  1. Well, whether he means to be or not he has been using classic trolling techniques. I have made the field somewhat of a casual study. http://www.partyvan.info/wiki/Forum_Trolling#Ground_Rules
  2. In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
  3. It was around when I was there a few years ago, though greatly diminished. They moved furniture and killed animals mostly. Got a raccoon? No problem. MSP sets a live trap, catches the critter and promptly drowns it in one of the ponds, all quiet like of course.
  4. Question john: If everyone else are the ones going off topic, and you are the picked on victim...why not take the high road and put the topic back on topic? I really don't expect you to answer anything more than how "unfair" things are between you and other posters. You poor guy. Consider the question rhetorical. Really, you could then start a new thread in the Doctrinal section of the forums where you and others could hash it out all day long. As it stands I am sick of coming to the About The Way section and finding more doctrinal banter between you and others. Personally, I am sick of it and am considering a break from GSC until you run out of wind or the moderators start sending theses issues to Doctrinal. Here, to help you find your way. http://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/forum/20-doctrinal/
  5. I learned a lot of things about fields I did not know, as you very aptly categorize. However, the issue is what can a person translate to a resume in order to gain professional employment? For me there is very little that translates. And the plethora of odds and ends I learned perfecting menial chores is overvalued. You can use a power drill but do you qualify as a carpenter? You can use a forklift, but do you qualify as a forklift operator? My questions are rhetorical and I am not picking you apart. I think the things you learned benefited you and enriched your life. Amen to that. But, we are talking about the far reaching claims used to keep staff satiated. It's a sham IMHO.
  6. troll - unwitting or otherwise.
  7. Not only that, but I get far greater results ignoring our troll.
  8. No, sounds like a really nasty thing to say to someone.
  9. You know I do not really feel bitter...I do feel free though.... Little more about the site owner. http://www.biblicalresearchjournal.org/brj-pages_html/001mm08_about_us.html
  10. Well, there's the verse in Hebrews that talks the root of bitterness, and many being defiled by it should it take hold. Other than that I do not know the true meaning of the verse and will not pretend to. I think cultists (my former self included) like to lump those who would tell us the ugly truth about our cult into demeaning categories. Bitter was always a good one. Truth too hard to take? No problem, label the messenger bitter and ignore everything they have to say. Can't take the fact that you are not as right as you thought you were? No problem, label the messenger a "basher" and ignore the message as you claim another inch or two of downward movement into the sand.
  11. Egads, that site looks like it was thrown together around 1998 or so. UGLY...(not to sound bitter)
  12. I would comment further but can't....just too bitter....oh, and need to kiss some butt....brb.
  13. This description is rich. Ya, big university there VP. <_<
  14. Need anyone say more? http://www.precastconcrete.org/~messiah7/quz_ipikepk.htm
  15. Do they ever with someone waybrained as can be?
  16. I can't speak for Gary's viewpoint, but I will guarantee that Rosie will rely on God to repay you. After all, if you give more than 10% it's God's job to open the windows of heaven to pour you out a blessing you shall not have room enough to receive. God forbid that she should credit or recompense those that built her house. Presently she has service oriented departments at the way swing by and clean her house, mow her lawn, etc. She is charged a nominal fee because the law says that sort of thing uncompensated would be a private inurement. Yet she sneers down at others who have given abundantly and are on hard times as having insufficient believing for God to meet their need, instead of pouring out compassion, mercy and grace in the person's direction. Another digression....yet I want it known.
  17. Not rhetorical, definitely open for discussion. It's interesting to me to hear some of the history you included. I think Preservation Society fits TWI.
  18. Can't get rid of Johnny. He knows where the bodies are buried. What could be more....valuable?
  19. You can always list homemade mayonnaise.
  20. Great post T&O! Personally, I found (at least in our profession) that the sooner we forgot about how the way international does things the better off we would be. There was simply no room for their outdated methods in our line of work. Yes, granted, there were a lot of things they did right - I think for any organization to stay a-float they have to do some things right. But if it wasn't for their estimated 50 something, odd million dollars squirreled (Ham!) away then they would be forced to change to survive. The disservice they do to their employees is in-excusable. Take their money, time, energy and give them hardly anything measurable in return. But call it the greatest in the world. What a con-job.
  21. This is one of the rare times I am left speechless.
