followed your counsel to stay and serve while a loved one had surgery....I mean it's the example you give. Stay in service at all costs. Strange how that was used against the person. I understand even your lapdog was speechless when he was told the background of the accusation. Course the Panamanian would love to be like the Pineapple. Little dictators admire others, yanno? Oh the rumors we hear. After all - "A rumors not a rumor that doesn't die"

All this talk about triggers and such only confirms for me that I am dealing with the same things.

http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G1577&t=KJV I believe you to be using the word church in it's modern usage. Namely, the first definition in the following link. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/church If you can verify that for me please, I will be happy to comment further. Thanks!

Find me one verse that says we are supposed to go to Church.
-
We're supposed to make Jesus Lord.

I am all for anyone going to church or not. The way I see it, after some serious thought, is churches can be towers of babel - the works of men's hands to reach God or the can simply be a place to meet in a group and fellowship. To me the problem comes in when people say "THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO GO!!!! YOU MUST COME HERE OR YOU ARE WRONG!!!" That's just wrong. Each Christian in the body of Christ is to hold the head, who is Christ. Follow the Lord's lead, do his work. If that work involves making an organization then that organization is known by it's fruits. Does it magnify God, does it magnify Christ? Or does it just magnify the denomination or some other man and demand loyalty and obedience? By their fruit we are supposed to know them. God is not in a church of it's own and neither is Christ. Christ is wherever two or three gather in his name. In a church or down by the river matters not.

From working closely with them I believe them to be blind, heartless, and worse. They really think they are right, more than the average follower - and we all know how difficult they can be to reason with. They manipulated the love that we had for God and will have to face that some day.
-
To make matters worse, their training programs endeavor to mold people in their dear leaders image. The tupos is a strange blend of Victor Paul Wierwille and whomever has clawed their way into the president's office. They do not know Christ therefore they are totally devoid of any ability to teach people to be Christ like.

Great point, chockful It's about that crazy. I searched the term love of God in The Bible Tells me So. It only comes up a couple times where VeePee basically introduces the topic, gives the lamo definition and goes no further. I believe you waysider that the tracts were much different. I think in this you can see the gradated informational structure inherent in the way international. "Here, buy these books, or better yet get them free when you register for the foundational class. You'll get more as you register for more classes. We'll start explaining ourselves better as you take our classes. Are you a little confused now? No problem, we'll make that much worse as you take our classes, except we will convince you that you know that you know that you know. That way you won't question us."

Good point. I think I even still have a tendency to say get over it, which is definitely something I picked up from the way international. Get through it is a good way to say it.

Thought I would start an official thread for all things AC 2010. It started on Sunday, 13th - I appreciate the person who confirmed that, thanks! I will say this from being at HQ for several years. The number of new students has evaporated exponentially since 1998. In 98 I took the class and there were around 600 students. And the excitement was everywhere as the MLM gurus plied their trade. Fast forward to 2002 when I was a branch study group coordinator and it was only a couple hundred. Over the next several years they started losing staff in droves. Between no staff and little new students Rosie and the gang needed to do something quick. So, with all their years of accumulated wisdom they took yet another step into yesteryear. They let grads come to HQ to participate in a work / study program. (That's one con that will never die in TWI.) So I understand from recent years that the numbers of new students are less than a hundred and many of them are ministry kids. Sad state of affairs to say the least. So what killed it? The Forehead's affairs? The no debt policy? The dry white toast teaching style? Can we just attribute this to the lack of talent and leadership demonstrated by Frau Q-Tip?

I don't think that's directed at you, Gen-2. Him and Geisha have had some lengthy discussions on the subject in the Jim Doop thread.
-
And I had never heard of this man. Years of the mark and avoid practice seems to do it's job well of removing the memory of the workers while preserving their work in the collective.
-
I'll use my handy, dandy pdf files where I can use the adobe reader search feature. I did not know they were tracts. I thought VeePee was able to actually sit down and pen a real book. Figures. I am sure the information is there but scrambled a bit from the tracts.

Martindale added "in the household", Rosalie had it removed because the definition needs to trace back to VeePee. Certainly the way it was manipulated against us in the way international. No derailing. I appreciate the insight. A lot of these threads I post are just my thinking via keyboard. It helps to get it out and learn from others. Even if it's a dead horse, to me it's part of regaining my sanity.
