What was with the ole' loon comparing his works and doings to God's? Here, in memory of Doc Vic's Greek definition skillz. Thought I would break down the Greek definition of Megalomania. The word megalomania is derived from the Greek words "μεγαλο": megalo-, meaning large, and "μανία": mania, meaning madness, frenzy. The first attested use of the word "megalomania" is in 1890 as a translation of the French word "mégalomanie". Megalomania is a non-clinical word defined as: [1] 1. A psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence. 2. An obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions.

Fellowship = Reason holds the same relationship to the spirit (your holy spirit) as the body does to reason.

Well, to me it seems to explain some of the cold, calculating, indifferent behavior from the leadership. Ok, personal illustration: John Rupp took the time one morning to visit my home in an effort to divide my wife and I over an assignment issue. Issue was I was not going to accept a WC assignment due to financial hardships resulting from very frequent long distance travel to my child' doctors. Anyways. Johnnie took the time to brag, saying he has healed many folks over the years. My wife, handed our (then) toddler son to him who had multiple health issues at the time, and asked almost crying to please heal him. John took the child, held him in an awkward silence for a couple seconds and promptly handed him back to her without even praying, much less ministering and immediately started working us over on the assignment again. Obviously, we were crushed. Here was a supposed man of God, Vice President of the way international, acting Board of Director, Reverend and his only concern was getting us in line to take the assignment the directors wanted us to take instead of the one we requested that was the best for our family's needs. I have never run across someone so cold who claimed to be a minister. I do not think being that indifferent is normal. Much less to someone who supposedly has their conscience conditioned with God's Word. Seared with a hot iron is more like it. So I am beginning to think there is a lengthy desensitizing process that happens over the years that erases folks empathy and compassion, replacing it with calculating indifference. Have a need? Too bad, believe bigger. God's word just works - obviously it's you , the person with the need, that needs to step it up.

Started new thread so as not to derail this one. I think that was the purpose now that you mention it waysider.

If you don't follow the light you follow darkness

Ok, best statement I have heard to date! -
Another post had me thinking this morning about how often we were subjected to things we knew were wrong and were told how to respond to those situations, supposedly with counsel from the word. I'll throw out a few examples, but this list is nowhere all inclusive: Very crude jokes told in mixed company at public classroom settings. Profanity being screamed in mixed company at lectures - Craig's day comes to mind when he would be very crude at the noon meal when children were present. Being warned away from people who had left the household Adulterous activities of leaders through the years My guess is the official way to respond to these obvious wrongs is to be told to "get over it", or "don't be so sensitive or "quit being religious." Etc. I am beginning to think the end result of these sort of things is it desensitizes people to obvious evils that come to be considered normal, even Godly. Thoughts?

Egads. Dirty old man bringing the keeds up to date...oh boy. We watched Carolyn Rollins "New Life" class when I was in-residentured. They had several points in the class where some of the older pillars from VeePee's day would get up to coordinate the class sessions and tell really crude, dirty jokes. It was horribly inappropriate. I think that sort of thing in that context desensitizes the participants.

No wonder they stifle imagination in the way ministry. Kid's would be creating their own worlds and what not by unleashing the power of their believing in a frivolous manner. Scary when you think about it. I mean God would have to change the laws of the universe to accommodate them....no?
-
Say what? (I didn't have VeePee or Lloyd's sex classes.)

I should repent but I just can't find it in myself to feel bad about it. I think someone making another record their dental hygiene on a piece of paper hanging in public is the one who should repent! And above all cease and desist. But the question begs to be asked...if the way international is investing all the resources of the ministry into the in-residentured way corpse trainees then why do they need spiritual partners, who give monies on their behalf? Sounds like they are investing the resources of the trainees partnership. Ehh...but what do I know? <_<

Oh come now.... That's so they can teach that (agape) love of God. 1950's table etiquette and thinking you can put agape into every thing you touch when your mind is renewed are the expressions of agape that are most prevalent. You remember the "everything gives off something lectures?...
-
Really, I'm crushed. I guess we should call it even...I lied on my floss chart. Probably lose all reward and a few years of eternal life.
-
When I was in-residence many times I heard the phrase "All the resources of the way international are being invested in you in your training!" Really? All $54 million? So yet another mindless, groundless, mantra thrown about to help guilt and control the numb minds of the unsuspecting.

That's cause he sent others, like Walter Cummings to real colleges and they knew what he didn't. How many times in University of Life tapes did VeePee turn and say "Walter?"

Ya, with The Forehead now deposed they have had to go and erase him from the within the camp. FNC and INT are completed. The AC is a hodge podge of teachers reciting Craig's syllabus. Which is comical that they are so inept to not be able to edit a stinking class series in 10 years now. LOSERS! Silly me. I sometimes screw up by remembering that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son...yada yada. But VeePee gave his eyeball. What had the word cost you? -
Somewhere in the foundational class on the way of abundance and power there is a statement made that basically says "If you don't follow the light, you follow darkness." When The Forehead taught it he had some real emphasis on it, that if you bail on the household of the way international you are darkness! And this phrase is still in the new, testicle-free, freshly neutered foundational class as well - toned down of course. While working out today the absurdity of this statement slapped me upside the head. Not only absurd because it's goofy as h3ll, but absurd because I used to mindlessly believe it. So the way international would have us believe that we can go around in darkness all our lives until we are accosted at the magazine rack in the supermarket by a hooptie driving wayfer. Then we make the decision to come and see. We see and if we stay we are light and if we leave we rejected the light choosing instead to love darkness. Riiiiiiight. Did anyone ever stop to think the manner in which they represent God is just ridiculous? Billions of people on the planet right now. Who knows how many more have lived since the first century. And all God can do is muster up a comparable few way international folks to take the light to a darkened world? I have a new phrase today, class....can you say "nucking futts?"
-
I am sure most are there because have to be. Getting the Advanced Class is one of the most important ways wayfer parents prepare their kids for college. At least that is what I've heard them say. <_<
-
Personally, I think he embellished definitions to suit his teachings. I have tried to trace a lot of the definition into Thayer's, Strong's, and the like only to find that the definition cannot be traced and to be told by leadership that the definition resulted from research.

Great stuff, erkjohn!
-
Yep, time to go move this class!
-
Taking the blog down eh? Go ahead and let the way international suck the life out of you for a while and hopefully, if you realize the futility, you will become a GreaseSpot!
-
Did I ever mention just how nucking futts these screw balls are / were ? <_<
-
ROFL!! If only you had been there to tell me that before I got involved with the way international.

wtf - The Moody Blues are freaking awesome!
