  1. Then there is the perspective that "by his stripes ye were healed" is a Hebrew figure of speech known as the prophetic perfect, where future events are worded as happening in the past tense to emphasize the surety of the promises fulfillment. Just saying. We are obviously not healed in the biblical sense of no sickness or death. But I am sure this disagrees with whats is the way international's "storehouse of truth."
  2. Strange that when parents stay faithful to the way international their progeny will have to pay for their indiscretion. Guess damned if you do and damned if you don't.
  3. Yes!!!!!!!! I am learning to (without sounding too institutional) process my emotions. To express them in a more positive way. It takes some time and you are so right. We are supposed to learn about these things when we are teens. My parents did not teach me and in my early 20s I went straight into TWI. So after leaving TWI and several hundred bottles of whiskey I am finally starting to come to grips with how to deal with emotions. And like you, commercials, movies, whatever have you have often elicited tears from me when I was happy as a lark. My advice is to talk the emotions through with your husband and/or loved ones. Also, find other ways to express them. For me it's music but it can be just about anything that does the trick. Bottom line is freely express yourself and in time you will begin to feel a lot better.
  4. Well of course, according to the way international he is "the absent Christ!" How does the little cliche go? "The Word takes the place of the absent Christ!" :excl:

It was written in 1951. Do a search for say "abundant life" and you will see very plainly that a lot of this man's ideals were taught by Victor Paul Wierwille all throughout the way international. Here is a quote on page 129, from "The is Magic in Believing" Does this sort of thing sound familiar to anyone? Perhaps a more modern day example of this foolishness. http://www.greasespotcafe.com/main2/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,29/task,doc_download/gid,29/
  6. Ha! Great points JJ! I think it may be closer to $26 million in 2008, totaling the Short Term Investments and Other Investments lines. I know one thing. G@ry Fr3d3r1ck invests their money in the stock market. Plus, they have the staff 401k, which is of course a mutual fund. Following Craig's "logic," Why not just take all that money and abundantly share it to themselves. God's laws would still have to work...no?
  7. Not to my knowledge. However, they love to pontificate about whose fault it is for this or that happening. Usually tracing back to some "sin" that someone did that caused it.
  8. Perhaps The Forehead stating this sort of thing is why Rosalie feels the need to EMPHASIZE REPEATEDLY that "This is Gawd's ministry!" ??
  9. Thank you very much for this link. I had started a thread here: and will link back to this thread from that one. Great stuff!
  10. The man was just a raving idiot. Classic.
  11. Probably had a "spirit filled" way believer around who talked to them for God? I mean if you follow the logic it's really the only way.
  12. I'm not sure of the history on this one. When I was on staff the grounds department would tell folks every autumn to stay off when there was frost because it would break the grass leaving brown foot prints.
  13. So what if people here do have an ax to grind? Many of us caught hell from way corpse leadership and in my case directly from the board of dummies. Am I not entitled to be angry at the wrongs that have been purposely carried out against me and my family by the way international? Perhaps you care to quantify how some of us are "making it hard" for others? Sorry if the underbelly of this corrupt organization doesn't deserve to be euphemistically described all the while showing proper protocol to the people we expose. I am not trying to start a flame war or be offensive. It just seems that you are judging people who are perhaps sorting through various emotions. Perhaps that's not your intent. Perhaps you are a judgmental person. I was extremely judgmental and I learned it from the way international. My entire perspective was based on categorizing people and drawing negative comparisons being careful to elevate myself on those I talked down. I wish you all the best. Take care.
  14. That sounds about right. I wonder how many of them have had to vacate from properties that were foreclosed while they were renting them. Bet they never talk about that sort of thing though.
  15. Sounds like one of the way corps who thought they were going to be in charge of something when they graduated only to find themselves in some menial staff job. There are certain ones who are always looking for avenues to "minister" to the staff. Probably well meaning enough, but to thrust yourself on another and then get offended when they do not thank you is typical way brained behavior. Probably shocked to find you didn't want (or need) their help.
  16. I imagine this dates back to Victor Paul Wierwille's "reasoning" for not paying the staff of the way international reasonable pay? Either way. During placements a few years ago the cabinet were blamed for there being VERY little new applicants. I think there were a grand total of four. Anyhow, ideas were solicited from the cabinet and someone suggested that the way international develop a better incentives plan. Increase pay, offer more competitive benefits, etc. The idea was shot down immediately! Rosalie then explained that working on staff is reserved for those who are spiritually minded, who want to receive in-depth training in the practical application of God's Word by dedicating themselves in service. The point was made and reiterated that if people wanted to make money they should make it in "the world" and not at the way international because working on staff was always meant for spiritually minded people who wanted to grow in God's Word - My best paraphrase but we all get the gist. The poor cabinet member who made that suggestion was privately counseled by Rosalie for many days to follow. She simply would not let it die. The person was basically accused of being worldly and was raked over the coals repeatedly, both in person and via many phone calls. This topic could morph a few different directions. 1 - hows that for speaking up in the kinder, gentler way international? 2 - I would love to hear all the "advanced spiritual training" you ex-staffers received from you "advanced" training. 3 - What about those incentives? Really they are a facade that amount to a selling point used by the personnel department when they are propositioning potential hires. 4 - Just a reminder that the incentives dry up quickly should any major medical situation arise and a person's is then given over to Medicaid and such. They become the taxpayer's responsibility. 5 - How about that $54 million in horded assets gathered from tithes and abundant sharing? 6 - Any damn direction it happens to go
  17. That and his ability to prey on the young hippie crowd of the day.
  18. Even Jesus Christ had nicknames for these types in his day. And Paul.
  19. Personally, it seems my motives may be misunderstood. I am not here to even the tally, but to expose a corrupt organization and lay witness against them with what I know. While I may not know very much, what I do know helps expose the chameleon maneuvers undertaken by the way international since the Allen lawsuit made them change appearances. Jesus Christ will have to judge between me and them. You know it's funny that people assume that most posters at GreaseSpot Cafe are bitter, mad, unforgiving, etc. Perhaps some of us are and rightfully so. However, not all of us fit that bill. Some of us feel compelled by conscience to speak up and make sure the underbelly of this beast is exposed for what it is, an abusive and controlling cult that is interested in one thing - MONEY!
