  1. Thanks, haven't been over there in a while, nor have I read all his works on the site. Will scoot on over this evening.
  2. Just throw a futon in the sidecar. Would serve the same purpose!
  3. Thanks for the history, first hand accounts, and information! Victor Paul Wierwille was a complete FAKE! Those who prop up his failed organization are following a whitewashed image of a man that never existed. Thank God I woke up, extracted my family, and got OUT of there.
  4. See, they make the ole' huckster (Dr Wierwille - you know he wasn't really a doctor, don't you?) seem like he was an uber-intelligent scholar. In reality he, and others, started with all these commentaries that were later made into book form. This leads me to speculate that when he wasn't plagiarizing, he was printing the research department's works under his name. At least in part. Around the farm they make the man out to be some untouchable intellectual. I don't think the man was as bright as they say. I digress.
  5. Just an observation and perhaps someone knows the answer. From my perspective, VPW's earlier books, such as the bible tells me so - etc, seem VERY elementary. In fact I understand that some of those early books were strung together from various tracts and pamphlets, the contents of which had been plagiarized from his mentors. Fast forward a decade or two into TWI's hay-day and we have a book like Jesus Christ our Passover. It's a big thick book, carries many topics, seems to be well written (at least from memory.) Did ole' Vic have the research department do the work and then he strung it together? Is that the modus operandi for all of the later books? Just from my hazy memory it seems the older books were very disjointed and poorly written. I mean it's taken them years to edit Studies in Abundant Living, Volumes 1 through 5, and there are many editions of this series that have been released over the years. Then there are other books released under VPW's name that are in much better shape. My guess is he used other's work and called it his but it was all legal like because they were paid staff, therefore the work produced by the research department could be released under his name. Just curious.
  6. Well, the trustees / directors have always elected the directors amongst themselves and appointed themselves as officers. Basically doing double duty. It's not that uncommon for small, privately held corporations to have directors share the responsibilities of being officers as well. Especially, if there is a central power figure. I had posted about this in the third person. Basically, I was at the leaders meetings in 2007 when she shared the plans to separate directors / officers. So you have a chairman of the board, which is of course Rosalie and she will maintain micromanaging control, the board members - basically, she will appoint the people and bring it to a yes vote from the yes men elected to the board. Then you will have the officers. President, vice-president(s), secretary, treasurer, etc. These are appointed by the board. Oh, as it was she was planning to have the president also be a member of the board. Rosalie's plans were to have the board set policy, teaching topics, etc and have the officers run the day to day operations the the way international. She set it out there like it was revolutionary but in the real world this is how corporations typically operate. She is in her early seventies and is slow as molasses in January from a productivity perspective. Slow and proud of it in fact. Bottom line she is old and can't keep up with things anymore. So, to retire, instead of walking away - she gave herself a in-charge part time job on the board of directors as chairman of the board.
  7. The irony (and phony baloney) is they claim to be "the new dynamic church" yet all of their modes of outreach are what worked for Victor Paul Wierwille. They do not take advantage of any social media outlets, and their website doesn't even have a "contact us" button where one could send an inquiry email. Instead they have this: Hell, I'm not complaining though, they are the source of their own failures. Instead of figuring out what works today they stubbornly work towards their own defeat, going door to door and stalking walmarts across the land. Meanwhile the would be victims...I mean adherent...lol...goes home, does a google or two, reads Juedes and GSC and runs like hell!
  8. At least Rosalie calls them a remnant - a faithful remnant...you know only a handful will ever believe...and they are it.
  9. I'm not so sure they know that it happened...I mean they are a "remnant." I think of a carpet remnant, you know a scrap.
  10. ROFL! That one will make Rosalie's desk for sure. They are on the prowl for "chatter" ya know! I mean if someone says it, and thought precedes action, then surely they will do it...no?
  11. Oh, but Rosalie's battle cry during the Allen lawsuit was "It's Gawd's minastreee!" I guess her and Donna are gawd?
  12. Great points! Wonder if ole' Vic ever realized the extent of his own double talk?
  13. When I was a newly minted follower of the way international I really swallowed lots of the kool-aid concerning the way international being the new dynamic church. Then as I followed along the programs I was eventually assigned to headquarters and I REALLY expected to learn the inner workings, the special secrets, the wisdom that made it so wonderful. I finally would get to peer behind the curtain into the inner sanctum! Boy did I ever get to peer behind the curtain. The wizard of oz has nothing on Rosalie and the gag of idiots who know all the wrong doings and keep quiet about it all, trying to dust it under the rug. The way international is run from the top down by inept people who's only guiding light is the whim of an old lady who cloaks herself with "what Dr. Wierwille used to do." And then they spin it all around that everything is confidential and secret and wise and led by God almighty Himself! Sad to say it's run by an out of touch old lady who is a controlling tyrant in grandma's clothes. I have seen it first hand for several years, been to leaders meetings, placements, weekly meetings with the board of dummies...all I have to say to anyone who wonders...nothing to see here folks...just move along. A rapidly contracting cult is all that remains of Victor Paul's Wierwille's life work. There is nothing new or dynamic. Did I mention that this was one of the biggest disappointments for me? There was a time when I REALLY believed things were managed and lead with the highest degree of ethics and godly power, with the light of God's Word leading the way for the board of directors. In the end I learned the sad truth - Rosalie Rivenbark and Donna Martindale run the way international and have for years....nothing to see.....just move along....
  14. well...."nothing new under the sun." <_<
  15. I know this has been stated elsewhere, but to reiterate, the scheduling wackiness came from Rosalie. She is disgusting enough to want to micromanage others lives at that level. Very sick woman. The last few years of Craig's presidency I understand he was basically held hostage by Donna and Rosalie anyway. I was told that they used his affairs against him and let him mouthpiece their policies. I.e. - no debt, scheduling, itineraries, etc. (Sorry WayGB, was I supposed to keep that confidential? )
  16. Negatory! No one ever gets a refund from the way international. It's like a roach motel when it comes to money - checks check in but they don't check out.
  17. Probably, locked away in the safe in the Ermal Owens Building. Or perhaps weighted and sunk in one of the ponds on grounds. Either way it's a well kept secret.
  18. oh, very well - sometimes I assumes folks can read my intent through cyberspace only to have those hopes dashed upon the rocks. I'll be a little more specific next time. Ya, needs more, it's only two folks at the moment. I understand they are making some moves to line up rhythm section. Violin would sound cool as well. But can you hear room for a Peruvian nose harp? jk...
  19. Thought some would enjoy the tunes. Do I need a point?
  20. I had to endure this while I was going through the way corpse "training" program. Every year had some form of this sort of nonsense. I quickly learned to turn in what they wanted and do whatever I wanted, instead of being worried about where they thought I was. What's the worse they could do? Kick me out of the program? I only wish they had. I know around HQ, when the forehead was being sued, fired, etc. They stopped this practice abruptly when Rosalie and the lawyers began white washing all the blatant civil rights violations from plain view. Dunno if it was abolished on the field or not. There were a lot of things that changed at HQ due to employment law that did not translate to the branches.
  21. http://www.reverbnation.com/skepticalcynics#!
  22. "why wouldn't you ...insert participation in some ministry event..." Proper usage: "Why wouldn't you want to attend the 10:30 fellowship?" (Actual context - Camp Gunnison CEO confronting / coercing staff about not going to the 10:30 am fellowship. Especially ridiculous considering there was a 1:00 pm STS phone hookup the same day)
  23. I love Peter Gabriel's music...good stuff.
  24. Wow, I had no idea that the adversaries influences could be second and third hand, like second hand smoke, perhaps?
